Indians have the notorious reputation of being ignorant of the common problems around. Instead, they have the habit of blaming others and lamenting about their problems. It's not a surprise that in a recent survey, India has been voted the second most ignorant nation in the world after Mexico. Indians are actually oblivious of the fact that most of their perceptions are wrong. It may be in terms of female empowerment, religion, equality, etc.

History proves that Indians are blind towards their own mistakes and are immune to criticism. Criticism is meant to be learnt from and improve upon our mistakes but the problem is that Indians are not willing to accept their blunders, so eventually everything falls on deaf ears. The media and the government is also to be blamed for spreading false propaganda and news which are always agenda driven. Religion also plays spoilsport in some situations and people are falsely instigated towards ridiculous claims.

But it is not that all Indians are ignorant of all the problems India is facing, such as corruption, casteism, political and social problems, etc. But Indians have always tried to ignore this fact and have tried to overlook it. The main problem is that we don't stand up to our problems and always expect others to do so. Illiteracy and unemployment also plays a major part in all this. We all need to take collective responsibility of the most minute problems and need to tackle it together, and not make our country look stupid.

The Indian national team lifted the 2018 Intercontinental Cup by defeating Kenya 2-0 in the final at the Mumbai Football Arena on Sunday. Both the goals were scored by India skipper Sunil Chhetri (8', 29') in the first half. This is the Blue Tiger's fifth consecutive win in a multi-national tournament hosted by the AIFF, which includes the 2007, 2009 and 2012 Nehru Cups and the previous year's Tri-Nation series held at the same venue.

Sunil Chhetri, who won his 100th India senior cap in the group game against Kenya ended up as top scorer with eight goals. Jeje Lalpekhlua, who himself completed 50 appearances for India against New Zealand grabbed two assists with Anirudh Thapa too getting a couple. Sunil Chhetri's first-half brace fires India to Intercontinental Cup title SPORTING NEWS. Moreover, Chhetri has equalled Argentine forward Lionel Messi's record of 64 goals in terms of the number of international goals scored by an active footballer after surpassing David Villa's tally of 59 goals with Spain earlier in the tournament and only remains behind Cristiano Ronaldo's 81 goals for Portugal.

In recent years, Indian Badminton players have made a mark in the international arena. It is one of the most popular sports in India, and is managed by the Badminton Association of India. Badminton gets its name from Badminton House in Gloucestershire, England - the home of the Duke of Beaufort, where the sport was played in the last century. But the sport gained popularity only after 1992, when it made a debut in the Olympics in Barcelona. Since then, it has been a roller coaster ride for the sport and many major Badminton tournaments are played all over the world today.

In Indian Badminton, two names were synonymous with the sport in earlier times- Prakash Padukone and Pullela Gopichand. Prakash Padukone was the first Indian badminton player to win the All England Championship, in 1980. He was also the first player who won the bronze medal in the World championships, in 1983. Pullela Gopichand set records when he won the All England Badminton Championships in 2001. He turned to coaching soon after and established the Gopichand Badminton Academy at Hyderabad which has produced some world class international players such as Saina Nehwal, PV Sindhu and Srikanth Kidambi, just to name a few.

Saina Nehwal first came into the limelight when she won the Gold Medal at the Commonwealth Youth Games in Pune in 2008. Soon after, she reached the quarterfinals of the Beijing Olympics. She went on to win Bronze at the London Olympics and became the first Badminton Player to win a medal at the Olympics. She was also ranked first in the world in 2015, which was a huge feat itself. Then came another young shuttler called PV Sindhu, Sindhu won the bronze medal at the World Championships in Guangzhou in 2013. At the Rio Olympics in 2016,Sindhu became the youngest and first woman to bag an Olympic Silver medal representing India. The men have also not lagged behind and players like Srikanth Kidambi have won laurels for the country. In the doubles circuit, Jwala Gutta and Ashwini Ponnappa have been doing really well. In a country like India where cricket is given so much importance, exposure should always be given to other sports as well. There is no dearth of talent in a huge country like India. Badminton is the beginning in this aspect.

