While some job interviewers take a fairly unusual approach to interview questions, most job interviews involve an exchange of common interview questions and answers. Be it an admission into a B-school or a job interview there are a set of similar questions asked. Interviewers expect you to answer these questions smoothly without panic. Make sure you do not give a rehearsed answer. Here are some of the most common interview questions, along with the best way to answer them:

txt
rich_1490441787346
1. Tell Us A Little About Yourself:One of the most common questions asked in any interview. The idea behind this question could be to know some interesting questions that your resume does not reveal. Mostly this is the first question the panel would be asking you, so it is your responsibility to channelise the interview in a direction you want to. So tell them interesting details about yourself. And prepare yourself for cross questions from the details. So by tactfully telling them things only you want to tell them or things you are strong at is the hack to nail this particular question. Try and tell them details they find relevant to the required profile.
txt
rich_1490441273973
2. Where do you see Yourself in five years:Answers to this question go one of two basic ways. Candidates try to show their incredible ambition by providing an extremely optimistic answer: "I want your job!" Or they try to show their humility by providing a meek, self-deprecating answer -"There are so many talented people here. I just want to do a great job and see where my talents take me."Either of the answer will not impress the interviewer, make sure your answer is optimistic and practical as well. So if you are a fresher the most suitable answer would be "I want to see myself in the in the middle level management in five years and aspire to grow more in my professional career.

txt
rich_1490441852336
3. Why do you want this job: Now go deeper. Don't answer to earn more money or to make a lucrative career. Because in that case question yourself - Why should the company hire you because you need to earn money. Don't just talk about why the company would be great to work for; talk about how the position is a perfect fit for what you hope to accomplish, both short-term and long-term and how it is conducive to the organisation.

txt
rich_1490442030224
4. What are your biggest strengths and Weaknesses: Your resume and experience should make your strengths readily apparent, yet they would ask you this question to make sure that what you have written in the resume is true. So make sure you are familiar with what you have written in the resume. Provide a sharp, on-point answer. Be clear and precise. If you're a great problem solver, don't just say that but provide a few examples to validate. In short, don't just claim to have certain attributes -- prove you have those attributes. Same is with weaknesses; try and tell them how you have or are planning to overcome your inherent flaws.
txt
rich_1490442358223
5. What questions do you have for me: Don't waste this opportunity. Ask smart questions, not just as a way to show you're a great candidate but also to see if the company or the B-School is a good fit for you -- after all, you're being interviewed, but you're also interviewing the company. But make sure you don't seem over confident and aggressive. Try and make in impression, don't ruin your interview with blunt and silly questions. Educational Tour increases our knowledge and new thoughts and ideas grow up in us. The education of man remains incomplete if he does not visit important places of the world. Reading of books only provides man with half knowledge. But travelling with eyes wide open and mind fully gives him full knowledge.
Travelling also removes his narrowness and superstitions. It makes a traveler smart and self-reliant. Owing to the fabulous progress in the field of communication, travelling today involves less hazards. Hence, students must take part in educational tours. It is both entertaining and instructing for them.
From Kashmir valley to Kanyakumari and from Kutch to Kalimpong, in the east, our country provides hundreds of places known for architecture, climate, scenery, environment, history, development, industry, culture, music, dance, religion a fauna. Then, there are seats of learning, which one may like to visit. Educational tour exposes your mind to the diverse cultures of India. The feeling of Unity in Diversity and Communal Harmony takes birth through educational tours.
The education of a student remains incomplete without travelling. Educational institutions and tourist bureaus often arranges study tours at affordable rates. Many schools and colleges arrange visit to places that are of geographical or historical importance. Visit to historical places give students a practical insight of the past events. After visiting these historical places, when these students read about those places or events, then they are able to fully understand the subject.
It is very difficult to understand the nature of various types of soils, forests, etc. simply by reading textbooks. Travel to places of geographical importance also helps a student to grasp the depth of the subject.
It has been observed that in cities’ students are travelling twice a year either with their respective schools/colleges or with their parents or friends, because there is no financial problem with them, whereas students of village schools are deprived of such travels for their want of money. Government should look into the matter and make arrangement for Education Tours in Village Schools.
Why one travels can be identified by what one does, occupationally & otherwise. People travel on business, travel for pleasure, travel to inspire themselves to write, travel for love but eventually travel to learn. It is the pursuit of a million ideas and the realisation of one. It is rekindling the latent childlike inquisition that resides deep down in the pits of our minds, hidden under the veils of our daily abstractions. Travel in my opinion, is the consequence of a restless mind. A resultant of a body tired of knowing what to expect. We all love feeling enchanted but when the ecosystem that one resides in reaches a point of insignificance, a figurative blur, a monotonous hum from that discordant cacophony that rocked you off your bed every morning, travel beckons. Travel unravels the beauties and the beasts of a world unfamiliar. It's a kaleidoscopic adventure with a spectrum of colors, a host of possibilities and one eventuality, momentary bliss.

