The movie ‘Kapoor and Sons’ got released the last Friday and has been getting positive reviews. It is both entertaining, thought-provoking and actually hits the right chords of sentiment.

The story revolves around the two brothers Siddarth and Fawad who returns to India. As the Patriarch of the Family(Rishi Kapoor) suffers from heart attack. They invite and bring all the people close to him and his family together.Meanwhile, there is been a lot of banter and chatter between the parents of these brothers. The interval ends up in giving us a hint of intense drama which is going to unfold in the second half.

The second half is dragged a bit.The second half gets more intense as film moves. It ends on a high and a happy ending.Every character has its own importance and the actors have contributed immensely to this movie.Alia Bhat fits into the role perfectly.Fawad Khan has done splendidly well along with Rishi Kapoor. The direction and screenplay are top-notch.

On February 20, 1962, John H. Glenn became the third American in space and the first to orbit the Earth when he successfully completed three orbits aboard the space capsule “Friendship 7.” In the midst of Cold War tensions and the very real fear that the Soviet Union was winning the space race, Glenn’s accomplishment brought a sense of pride and relief to Americans and instantly made the 31-year-old Glenn a national hero. On the 50th anniversary of this historic flight, here are seven things you might not know about Friendship 7 and its pilot, John Glenn.

txt
rich_1458577243372

1. John Glenn was a star before joining the Mercury program.

Glenn had fallen in love with flying at an early age, building model airplanes while growing up in Ohio. In 1941, Glenn discovered a U.S. Department of Commerce program looking for students to train as pilots. Just six months after Glenn received his license, the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor, and he enlisted and was eventually assigned to the U.S. Marine Corps. Glenn flew 59 missions in the South Pacific, where one of his wingmen was baseball legend Ted Williams. After serving in the Korean War, Glenn was appointed to a naval test pilot program, where he completed the world’s first supersonic transcontinental flight in 1957. Glenn received an enormous amount of publicity following this feat, which brought him to the attention of the NACA, the predecessor to NASA, who selected him to become one of the Mercury 7 astronauts

txt
rich_1458577343524

2. John Glenn gave his space capsule the name Friendship 7.

The official name for Glenn’s mission was Mercury-Atlas 6. “Mercury” for the mission program, itself named after the Roman god of speed, and “Atlas 6” to indicate that this was the 6th mission to use the new, faster Atlas rocket as a launch vehicle. As was common practice among most pilots, the astronauts selected for the Mercury program often gave their capsules personal nicknames–Glenn asked his children for suggestions on what he should name the vessel, finally deciding on the word “Friendship” and adding the number “7” to honor his fellow Mercury members.

txt
rich_1458577353113

3. Glenn’s mission was delayed numerous times, leading to concern and anxiety.

Originally scheduled for December and then pushed to January 13, problems with the new Atlas rocket that would serve as the space capsule’s launching pad caused a two-week delay. On January 27, with Glenn already onboard the tiny capsule, poor weather conditions forced another series of postponements. Television crews were already set up to broadcast from both the launch site and Glenn’s home, where his wife, Annie, and children were anxiously watching. When the mission was scrapped, the reporters, accompanied by none other than Vice President Lyndon Johnson, tried to gain access to Glenn’s home in hopes of interviewing his wife. Annie refused, and when John heard about the pressure put on his wife, he backed her up, leading to a clash with officials. The launch was delayed yet again on January 30, after a fuel leak was discovered, followed by yet another weather delay. Finally, with all mechanical issues solved and fair weather forecasted, Glenn was once again strapped into Friendship 7 early on the morning of February 20, 1962.

txt
rich_1458577374643

4. Glenn didn’t hear the words “Godspeed, John Glenn.”

Scott Carpenter, the backup astronaut for the mission, uttered the phrase most associated with man’s first orbit of the Earth. As mission control performed its final system checks, test conductor Tom O’Malley initiated the launch sequence, adding a personal prayer, “May the good Lord ride all the way,” to which Carpenter added, “Godspeed, John Glenn.” Carpenter later explained that he had come up with the phrase on the spot, but the phrase did have meaning for any test pilot and astronaut: “In those days, speed was magic…and nobody had gone that fast. If you can get that speed, you’re home-free.” The phrase became part of the public consciousness, however Glenn himself didn’t hear Carpenter’s comment until he had returned to Earth. Due to a glitch in Glenn’s radio, Carpenter’s microphone wasn’t on his frequency.

