Kakatiya Medical College (KMC), Warangal was established in 1959. The college was inaugurated on 23rd July 1959. The Kakatiya Medical College shifted to its permanent site in November 1961. The permanent campus of the KMC, Warangal was inaugurated in 1966. There are a number of hospitals associated with the Kakatiya Medical College (KMC), Warangal and the hospitals include the Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Hospital, Warangal, the Government Maternity Hospital, Hanamkonda, the Chanda Kanthaiah Memorial Hospital, Warangal, the Regional Eye Hospital, Warangal and the Regional TB and Chest Hospital.