txt
rich_1490393358716
Virtual Reality, a technology which just a few years ago existed only in the fantasies of science fiction writers, with Science Fiction legend Hugo Gernsback envisioning for the very first time in 1963, it is now a reality, thanks to companies like Oculus Rift and the Valve Corporation commissioned HTC Vive. However, this often can be expensive and simply out of reach for some, whereas the hardware required by the VR technology currently present in the market might prove bothersome to use, too clunky or too uncomfortable, depending on who you ask.
Meet Rachana Bagde, who recognised the potential of VR, and decided to circumvent the need of expensive and bulky hardware. A Resume is something that serves as the primary basis of your selection in a job interview; in order to make a good impression, your resume has to stand out. One would think that your college life has prepared you to take on the challenges of a workplace, but many students go straight from college to their jobs and are often overwhelmed, combined with social media which has all your friends posting pictures of their picture perfect lives and it can quickly lead to unhappiness, even in your first job. Months will feel like years, days will feel like months, but it doesn't have to be this way. It isn't a coincidence that India is ranked 122 on the World Happiness Index, behind even conflict struck countries.

Having a healthy life at work is not just limited to the workplace, but what you do with yourself on your own time as well. With the 2013 batch just about ready to graduate this year, here's some advice for the students of today who will becoming professionals of tomorrow.

1. Speak with your boss

Getting a general feel of the workplace, their vision and the way work is done around the office. Being in tune with the leadership and getting your work done on time will go a long way in improving your standing and your workplace happiness, and that can be done by speaking with your colleagues and your boss.

2. Remember to be polite and professional

The time for petty fights in college is past you, and while there will always be people playing office politics, put yourself above the rest, and always be professional, respectful and polite with your coworkers. It can go a long way in building a reputation for yourself, if not for the reason that it the right thing to do, but for the simple reason that even one moment of unprofessionalism can be a risk to your job.

3. Remember that it is not college anymore

There are no set books for you to read and then write the same in some sort of an exam, there are no all in one guides to help you out. The company that has hired you did so because they felt confident in your abilities to work without handholding, and that is what you're going to do.

Sure, I can see why this may feel overwhelming, first job, you feel like you're a fish out of the water, but this is why speaking with your colleagues and your boss is important, it'll give you a feel to the place and an idea of how to work, and not just what you have to do.

4. Know Your Industry!

Indians tend to survive, not live, often not knowing what they want from life and just existing on a day to day basis, but more on this later. This leads to people just working for the sake of working, which carries over from studying for the sake of studying, which helps nobody. I'm sure you've all read the articles about how an abysmally low number of Indian graduates are employable. You don't have to be a part of that, if you research your industry and know what you are doing. This is absolutely crucial if you want to have a healthy work life, and ensures you are in sync with your colleagues.

5. Find things that make you love your job, or work in a field that you love.

Hating the place of work, or your work can really throw your entire life out of gear. If your workplace performance affects your home life, and vice versa, disrupting the precious work-life balance, it can be extremely frustrating, to the point of tearing your hair out, can even lead to medical complications at an early age. Of course, it doesn't have to be this way, if you find a job in a field that you truly enjoy, however, if you do not have that luxury, you could always find the little things that you enjoy about your job. Keeping a positive attitude is absolutely essential.

While the above points deal with the workplace either directly or indirectly, if you don't take care of yourself, no amount of enjoying your work will help you in staying content and happy with what you do. The following points will deal with how you, the upcoming employee, can stay at the top of their peak performance game by taking care of themselves. From putting miles on your soul and soles, to helping those who aren't as privileged as you, there are a lot of things you can do!

6. Volunteer

Humans, especially Indians, no matter how you were treated in school and college, are not machines that can churn out work and do the same next day with nothing in between. We are social and emotional beings, that are sometimes driven by logic and reason, sometimes we are not. There are things that we've had, like access to clean drinking water, education from great institutes, a happy family, that many believe are out of their reach. So why not volunteer and help them out, be a part of a movement to show that yes, you care about your fellow human beings. There are plenty of volunteer organisations that can use your support, so what is keeping you?

7. Learn a new skill

Apart from being great at conversations, a skill can give you access to people, like minded people, that you can identify with and make connections, and the number of skills you can learn are endless. Does a guitar interest you? Did you always want to play the drums like John Bonham of Led Zeppelin? Do you want to learn how to paint? Don't just dream about it, do it. Go make that short film that you wanted to make by learning about filmmaking, that song you wanted to sing to impress that special person using the instrument of your choice. Live, because we only have one life, after all.

