The world of high fashion is certainly not easy, neither forgiving. But as the old adage goes, if one can dream it, one can achieve it.

As ironic as it is for me, the least fashionable person alive, to interview two fantastic people who have made fashion their life, it was quite an enlightening experience. For those more fashionable among us, The KN Clan is already an established name in the world of social media fashion icons, but the story of the sisters behind the phenomenon, however, has to be told.

So one fine afternoon, I called up Niharika Agarwal, the younger of the two sisters and found, to my pleasant surprise, that both the sisters were together, making my life easier. After the initial introductions, Niharika passed the phone to her sister Kanika and we began the interview.

Being clueless, the first question asked was about the name of their brand, Kanika laughs and says, "KN came from the first letters of our names, as simple as that."

On being asked how their journey began, Kanika says, "We loved dressing up and taking pictures of ourselves. We eventually thought, why not share it on social media as a lot of people used to tell us that our sense of picking the right style and the colour schemes were really good. We started off by posting pictures on Instagram and then it slowly grew from there."

While the story of their organic growth is amazing in itself, it also highlights their seemingly occult ability to pick the right outfit for the occasion, "The idea is to share fashion," says Kanika, "and what we are doing is not something that is super high end or super expensive, but we're mixing and matching things that are easily available and make them fashionable."

Today, The KN Clan has grown to be a brand to be reckoned with. From gaining multitudes of followers on Instagram to moving to other social media platforms as well as a dedicated website, the story of how two sisters turned their passion into a profession is an inspiration to everyone who aspires to chase their dreams.

Curious about the age range of their visitors, I proceeded to question the sisters about the demographics of their website and social media pages, and if they keep it in mind when an outfit is being designed, "Most of our visitors are between the ages of 13-18, but there are people in their 20s, 30s and in some cases, 40s as well," says Kanika, "as for designing the outfits, most of our work is from what is already easily available, being fashionable with the clothes you already have is possible, even if it doesn't seem so," she laughs.

Apart from their regular work, The KN Clan is also focused on curating fashion, working for major fashion brands and of course, designing new outfits.

"What drives you? What would you say is your biggest motivation?", I ask.

Kanika pauses for a second before answering, "I guess it is that passion to work, you know? The passion to do something positive and good with what you're best at. You know you're good at something and you let one excuse or another hold you back, that's never going to work in your favour. Remembering that is essential in keeping me on my feet," whereas Niharika adds, "You obviously need to love what you're doing because if you don't, you'll lose all motivation fast. I personally believe you should give up on your dreams only the day when you not capable of doing anything. One day, when you look back at the life you've lived and think to yourself, look at all I've done, I'm glad I did it, that means you've truly found success. It is better to try than to do nothing and wonder if you would have made it."

The KN Clan today is a team of 10 members, with photographers, content writers, editors and, of course, the sisters themselves working hard to keep the dream alive and kicking, and kicking it is, hard and with pride. Kanika, who is a B.Tech graduate and Niharika fresh off from her graduation in law, make a formidable team. While the elder sister may be behind the lens, making the younger one the face of the clan, they work in tandem to make The KN clan what it is today. There's a lesson for all of us here: teamwork and a good idea can take you places.

Painting, sketching, colouring is what most of us love at our childhood. We take random colours and scribble them and look proudly at our art. Even now we do the same but the only difference is we scribble with hidden meanings behind them.
Each time you feel a art is nice , it's not just the beauty seen in the front but the hidden emotions of a artist. Every minute detail is important because it signifies something. Each and every mistake of shade you try to cover up shows your effort to make it look perfect.
They say art is made to impress the viewer but I feel it is made to realise about one self. If you give a chance each art may teach something behind those hidden colours. It's hard to understand and it feels like your solving a puzzle piece of the artist.

You look at something and draw or you draw on your own each art is something special because each one has its own artist, with their will or passion to create and there is one such friend whom I admire NEHA DIWAN. She is very talented to detail and specify the strokes. She paints out of passion and that reflects in her arts. If you don't believe me here are some of her paintings.
Dude she is such a crazy artist!!...i wonder what her muse is?

I may not be as talented as her but i love the way i can splatter colours without any combinations . How many of you guys have been through some incident which broke you apart? It might be anything, a break up, a failure, loosing someone whom we value, feeling unwanted by the person whom we love and so on. This happens in everyone's life at least once. Have u noticed one thing? People who are successful now are the ones who were broken apart way more than we are now. We always feel that we are the one's who is most broken. Fuck no man!
We got company around us. There is no bad in suffering. But when it starts living our life instead of us, when it starts controlling us, that's when we should turn against it. That's when we become strong.

