What is so lovely about grandparents? I’d like to say that they give us unconditional love, kindness, patience, humor, comfort, lessons in life, and most importantly the delicious food.

I still remembered days, when they used to become a small kid with this kid, Nani preparing mouthwatering dishes for us. Sleeping in their lap listening Lories, compiling about my parents when they scold me, my maskanapan when I want something from them. My day wouldn’t complete without listening to a story from my grandma and my grandpa used to teach me slokas every morning. My grandma used to have a habit of watching serials and I used to watch movies and cartoons, we used to fight for the TV remote finally I used to give-up watching serials.

My grandparents are always happy about the little things. They used to celebrate every small achievement of mine. Whether I sing a song or win a prize in a competition that would be a miracle to them and will be so happy that, they used to call relatives and friends and speak about it.

Grandparents are the best company one could ever have, as they saw the entire life, they have much to speak and share about, they will have a solution to every problem of life, they’ll give a piece of better advice than a friend. My paternal grandma used to tell me about how my father used to be in his childhood and my maternal grandma about my mother. Through them, I come to know about some funny incidents and secrets of my parents, recalling them will generate fun in our home.

I used to spend much of my time with my paternal grandparents. Unfortunately, they died when I was in the 10th standard. I miss them a lot.

Coming to my maternal grandparents, I think I would be the most annoying and most loving among the grandchildren they had. I love taking snaps with filters and secret videos of them later on showing them to the whole family. My grandma is a kind of senti, so I used to argue now and then with her. They still scold me for teaching pubg to my mama and my cousins. Besides, they playing 24*7 they give blame on me for teaching them. After all, I spend the best time of my life with them.

Grandparents hold our hands for a little while but our hearts forever. Spend as much time as you can with them as you have to learn a lot for them. Their experiences will help you to lead your life happily and the fun you will have with them is unforgettable.
"}]

Chandrayaan 2 launch wasn't simple. There were a lot of glitches in the system and a lot of problems regarding its launch. On 12 Nov 2007, Cosmos(Russian Federal Space Agency) along with ISRO agreed to work together on Chandrayaan -2 launch where Rosmos was to work on the lander and ISRO on the rover and orbiter. This mission was reviewed by the Cabinet in 2008 by Manmohan Singh and approved it. Everything was finalised by ISRO as per the schedule but the mission got postponed in 2013 and rescheduled to 2016 as Cosmos failed to deliver the lander due to failure in Fobos Grunt(a sample mission attempted by the Russians to return to one the moons on Mars named Phobos). However, the agreed to deliver the lander by 2015 but eventually failed.

It was then, at that moment that ISRO decided to do everything on their own. They scheduled the launch to March 2018 but due to technical glitches and variation in the landing sequence, the launch was delayed.

It was postponed, again to February 2019, as the lander's legs got damaged. Then, the mission was set to launch on July 14, 2019, to 02:51 pm IST but was aborted due to technical issues. Finally, on 22 July 2019, at 02:43 pm IST, the mission was successfully launched. The estimated cost of the launch is said to be $141 million.

Grandparents are fun to be around. Not only do they spill pearls of wisdom but also fill our lives with abundance of love and care. The feeling of being around them cannot be described through words. The love and affection shed by grandparents is unmatched. Most grandparents share a special bond with their grandchildren.

If I could be like anybody, I would wish to become more like my grandfather, who has inspired me to strive for success, like the smell of old, dusty books which reminds me of his admiration on learning. An avid collector, he had many books, most of which went unread. He owned books on everything from medicine to Spain, to several sets of encyclopedias. They became just part of the scenery, collecting only dust and memories. I started reading books along with him and got addicted to it and this addiction is worth it.

