We solved the problem of EAMCET rank placements with www.eamcetrank.com, now we're also going to help students make a career for themselves in offbeat careers like becoming a chef, even equipping themselves with the knowledge of the inner workings of a startup, business and a large corporation. Of course, it can be argued that startups today are not offbeat anymore, but they still carry a degree a risk, risk which can be mitigated with the proper training and knowledge. So how does one go about looking for a college where you'll not only learn how to manage a business, but also learn the fun stuff, basically cooking like the legend that you are?

1. Clubs, both physical and mental

Let's get all the fun stuff aside first. College is a place where you grow personally and professionally, and as the old adage goes, 'All work and no play makes Jack a very dull boy'. Pick a college where you are allowed to express who you are, not hide it behind veils, that'll just stunt your personal growth. Clubs like Film clubs that are filled with people who are open to debate about their favourite movies, discussing well shot and well written movies and more, like making a short film yourself along with fellow film buffs, and then there's the sports club, which needs no introduction.

2. Encouraging the Entrepreneurial Spirit

When you're set to dive headfirst into a career where uncertainty is the theme of the hour, and indeed the day, it is always a great idea to come prepared. Therefore, it is imperative that one must pick a college that encourages Entrepreneurship in college itself. Having an idea alone isn't all that there is to being an Entrepreneur, it requires quick thinking, making decisions on the fly with the information you're presented, and preparing for the unknown, because in a business, its always the unknowns that come back to bite you.

3. Alumni:

A strong network of Alumni can help you in ways more than one. Sometimes in an industry, any industry for that matter, it pays to know someone working in it. Networking and building your reputation as well as securing jobs thanks to your excellent network of friends and Alumni is one of the greatest steps in furthering your career, or starting it. Having a strong alumni network, and you cultivating relationships with your seniors and alumni is probably the closest we'll come to actually having opportunities come knocking on our doors. India is an incredibly diverse nation, and it only is natural that some of the best colleges attract some of the best talents from across the country, and not just where it's based. Over the last few years, there has been an extensive rise in the number of short films that come out here and social media has enabled these independent film-makers gain the much needed foothold in the world of film-making. Some, like Tharun Bhascker, have even made much appreciated and commercially successful feature films, having started off with short films.

Just like that, Ankith Koyya, a fourth year CSE student at GITAM university, Vizag, never thought his interest in acting and his foray into acting a short film will bag him the Best Actor in a Supporting Role award at the recently held SIIMA awards. Ankith, who has been acting on stage since the time he was in school, is a part of the university's drama club - Faces, and says "I was happy at my nomination but actually winning it came as a big surprise and has really motivated me further."

"I was always into acting, right from my school. I used to love watching films and would also watch a lot of making-videos of films and that was when I actually got hooked onto movies. Later when I joined GITAM, I was automatically drawn towards Faces. I did a lot of plays in college and while that was going on, I randomly got a call from a casting director, Praveena Subbalakshmi from Bangalore and that's how I ended up doing an ad for OLX with Allu Arjun. I'm really thankful to her for giving me this break and later in 2016, I did this short film" says the son of two teachers, who constantly supported him in his acting all throughout his life.

The 42 minute short film, titled Yedhane Vadili Vellipomakey, was shot in and around Vizag by Vizag Vaasi Productions and was helmed by Srikanth.

This short film, in conjunction with his efforts, have helped him bag a role in the upcoming movie Ala, helmed by debutant director Sarat Palanki. "I am playing the male lead's brother in this film and is an important role. In addition to acting, I'm also learning the ropes of film-making here and we are planning on releasing it in September," says the boy who is planning on studying acting and film-making after his engineering is done.

But how does he manage the rigour of engineering with hectic schedules of acting? On being asked this, the 8.1 CGPA holder says "My parents are very supportive and they ensure I study when it's the right time. Even in college, Jaidhan sir is very supportive and he helps me a lot."
"}]

The concept of education is almost incomprehensible without teachers. The first memory of our school life for most of us is likely that of a teacher. It is often said that teachers are our second parents and it wouldn't be wrong to say so.

Teachers are our first guides. They teach us our first lessons. They are the ones who educate us about morals, ethics and the difference between right and wrong. They are the givers of knowledge. The way teachers teach us might create an interest in the subject. The activities that they organise are responsible not only for teaching us but also add some fun to the mix. Their reprimands might seem a little harsh but are always meant for our betterment. They never shirk from their duties. They are the ones who are responsible for moulding us into responsible human beings.

Like DNA, each teacher is unique. But one thing that is common is their desire to shape the future of the country. Teaching is one of the most thankless jobs. Teachers are some of the most hardworking individuals.Even when we have our holidays, they still work. Students come and go but a teacher is always there.Imagine how many years they spend teaching almost the same thing, correcting the same papers, doing the same tasks relentlessly. And they never expect a thing in return.

So we should always remember that no matter how much we achieve, it is our teachers who are primarily responsible for it. So always treat them with respect and gratitude.
"}]