One of the major problem hidden In a student's life is a break up. No one feels right to speak about it in a public platform because its personal. But dude, sharing your pain with someone else will reduce it. But everyone is embarrassed to speak about it. We are judged wrongly in most cases if we are in a relationship. That's our society. Screw them all. Everyone feels that if we fall in love that's the end of our career. Its a very wrong perception to see things man! Teenage is a beautiful space where a student has to experience life. That's when he steps into maturity. He should taste every damn feeling in that space. Love is such a beautiful emotion. In my opinion falling in love will help us concentrate more on our career as we will have an extra responsibility of supporting our partner in future. I can bet 99% of the society denies it.

Society thinks bad about couples who move close with each other in public. But do u know what's the funny part of it? The same people go home and watch porn in secret! They are even ashamed to take the word SEX in public. Whats wrong in speaking about it? Sexual education is the most important education required to be taught in school level as its the only way to keep our bloodline alive. But our society denies even speaking about it. If someone tries to, they will be treated as the cheapest person on the planet!

When we live in such a society, it should be our responsibility to change it. Because future is what we need to concentrate on. Narrow mindset people will loose in the future.

In my opinion, pain is what changes people. Let them suffer in pain. Then comes realisation. Then comes change. A student's life becomes the most painful when he eithers performs low in academics or when he goes through a heartbreak. So guys, don't worry. Its just a phase in life. If you are going through bad phase now. There will be good phase in future with an open minded society. Don't be scared to fall in love. Don't give up if u fail in love. Face it. Turn your suffering to your advantage.

Fuck people who think wrong about what you do. As long as you think you are right, you are right. The rest are just opinions. Take it or Leave it. All The Best for the fight with the society and let's make the world a better place.

"}]
"Appreciation can make a day, even change a life.your willingness to put it into words is all that is necessary"

Nothing better than appreciation can encourage us to do more than expected. The title - "STUDENT OF THE WEEK " is one such appreciation that stuMagz gives to the students who are constantly making efforts in working on their talent and skills, which further motivates others to do the same. This title is adds a priceless value to the student endeavours in various domains such as content writing, art, marketing, networking, operations, photography and many more...!

We were extremely delighted to have a meet-up with Vamshi sir from stuMagz on Thursday. Along with a quality discussion for making strong decisions in helping every student to reach the stuMagz platform for discovering their hidden talent we also had great experience of receiving our first "Offer letter" and badges being the campus avengers! Excitement reached a new level clapping for students of the week from our college.

Two of our shining stars, were added to the list of Student of the week this time!

As a guitarist, I'm always out seeking newer guitar solos and artists that can move me like no other song ever has. As such, I've discovered a lot of truly great guitarists in my quest for that perfect song. It has been brought to my attention that what I consider a truly great song is not everyone's opinion, an obvious fact of course, but the fact that when it comes to artists that have dedicated their lives to the guitar, there are some things only a musician can pick up.

Take Animals as Leaders for example. To the layman, their songs sound like a lot of out of tune thrashing, but if you've got the right ear and a penchant of listening to songs that are different, you'll understand the true beauty of Djent, and how much it can affect a song.

Which brings us to Electric Sunrise by Plini. It always warms my heart to see and support new and young artists but there's just something special about Plini, the 25 year old from Sydney, Australia. Maybe the fact that he is as old as my brother or the fact that he has achieved so much with his guitar, thus becoming an inspiration to many guitarists and musicians such as myself, is what makes him appealing.

But no, Plini's true genius lies in his work, specifically the song Electric Sunrise. We all have those songs that give you the goosebumps when you first listen to them, but the issue with this song here is that you get the same goosebumps as the ones you got the first time you listened to the song, everytime that you actually do. That right there is amazing.

Let's be honest here though, I'm only writing this here because I had no idea what to write today, and I felt this need to share Plini's work with the world on this platform. I know a lot of young people read stuMagz, people like me, and everyone of us deserves to know about his work and discover his wonders. Check out the song in question down below.

The Blue Whale game or Blue Whale Challenge is believed to be a suicide game wherein a group of administrators or a certain curator gives a participant a task to complete daily — for a period of 50 days — the final of which is the participant committing suicide..

Participants are expected to share photos of the challenges/tasks completed by them..These daily tasks start off easy — such as listening to certain genres of music, waking up at odd hours, watching a horror movie, among others, and then slowly escalate to carving out shapes on one’s skin, self-mutilation and eventually suicide..

There is still uncertainty over how a participant plays the game. While some say the user has to install some app on their smart phone, others say it’s via social media platforms such as Instagram and Facebook where the administrators get in touch with the participant after those interested throw out postings on social media asking for a “curator”. A number of different hashtags— #bluewhalechallenge, #curatorfindme, #i_am_whale — act as signals for the anonymous curators..

It must be noted, however, that there still is no confirmation of the existence of the game, and suicides linked to it are from personal accounts of families/friends of those deceased who claim they have seen their loved ones performing tasks. While reports of suicides linked to the game have surfaced across the globe, authorities claim that the origin appears to be in Russia, which has reportedly seen about 130 related deaths and at least two arrests...