He showed me how important life really is. My grandfather is just like my mentor. He is the one who is always there for me. No matter what happened in my life, he is always the one who looked beyond my faults. It seemed like no matter what I done; I is always a perfect little boy to him. My grandfather is great at many things. He loves shooting and have a great collection of guns, as we belong to a defense background, he became used to it and now he just can't live without it. I always used to follow him whatever he does, wherever he goes I just follow his trail, till date it's same, my dad always says you have all characteristics of your "DADA" (Grandfather), and I take it as a compliment. A person who taught you life, and if you are able to become like him, In my point of view you have achieved everything.
"}]
Today is the World Senior Citizen's Day! Well, they funnily claim to say... we are still youngsters! Truly agreed! Senior citizens are damn energetic and are superpowers of a family indeed... because; the comforts and happiness that we are enjoying today are the outcomes of all their immense efforts and hard work.

We are the very affectionate ones of our parents but are the stars of the eyes of our grandparents. We have heard our parents so many times say to their parents, rather complain; “you didn’t love us the way you love our children!” and I remember how my daadi used to support me when my father used to scold me… regarding my marks in the progress report. And her most favorite dialogue, “Do you know how naughty you were in your childhood” All these lovely moments we are able to enjoy only because we have the best set of people there for us.

txt
rich_1565591012599

The thought of going to Nani’s house during vacations is a pleasure for all of us irrespective of the age, I can say this very confidently. Even this was the means through which all family members used to gather on spent time all together. The immense spark of happiness on my Nana and Nani's face by seeing all of us at one place is really admirable and those fun-filled days, days full of happiness, enjoyment, unconditional love, free to be you and eat the best cooked special food with most loving hands were best I say.
My grandpa... #hero Shoban babu... the way how my grandma funnily addresses him! Haha... This funny and unconditional bond between them is really a great example of true happiness. I am the one who spent most of the time with my grandparent’s right from my childhood...and feel lucky about this.

One who is brought up by his or her parents and grandparents is strengthened doubly, by double the experience, double the love, twice the fun and two times the values and guidance they get. In this regard, I have got to learn many things from them... right from those stories which my grandpa used to tell... to those Quran lessons that my grandma used to teach... All were helpful to me in building a good character.

My biggest dream is to buy a pattu sari to my naani and daadi and a watch to my grandpa with my own earnings. And this was aimed by me right in my childhood… Hope this would definitely happen soon! I can do it!

txt
rich_1565591012600

Those days were pretty good and those memories were everlasting. But these days got busy due to academics… got busy with friends, phones, I-pads, and other schedules and not much spending time with them. Even they understand me! I surely say that this is even the same in the case of many. But irrespective of all these… we must also keep some time for our grandparents. It is because of them that we all have had a great childhood. It is because of them we have great moral values. They have taught us to love unconditionally, be patient, get up & try just once more when we thought it was impossible.

Our part of today would be making our senior citizens know how important they are. Making a meal together, avoid phone and reconnect with them. Do the household chores and talk with them and know their experiences which led them to their success and consider them because Senior citizens were once the nation’s youth. Let's not only hang out with our friends even hang out with our grand parents... It would be really fun I say...
"}]
Grandparents are positive role models and influencers. They are a support system to every family. Their lives revolve around their grandkids. They are experienced and knowledgeable. Think of the movies and television shows you have watched recently.did any of them featured older actors?what roles did they play?how were these older actors portrayed?

Many media portrayals of the elderly reflect negative attitudes towards aging.in north America society tends to glorify youth , associating with beauty and sexuality.in comedies, the elderly are often associated with grumpiness or hostility rarely do the roles of older people convey the fullness of life experienced by seniors- as employees, lovers,or the myriad roles they have in real life.what values does this reflect?

One hinderance to societiys fuller understanding of aging is that people rarely understand it until they reach old age themselves.

While the landmark of maturing into adulthood are a source of pride, signs of natural aging can be cause for shame or embarrassment.some people try to fight off the appearance of aging with cosmetic surgery . although many seniors report that their lives are more satisfying than ever, and their self esteem is stronger than when they were young, they are still subject to cultural attitudes that make them feel invisible and devalued.
"}]

