The principle of the college, Dr.R.S. Jahaghirdar <\/b>has a message to the students that \"The need of the hour is to root students firmly in enabling & constructive work ethics for their meaningful and blossoming career.\"<\/p>Dr. R.S. Jahaghirdar is a man of prescience and his efforts for the college had helped immensely in the phenomenal growth of our college, completing his graduation as a mechanical engineer from NIT- Jamshedpur as the topper of the college, he received his masters in designing in Pune university and finally the most prestigious Doctorate degree from NIT- Nanded. He also has an extraordinary  37 years of experience, 9 years of industrial experience, 28 years of experience in administration, 15+ years as a principal. He is the friend and guide of the students. We regard him as our Guru. Besides being a good teacher he is a good administrator. He has a great love for his college and students. He attracts us as a magnet attracts iron. All of us are always prepared to carry out his orders. And finally, I had a chance to interview our principal and made the most out of it.<\/p> Q. What do you think a good governing principal do? <\/b><\/p>A:<\/b> \"To develop the personality and determination and fulfill them with enthusiasm is really a challenge of college. My job is to empower students to acquire, demonstrate, articulate and value the knowledge and skills that will support them, as life-long learners, to participate in and contribute to the global markets.\"<\/p>Q. How do you counter crisis?<\/b><\/p>A:<\/b> \"Crisis is such a big word, what I feel is we take it as a challenge and then have a committee and brainstorm the possible measures to be taken and thus move forward in facing the challenge and resolving it. And we have amazing students who come up with ideas to counter any challenges and I'm proud to have the committees and student council.\"<\/p>Q. How does it feel when you hear the success stories of a graduate student of our college?<\/b><\/p>A: \"It really feels great to hear about the product of our college is out there doing what he loves and is successful. Who doesn't feel happy when their child is successful? at the end of the day, all I want is every student should get the job he loves. As the principal of the institution, I will do everything in my power to make that happen.\"<\/p>Q. What is your take on co-curricular and extracurricular activities for the 3d growth of students?<\/b><\/p>A: <\/b>\"I'm glad you asked this question, in our college, we support interests outside textbooks and laboratories. We have the student SWD- Student Welfare Department<\/b>, which in collaboration with the student council has various clubs such as Editorial, Cultural, Technical, Sports and Social Impact which helps students in their 3d growth.\"<\/p>Q. What do you think we can improve?<\/b><\/p>A:<\/b> \"College runs on the stakeholders- students, parents, faculty, management. It is the responsibility of every stakeholder to carry out their tasks on time so that we can do our job as a team more efficiently. And the majority are the students, the college runs on students, and we want them to be successful because the success of the student is a happy tale for us.\" <\/p> Q. What is the strategy you follow to maintain the general discipline in the campus?<\/b><\/p>A:<\/b> \"The world sails on discipline, and we are proud to say that our campus is ragging free campus, and we have a disciplinary committee to take care of issues concerned with discipline and report. The Anti-Ragging squad does their job and everything in under control.\" <\/p>Q. Where do you see KGRCET in the next 5 years?<\/b><\/p>A: \"The college is experiencing rapid growth, and in the next 5 years I want our college to join the list of elite colleges of Telangana. And I'm sure we will make it and I'm looking forward to that.\"<\/p>Q. What is the message you want to give to students?<\/b><\/p>A: <\/b>\"I am very happy to see all the students having good grades and getting placed in MNCs they dreamt of, the message I have for students is Learners never quit, and quitters never learn. And keep up the good work and work harder.\"<\/p> <\/p>He also shared many stories apart from the interview which was very informative and I learned a lot from this interview.