8. Learn to cook

Let me start this off by saying, for a moderate amount of time invested in cooking, you can save a lot of money if you do it yourself. I mean sure, eating outside is awesome and all but if it regular, it can burn a serious hole in your pocket, which, let's be honest, is not something you should want considering you're still a fresher and you have rent to pay. Everyone should learn to cook, it will save your life, especially when you are working in another city.

9. Workout

Break out those running shoes you bought but never used, it's time to get fit. There are innumerable studies that show the impact of working out fresh in the morning, getting your blood raging and ready to take on the rest of the day by it's horns. This is even more important considering today's mostly sedentary lifestyle at work, and India's carb rich diet.

I mean sure, enjoying your life in the 20s is important, but so is staying alive for a longer time than the country's average.

10. Travel

This is not just a pre first job requirement, but a before you're 30 requirement. Travel, see the country, backpack to obscure places, travel with the people from India's heartland, experience the true India, go abroad if you can, drive to Leh - Ladakh, hike the Himalayas, you don't even need to go abroad, because India is such a beautiful country, we have everything here. I could continue listing, and it'll take me days to finish, but that just highlights my points, travel, solo, as much as you can, wherever you can. Experience yourself, discover yourself, put some miles on that soul of yours, and soles of your shoes. Travel as much and as often as you can, it is some of the best things you can do for yourself.

People in the world are quite passionate about rapid growth of technological trends and advancements in the lifestyle. Ego is the feeling that differs the individual from the society.

With the advent of social media in everyone's lives, there has been a spike in the egos of people across the world, and not just India. It's a negative shade, something that is affecting the lives of so many around us, and yet most of us are blind to it's ill affects. Some don't want to see, some cannot see.
The fact remains that all of us are equals, putting aside the inequalities defined by the society, whether economical or discriminatory, all of us are born equal, and all of us will die as equals, so what is it with this ego that the youth of today have? It is destroying the relationships we share with our peers, breaking friendships and sometimes even hurting families. Today, people are obsessed with maintaining their online image, and they tie this arbitrary and insignificant part of their lives with their ego, leading to friction in many of their relationships.
The affects of ego and social media combining to form a juggernaut of epic proportions need to be eradicated as soon as possible, nipped in the bud wherever it appears. It is ruining lives, this however does not mean people who use social media responsibly are supposed to stop using it, as a wise man once said, everything in excess is harmful.
"}]

Travelling plays an important role in our education. The terms ‘travelling’ and ‘education ‘cannot be alienated from each other. Our education remains incomplete without travelling.

“Travelling” means going from one place to other places. In ancient times travelling was very difficult and risky because there were no proper roads and transports. A traveler had to pass hills and forests. He had to face the fury of nature, wild beasts, robbers and many other obstacles.

With triumph of science, travelling has now become easy, cheap, quick and pleasant. Due to invention of steamships railways, electricity, motor cars and airplanes, our journey from one place to and other place even in abroad has become very easy and comfortable.

Travelling is now regarded as an important part of education.

"}]

She founded the company, G for Gestures, to solve this very problem.

"I didn't start working on this with the intention of building a start up around it," says Rachana, "this was intended to be a college project, I wanted to see if we could get around the limitations of using expensive hardware for VR. I had interned with a company based out of Pune, where they used hand gestures to control a robotic arm, and ever since I saw that, I wanted to do something using gestures."

Rachana's pitch impressed an investor, leading to them taking an interest and funding the project, "That was the moment when it wasn't simply a college project anymore, but something with massive business potential" she says.

The G for Gestures package comes with a body sensor, for the user, and a 3D world modelled as per client wishes. Rachana has also launched a product for the hospitality industry, called 'The Hotel Suite Virtual Tour', for 5 star hotels that may want to give their clients a virtual tour of the place.

Rachana is currently pursuing her dual degree course from IIIT Gwalior, and has interned at various tech companies across India before launching her first venture while still in college, "It has been a challenge for me, as an innovator, to bring this technology and to do it without the expensive hardware, but the journey so far as been incredible" she says.

With VR Technology being used in incredible new ways, and not just for video games and immersive experiences, we ask her if she sees the potential of G for Gestures going beyond what it is today, "Definitely, this technology can be adapted in any field, and I see it growing from what it is today" she replies, "I see this tech taking off in a big way in a few short years. We are currently in talks with a few companies, more on that when the time comes" she concludes.

With VR and AR being hotly talked about and debated across the world, the future of technology looks quite bright with plenty of VR based startups forming in India alone. This is a technology that has the potential to change the world, it remains to be seen where the future takes us.

Oh, and if you are wondering how exactly the technology looks like in action, here's a video where Rachana herself explains to the viewer what's going on.
