The air gets thinner and thinner as we move up from the surface of the earth. Space doesn't  have a strict restricted boundary, the atmosphere extends much farther than the internationally agreed upon line of space which is conventional boundary between atmosphere and outer space. There is no firm boundary where space begins. However, this line which forms the 'Boundary of space' is known as the 'Karman' Line which rests at 100 km above the surface of the earth and it's crossed by everything from sounding rockets to space planes.<\/p>According to the BIG BANG theory, 13.7 billion years ago explosion in lunas(a highly compressed atomic size body) had taken place due to pressure inside it. After the explosion, dust particles along with hydrogen accumulated due to gravity, galaxies are formed. After this, formation of star begun due to fusion of hydrogen and helium. After 300 million years due to stars formation, some of the stars exploded due to extreme pressure. This is called 'Supernovae' which was the reason of formation of elements like carbon, iron and all other except hydrogen and helium. 'Supernovae' also increased the distance between celestial bodies. Thus, making the space vast. <\/p>Earth is undoubtedly one of the celestial bodies which is composed of matter and has a mass, an atmosphere and little creatures running around and on it. Outer space is the void that exists between celestial bodies. It is an expanse of empty space in which nothing (or nearly nothing) exists.<\/p>Space is any extent in 3D with relative position and direction. Space is everywhere. That means the edge of space is less of a barrier and more of a moving target, changing as we achieve new milestones and achievements in spaceflight. Space begins where infinity begins.