txt
rich_1458577410333

5. There were several scary moments aboard Friendship 7.

The launch of Friendship 7 went flawlessly, and Glenn encountered few issues in the early stages of the flight. During his second orbit, mission control noticed a sensor was issuing a warning that Friendship 7’s heat shield and landing bag were not secure, putting the mission, and Glenn in danger. Officials did not immediately inform Glenn of the potential problem, instead asking him to run a series of small tests on the system to see if that resolved the issue, which eventually clued Glenn in to their concerns. After a series of discussions, it was decided that rather than following standard procedures and discard the retrorocket (an engine designed to slow down the capsule upon reentry), Glenn would keep the rocket in place to help secure the heat shield. He successfully reentered the Earth’s atmosphere and splashed down in the Atlantic Ocean after a flight of 4 hours and 55 minutes. When officials inspected the recovered capsule, they determined that the heat shield had never been in danger and a faulty sensor had caused the problem.

txt
rich_1458577493218

6. The truth behind the mysterious “fireflies” that John Glenn saw.

During the first of Glenn’s three orbits, he reported seeing a series of small particles floating outside his capsule. As he reported to NASA, he had never seen anything like it, and he thought it looked like a series of stars were surrounding him. Glenn referred the specks as “fireflies,” and tried banging on his capsule walls to see if he could make them move, which he could. NASA scientists feared it was malfunctioning part of the space capsule, though some thought Glenn’s vision was caused by a medical condition he encountered while in space while others tried to find a more spiritual meaning to the celestial “fireflies.” So, what were they? The mystery was solved later that year, when another Mercury astronaut, Scott Carpenter, made his orbital flight aboard Aurora 7. Carpenter also reported seeing the particles, and to him the looked like snowflakes. Turns out, Carpenter was pretty close to the truth. They were indeed bits of frozen condensation on the capsules’ exterior that broke off as it moved from through areas of varying temperatures.

txt
rich_1458577449058

7. Glenn’s returned to space, 36 years after Friendship 7.

John Glenn remained with NASA until 1964, but did not return to space in any of the later Mercury missions. It is believed that President Kennedy and other government officials, well aware of the symbolic importance of the first man to orbit the Earth, ordered NASA to keep him grounded, for fear of his being injured or killed in a space program that was still, in many ways, in the developmental stage. Glenn returned to Ohio, where he became a successful businessman. He later entered politics, and was elected to the U.S. Senate in 1974, serving four terms. Glenn maintained close contacts with NASA, and spoke often of his regret at not having been part of subsequent missions, including the lunar landings. In 1998, however, John Glenn got his wish and returned to space. Though it had been more than 35 years since he had last suited up, Glenn was selected as part of the crew aboard the space shuttle Discovery. His participation, at the age of 77, would allow scientists to study the affects of space travel on the elderly. When Glenn returned from the nine-day mission, he and his fellow crew members were welcomed home with a ticker-tape parade in New York City, marking the second time Glenn had received such an honor.
"}]

The hepatitis B virus (HBV), which is up to 100 times more infectious than HIV, is primarily transmitted through blood or other bodily fluids. HBV infects liver cells and chronic infection can lead to serious health problems such as cirrhosis or liver cancer. According to the World Health organization, chronic hepatitis B affects nearly 240 million people worldwide, killing almost 800,000 people a year. Drugs are available to treat HBV, but they rarely cure the infection, and so the virus typically returns after the treatment ends. In a study published in Nature this week, an international team led by researchers from the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Geneva (UNIGE), Switzerland, discovered how our cells defend themselves against HBV infection, but also how the virus fights back. we all know water is the universal solvent and how important it is in our day to day life.We can describe it as "the origin of our life". Water is the creator and destroyer of life because life was started in water by a microorganism and without water any organism will die. Water covers two-thirds of the surface of the earth, but fresh water is 0.002 on the earth.

We start our day with brushing using water and end the day with face wash using it and even use it all

the day long for many purposes like drinking, cleaning, preparing food,washing,etc.., Even though we know the importance of water we waste it a lot.

WE WILL NEVER KNOW THE WORTH OF WATER TILL THE WELL IS DRY

Now a days many people are suffering due to lack of water. But some don't have any water problem and they are using it extensively which is causing water problem. If these people use it with in the limit they can save many people's life.

