So let's get to know about Mr.Ashok who have been striving for blind in mancherial district and  Creating a positive impact and making an effort to change this society.

Q) From where did you get this great idea? 

There are no schools that are available at Mancherial district for blind. To ensure that all blind have access to education, I started this school in the loving memory of my son. 

Q) How did you choose your profession?

When talking about my profession,I persuing dance from a very young age and eventually I became a classical dance teacher.

Q) Being a dance teacher how will u manage these children?

I do conduct and perform dance programs and from whatever I get, I manage and run this institution. Money is not always a factor but to maintain, take care and for them to have a clean and comfortable life we need funds. 

Q) How many children are there in the school? 

As of now we have 25 members with us.

Q) Do you have any plans of expanding this institution?

 As mentioned above we have 25 members and further we are planning to take in orphan. Even though our thoughts are good and for the well being of people, the money is restricting and binding us down. Even though we have limited staff and funds for the rent we are planning on taking in some more students next year.

Q) Is it a day scholar or a residential school?

It is a residential school with free education, free food and hostel. There are 8 teachers and 4 maids who help me run the school effectively. 

Q) If there is any emergency are there any hospitals nearby?

 The hostel facility is so perfect that we have a children specialty hospital and all the facilities nearby.

 Q) Are the students restricted to only studies or are there any other courses too? 

We are open to kids up to 10th class. We offer various other courses like dance, music, yoga, instruments, computer and abacus in Braille script.

 Q) Do you know Braille? 

I do know but the whole education field is handled by my wife who has completed special B.ED on visual impairment.

 Q) What is your Favorite profession? Being a dance teacher or school principal? Which gives you more satisfaction?

 Both dance teacher and school principal. But my dance profession is the resource, that helps me run the school. 

Q) Are there any students who got their vision back? 

Two members have got their vision back. If a child has a possibility to gain their eye sight back we ask their parents to try in hospital rather joining the school. As of now we have children who have no chance to gain their vision back. 

 Q) Where do you get these children from? 

There is no particular source of education for these children in this whole mancherial district. So automatically people will join this institution once they come to know about it. 

 Q) Did you ever think of quitting it or handing over responsibility to others? 

As of now I don’t have any idea of quitting. Even if I want to handover the responsibility I’ll hand it over to my daughter who is studying B-tech III year but not now.

We need more people like Mr.Ashok to make this world a better place filled with kindness, love and helpfulness.