Tune into any infotainment channel like Nat Geo or Discovery and the chances of running into a documentary on some indigenous African or Central American tribe are extremely high but hardly any such documentaries have been made on Indian tribes, all of which have their own ethnic, vibrant art forms. Jennifer Alphonse (pictured below), a Hyderabad based independent film-maker realised this when she went to some remote places in Adilabad district over two years ago.

Smitten and fascinated by the vibrant, high energy dance form Gusadi, of the Gond tribe, she then decided to make a documentary on it. The Gond people, listed under the Scheduled Tribe category, are one of the most backward people in the socio-economic sense but they have a rich culture unique only to them. "I used to see documentaries on TV when I was a child and back then, I didn't know Indian tribes also have their own customs. It was only when I went there, spent time with them that I realised that they have a rich cultural heritage," explains the film maker, whose earlier film 'The Take Over' was screened at the Cannes film festival, adding, "The Gond tribe is one of the ancient tribes of Telangana and as a film-maker, listening to them talk made me want to tell their story to the world."

The time that she spent understanding their culture and their problems made her come back to Hyderabad in search for a producer, as she explains "I searched a lot for producers but because it is not profitable, I couldn't find anyone and that's when I got in touch with Wishberry, a crowdfunding platform. I decided to try it out and I achieved about 60% of the budget through this. I also approached the Telangana government and they gave me assurance that they will support me with the logistics and permissions and the works."

Another reason why she is tenacious about making 'Gusadi' is that the dance form is a dying art. Not many youngsters are taking it up as they'd rather go to the city and work as coolies rather than learn this form which doesn't feed them, as Jennifer shares, "When I was talking to the villagers, they were almost in tears as they told me none of the younger generation wants to learn it. Moreover, even when they are invited to perform at cultural events in the cities, a significant chunk of the payment they receive goes to their transport as most of these places are very remote. In fact, many of these places can only be accessed if you have a 4X4 off road vehicle. I hope my documentary on them will give them the exposure necessary to give them more opportunities."

txt
rich_1504266024834

The guests West Indies hadn't had shown any promise by far and what better could've now been expected of them.

Cometh their fielding first and the show took a turn no one looked up at. And once it was set, it all became a piece of cake for the guests to take over.

Best performer: Shai Hope for his consecutive hundreds and the anchor of the Windies innings in both the innings.

As for the other Ashes playing nation, Australia were the guests for the 2-match Test series against Bangladesh in their home. Since the recent time, the hosts have performed and amazed the world in the shorter formats of the game, but Test still seems not to be in their likings. And that too against the giants like Australia, even their home advantage didn't seem decisive. But the way things panned out was nothing less than a roller coaster ride.

The hosts were the first to bat on and considering the sub-continental conditions, the first innings score of 260 was not bad, below par nonetheless. Not to forget, their firepower is in their bowling unit which outshone the visitors. The Aussies were bowled out at a timid score of 217, giving the hosts a significant lead of 43 runs.
Cometh their batting again and the story was more or less same. The only difference was their middle order didn't come for the support this time and they were bundled up at 221, setting a target of 269 runs for the visitors.
Starting off on a good note and riding on the back of the well-set batsmen, Australia seemed to be cruising to their target, with around 100 more runs to score and 8 wickets in hand. But as they say, fall one and the rest follows. So happened with them as they fell short of the target by 21 runs.

Best performer: Shakib Al Hasan, with a 5-for in both the innings and one of the top scorers of the match.

So yes, Test cricket continues to glorify its image and move with yet more excitement and brilliance. But nothing can be certain in this game. Maybe it was the sheer luck of the sides that led to this result, maybe. It's all unpredictable. 'Cause the game is mysterious and full of surprises.

txt
rich_1504195465963

Avengers they are the backbones of STUMAGZ in their college.
In the past couple of days, the Test cricket has seen the revival of its essence. And as the matter of fact, both the Ashes playing nations have been brought down by the underdogs in the format.

Playing the second match of the series in the Headingley, the hosts England were the favorites after a landslide victory in the first match. The guests West Indies hadn't had shown any promise by far and what better could've now been expected of them.

Cometh their fielding first and the show took a turn no one looked up at. The hosts were down to a below par score of 258 and the discipline of the bowling department got the guests in the game. The response came hard from them as they managed to get a healthy lead of 169 runs. However, if not for the fielding spills here and there from English fielders, things could've been much different.

They not only covered the trail but got a competitive target of 322 on board for Windies. This came up at the end of the day 4 when England declared their innings with 6 more overs of the day remaining. Certainly, they went for a win with an aggressive attitude.

Playing the fourth innings is never too easy, with the pitch played up completely and the presence of cracks and dampness. This innings had similar attributes to their previous one, with two early wickets and later on, a decisive partnership.

So yes, Test cricket continues to glorify its image and move with yet more excitement and brilliance. But nothing can be certain in this game. Maybe it was the sheer luck of the sides that led to this result, maybe. It's all unpredictable. 'Cause the game is mysterious and full of surprises.