India is one of the most liberal countries of the word. The freedom enjoyed by individuals in India is seldom found in all countries. On the same lines, Indian journalists also have the freedom to report according to their own choice. But unfortunately, Indian media houses are largely being politically influenced these days, not allowing the actual news to reach the masses. On top of it, there is the grave problem of fake news and rumours which have proved to be devastating in recent times. Indian journalism has ceased to have any moral values in recent times, with an agenda driven purpose. Major Indian news channels are also politically inclined towards one party or the other.

Politicians seem to on a channel buying spree. Many political leaders seem to have their own news channel these days. And why not? These news channels are a perfect medium to showcase their power and promises during times of elections, mislead people about what what is happening in the country, and to attack the opposition parties. This phenomenon is largely ridiculous and illogical. Journalism is meant to convey the interests of the country and factual and genuine news to the general public, which it has been doing so since independence, but what is happening now is not acceptable. If one analyzes the scene, news channels like the NDTV are aligned towards the Congress, while hose like Times Now and the Republic are towards the BJP. Written media has also been not spared. Those like the Times Group are politically affiliated with the BJP while the Hindustan Times supports the Congress.

On what basis are we living in our own country if we don't have any access to genuine news? Journalists like Ravish Kumar have tried their best and have tried to broadcast as authentic news as possible. But sadly this is not the case throughout our country. With a vast country such as India and with such a mammoth population, influencing ignorant and illiterate people is quite easy. Indian Media has been doing this for years, and has lead to riots, unfair elections, and what not. How long is this going to continue?

The Situation : It’s a common heart break in the mornings for all who cannot recall the pleasant dreams they had the previous night . *inner feeling* I wish there was a machine to record that, it would have been the topic worth a discussion for the next few hours with my best friend.

The Solution : Well I guess the Japanese scientists have heard you and have invented a machine to interpret what you are dreaming about measuring your brain activity while you sleep and this data can then be plugged into an algorithm that reconstructs your dream so that it can be played for you when you are awake.

Oh wait! Then we could watch a 7hour long movie….yes!!(and if the movie is 10 hour long, Thug Life Bro!)

The Working : People were first asked to hook themselves up to an electroencephalography (EEG) machine, then to fall asleep within an fMRI machine. Scientists used the EEG readings to identify when the people began to enter a dreaming phase. Later, the scientists crunched this data and discovered that certain common types of objects from the subjects' dreams could be correlated with brain patterns as recorded by the fMRI scans. They then used an internet search engine to look for images that roughly matched the objects from the subjects' dreams, and entered all of this information into a learning algorithm that refined the model even further.

Again, the research is still in a rudimentary phase. So far these videos only represent crude approximations of the images from the subjects' dreams, but researchers claim that the machine’s predictions were still better than chance. Over time, the technology will improve as the algorithm learns.

The Arrival : So the machine is going to reach us whenever the algorithm doesn't give approximate but appropriate results.

Crop circles are large-scale flattening of crops (like wheat etc.) into interesting and peculiar designs. Though commonly believed to be man-made due to a number of confessions from crop circle hoaxers, they remain regular occurrences that are hard to explain.
Since becoming the focus of widespread media attention in the 1980's, crop circles have become the subject of speculation by various paranormal theories.

More likely formation mechanism of crop circles is some kind of "plasma vortex" which could display complex chaotic patterns and a lot of apparent intelligence. The mechanism of bending may be from a combination of microwave and electromagnetic fields.

There are several theories about how crop circles come about. Many are likely hoaxed by some rather ordinary means like ropes, boards. More recent sophisticated circles implies some extremely good survey and geometrical skills.
Physicists have suggested that the most complex formations might be made with the help of GPS and lasers.

Cereologists have suggested that crop circles are the result of extraordinary meteorological phenomena ranging from freak tornadoes to ball lightning, but there is no evidence of any crop circle being created by any of these causes.

Paranormally, some claim that they were created by bizarre meteorological phenomena to message extraterrestrial beings.