India is now the worst place in the world to be a women? agree?
To be honest, It's a big "Yes". Our country has topped the list of most dangerous countries for women, not kidding!!
Then, during my school days we happily used to shout that "India is a democratic country! securalistic country". But now, there's one more word added to the book of India "Dangerous country".
Crime rate is rapidly increasing in our country. As we know, the most common crime against women are rape, sexual harassment, kidnapping, sexual assault and many more
I'll share my experiences with you. When the topic arised, one of my friend was like "No one disturbs a decent and well dressed girl". This answer really annoyed me.
I believe that attraction towards opposite sex is quite common and natural. But how can someone say that no one disturbs a well dressed girl? a perverted guy will act perversely anyway. All we have to do is educate them.
I chose this topic today just because being a women I've faced lots of problems during late night walks, teasing in my schools and colleges.
One complaint or punishment can't change the minds of the culprits. Every human should be guided. Education for the prevention is the only way which is surely gonna make India a clean-handed country.
Being a woman, how many of you are ready to walk alone at midnight? not so easy as you say, A girl in saree is being harassed and killed, girl in school dress, girl in jeans, sadly babies too. Do you now think it's really because the way we dress?
Who is gonna change our country?prime minister?chief minister?I don't think so.
It's neither of them, It's you and me who are responsible to educate ourselves first and educate the whole country. Facts, Tv shows are not going to change people. This topic should be added to every textbook of student since their childhood. At least this would change a pervert guy and his senseless thoughts.
All I want to convey is respect women and also protect them. We are not toys to be played and broken in the hands of men. We have dreams, families. Kill your senseless thoughts rather than killing us. Lets guide every Indian and make India from "Dangerous country" to " Non dangerous country". Salute to all the guys over there who respect women whole heartedly.

txt
My grandmother is quite an old lady. She has already crossed sixty. Her years have now bent her back a little but have not affected her activities. She is tall and thin. As a kid, I never missed a bed time story from my grandmother, Mrs.S.Bharathi Devi. Every story she told treasured morals, history and what not!. She is the person who shaped the house into a home, crafting every person in the family into a responsible citizen. The hurry rides to bus stop with grandpa, and singing songs while he was driving always gave me joy. He was someone who listened to my songs and always dreamt of me being a good performer. Every time I perform,on the stage, I remember the way his eyes sparkled . My grandfather, late Mr. Ramachandra Murthy will be missed in every moment of the family. His life is an inspiration to me. My maternal grandfather, Mr. Seshagiri Rao, a Registered Medical Practitioner (R. M. P) served many people in his career and gave his best in treating them with utmost medical care. He is a selfless person, who followed his profession passionately by not considering it only as a medium of making money. Mrs. Padmavathi, my grandmother is a living example of patience to me and my family. The way she tackles a situation is something I admire. She proves that knowing the life sciences are more important than the list of degrees behind one's name. They lived a simple and joyous life, where happiness and togetherness were prioritized.

The 21st of August is celebrated as the Senior Citizen's Day. It was proclaimed by the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) on 14th December,1990. The main idea behind celebrating this day is to acknowledge the contributions of our elders. The decision was also a slap in the face for all those who forgot the roots of their birth and find every opportunity to do elder abuse. Why are we talking about our grandparents? Why is it that a special day is being celebrated to remember them and acknowledging their importance? Isn't it our obligation? Aren't we the ones who are supposed to carry their legacy!
"}]
Having only known you by way of stories and letters, I have come to realize how beautiful of a family you have knitted together. You went to be with the Lord a little to soon for me to gain conscience of anyone's existence, and left a whole legacy behind for me to admire. But some days, when I listen to my peers' experience with their grandparents, I wonder how different of a world it would be for me to have you physically present here.

For starters, I know that I would've been a fatter kid and I would have had no problem with it.

I know that my evenings would be spent by your feet, whilst you busied yourself into weaving jasmines together, and narrating stories of old.

I know that you would have listened to me go on about my day as you voice out genuine concern.
I know you would have provided me a reassuring word when my doubt overwhelms me.

I know that you would have prayed for me every single day and taught me wonderful revelations of God.

But, you've sent many people along the way who have filled the gap of your presence in my life and have helped me pave ways in a path as callous as the one I'm on; who, by being disconnected by blood, were connected by love. I'm grateful for who you were and what you are. I will constantly aspire to be as resilient as you were. And when we meet someday, I hope you'll say, "Well done, my child."

"}]
