1. Indian social media users in a show of 'nationalism' outrage against Snapchat CEO Evan Spiegel, downloading the app, rating it one star and deleting it after unconfirmed reports surfaced that Spiegel said he didn't plan on expanding to India as the app was for 'rich people only.' The Indian online marketplace Snapdeal was an unfortunate victim of the event as well, because of similarities in the names.
2. A Hijack alert was sent out in the cities of Mumbai, Chennai and Hyderabad. Airports went into high security mode as security services braced for any possible threat.

3. With all 5 BJP members suspended from the Assembly, the Telangana State Assembly unanimously passed a bill to increase the quota for Muslims from Backward Class (E category) from 4% to 12%. Meanwhile, the reservations for Scheduled Tribes has been increased from 6% to 10%.
