Inspiration

Shivaji Bhonsale

The founder of the Maratha Kingdom, Chhatrapati Shivaji was born on 19th February, 1630 to be a natural leader. Till date, the day is celebrated as Shiv Jayanti with great rigour and traditional style by Maharashtrians. Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, one of the greatest organisers in the history of the world. The man who 'welded the Marathas into a mighty nation', was also an outstanding military strategist, brave executive and an enlightened administrator.

Truly he was the king of people, a motivating and an ideal leader for centuries to come but above all, he was the man of fine, honorable character. Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj is popularly known as “Raytecha Raja” (King of People) who gave all his life to establish, defend & expand the great “Maratha Empire”. He took the oath to establish the “Swarajya” (Own Kingdom) at the age of 15 along with few friends who later popularly known as “Mavale”.

His life principles and response to situations are greatest learnings for us. His life is full of inspiration to today’s world. These days we see many people getting depressed by failures, first thing what we can learn is to never accept defeat. It is said 'Defeated is not the one who falls down but the one who does not gets up after falling down', Shivaji Maharaj is a great example of this, after the humiliating treaty of Purandar he choose to rebuilt his entire kingdom rather than accpeting suzeranity of Mughals.

There are dozens of things which can be learnt from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.

1  Intelligence is greater than power

We must use our intelligence in doing anything. Intelligence starts its working too prior than the power does. It helps us achieve those things which are beyond our sight. Intelligence administrate the power. We cannot achieve any of our goal without intelligence. Even power games like wrestling, boxing needs intelligence to make strategies & planning.

2 Know everything about your competitor to win over them

In today’s world when we face our competitors whether it is business, sports, job, etc. we must know our competitor thoroughly. We should make SWOT analysis of both , derive our further strategies.

3  Build Trust through Effective Communication