Some point to crop circles that they are created by intelligent species which uses various technologies and create them for their own amusement. Some even claim that crop circles are made by extra terrestrial space crafts when they land on the ground they are made due to prupulsion. The Syrian Civil war had way more complicated and undesired effects than we ever thought of, one of those is the displacement of the citizens to safer grounds on huge scales and their migration to other countries, precisely turning in to refugees. The economy of Syria has already been crippled completely and it's now no more than a battle field. But, this very refugee crisis is now a test to the humanity, let's see how good we are taking the test...

txt
rich_1528552854945

The Syrian crisis appropriately, the global refugee crisis is one the biggest we have ever seen. People left their own country and emigrate to other possible countries in search of better life. This very crisis began in the 2015 when Syria was experiencing a brutal civil war. The main destinations for emigrants were the neighbouring countries like Iran, Turkey, Jordan and so on...they themselves being a moderate economies couldn't cope up with the huge number of refugees and also the conditions continued to become worse as they finally gave up. Now, the emigrants started to look on to a new destination, Europe. Many refugees risked their lives travelling through waters in unsafe and overcrowded boats to get to these European countries and many of them have lost their lives in between. For all who somehow got there, it was never a warm welcome. The countries feared of economic destabilisation, security issues and many more as they refused to accept the refugees. But, things never slowed down, as the Civil war is at its peek in Syria, there came more and more refugees seeking the help of these countires. The countires, notably Germany, Greece, Italy and so on...started allowing the refugees after seeing their heart touching and emotional journeys to get here and the way they losing their lives, especially children who are a majority among the refugees. But, recently countries started to tighten their immigration laws and restrict the refugees each with their own versions of reasons. The thing that hurts the most is many political parties are going against the refugees and giving false impressions on them to the locals. If situation goes on this way, things would take very unusual turns and could lead to the most unexpected results.

The refugees are not the ones to fear for, it's the responsibility of nations as fellow beings to provide them a shelter. Both Marvel and DC have revolutionized the comic book industry since their inception. They have reached new highs in terms of financial success, popularity, fandom, etc. But each one is different in it's own way and their respective fans would vouch for it. Marvel Comics, owned by Marvel Entertainment, is headquarted in New York. They fist began operations in 1939 with the superheroes Human Torch and Namor. Military themed superheroes like Captain America were introduced during the Second World War which gained extreme popularity. Marvel has since continued over the years on a high note , with superheroes such as Spiderman, Iron Man, Hulk, Thor, etc. and with it's recent success in movies. DC comics on the other hand, is owned by DC Entertainment and was started in 1934. Their superheroes like Superman and Batman have gained immense fan following over the years.

DC has always had dark characters with huge superhuman capabilities, such as Superman, Wonder Woman, etc. On the other hand, Marvel's superheroes are more or less vulnerable, with their own man made powers or evolving powers. DC has had fictional cities like Gotham, Metropolis, etc. Marvel consists of real life cities like New York though. Marvel scores more on the popularity front though, as their superheroes are more relatable and according to polls, people would prefer to watch the 'friendly neighbourhood Spiderman' , rather than watching godlike superheroes fighting aliens. Still, the superheroes of DC score more on the individual popularity front. In terms of the recent films being made, Marvel wins by a huge margin. Most of the films of the MCU have been masterpieces, while the DC universe has failed with movies like the Man of Steel and Suicide Squad. There have been flashes of brilliance with movies like The Dark Knight series though, which were one of the best superhero movies ever made. Wonder Woman also lived upto expectations, but the other movies of the DC universe have failed to do so. DC started well earlier with Christopher Reeve's Superman, while Marvel didn't do that well at that time, but the tables have turned in the 21st century.

In terms of TV shows, DC wins hands down . With increasing popularity of shows like the Arrow, Flash, and Legends of Tomorrow, and past animated shows like Batman, and Justice League, Marvel stands nowhere in the league. Though they have improved with shows like Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. , it still has a long way to go to be on par with DC in this regard. Even in terms of video games, DC is the clear winner with the 'Arkham' series and many others, while Marvel has none. Taking everything into consideration, both Marvel and DC are different and unique in their own way, and hence both have their own set of fans. Both have contributed immensely to the entertainment industry since decades and will continue to do so in future as well.