To avoid this, the government is striving a lot and implementing many schemes to provide water but

I think there is no need of all these schemes if we think of that EVERY DROP OF WATER COUNTS.Though the government may provide many schemes , water will be saved if and only if every individual takes the initiative of saving water from their home.

SAVE WATER -SAVE LIFE as thousands of people can live without love but not without water.
"}]

Though the enitirity of the specifications have not been yet revealed by the company and Sai Srinivas, the founder of CREO has released a statement stating that the internet claims of the specifications are totally untrue and the company is after software and has little in the race of hardware.

But in the end, its always the consumer who is the winner of this race who gets to taste all the exotic flavours of digital flourishment.

2) What made you all a gang?

We started out with a sole purpose of having fun while bringing around some cheer. The club was just to help people come forward; little did we know that in helping people, we're helping ourselves to make friends for a lifetime.

3) Are you all from same class and branch?

Nope! We are not from the same class or year. We belong to the 4th, 3rd and as well as the 2nd year. And we somehow are all from the same department, which is CSE, while we weren't supposed to have just the CSE students. :P

4) What is your memorable moment?

The club conducted an inter consortium event, titled, 'Munito' inviting every college of the Aurora consortium to take part. Organising that event took everything we had, and the fun we had during that time, was the best of our lives. Never once did we lose faith, and when our events were applauded all around, and met with great feedback, we knew - this was the moment of a lifetime. Another moment was when we received the Best Club Award, presented by the TJAC Chairman - Prof. Kondandaram Reddy, at the recently conducted Annual Day of ATRI.

5) Did you ever have a fight among yourselves? Why? And how did you compromise?

Yes, definitely. We've had fights and millions of arguments. Be it something related to the work we do or our personal friendships. We've always stood for what is right and have never been carried away by any kind of a compromise. We recently had conducted an inter-consortium event, that's where the differences started to pop in. Yet, we stand stronger than a rock does.

6) Did you all go for a memorable trip? Where is it?

After successfully conducting 'Munito', our faculty coordinator, Dr Aparna Reddy Ma'am, treated us with a luncheon. We had lunch at Ohris 70mm, on the 26th of January, and that was one field trip, that we wish we can keep going back to.

7) Any funny punishment from your college?

Nahhh! We somehow always managed to have amazing fun but never got badly eyed at by any of the college authorities or Professors or the Director. We have a decorum of having fun too! Haha! :P

8) Who is the funniest among your gang and what would you teach him?

Nagender Chauhan - undoubtedly - is the funniest bloke amidst us. His penchant to see the derogatory in any and every situation makes him a brilliant person to have around. I don't know what we will have him learn, but a little seriousness at work, and less child-like behaviour will really come in handy. That being said, he is one smart and intelligent boy.

9) If you want to change the world what would you do?

Our college is our world for now. :P Haha! To start off, we'd like to bring in more members into our club to not make it look like a CSE-Club. We'd like to spread awareness in the college about how important and helpful these Literary Activities could be.

10) Anything which is untold in your gang, which you want to share in this platform?

Well, to tell the truth, there is nothing 'untold' about us. What makes us unique is the cultures that we all come from. We've people who have an opinion on anything and everything. When we started out, all we had was just us, and the faculty coordinator to back us, and from scratch, we built it to become the best club at ATRI. We - in a rather eccentric way - have always been there for each other - personally and professionally. We have made friends for a lifetime - friends who we cannot get one day without. So, yes, that is all there is about us, we are who we are. And we do what we love doing the most.
"}]
There may be a new way to accelerate plastic decomposition ,and it involve bacteria.

A newly study from JAPANESE SCIENTISTS says a new strain of bacteria found out side a recycling facility eats plastic .

It can take hundreds of years for plastic to naturally break down. And considering researches believe there will be more plastic in the ocean than fish by the year 2050,that's a problem.

The newly discovered bacteria eats a type of plastic found in many every day products , such as water bottles. And for low quality plastic, the strain could consume it in about SIX WEEKS.

There are still some issues that further research on the topic, like how to adhere the bacteria to large amounts of plastic. Some also worry that possible toxins could be released from decomposition.

While the study focused on a new strain of bacteria, it isn't the first time scientists have discovered new ways to degrade plastics. In september, ONE STUDY FOUND certain type of plastics like styrofoam, could be the next meal for some larvae.

And researchers have been working FOR YEARS to develop plastic that's degradable by water.

THANKS FOR SPENDING YOUR'S VALUABLE TIME.
