There is an unprecedented crisis going on in our country. Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and many other states are in a lockdown owing to the Covid-19 pandemic. The number of Covid-19 cases in India is about to reach 500. In times like this, it is our responsibility to make sure we are safe and our loved ones are safe. In times like this, it is also our responsibility to keep our work going on in whatever way possible, so that once the lockdown is over, we can resume our lives normally.

While the government closed colleges a week before announcing the lockdown, it is apparent that some teachers have decided to do beyond what is expected of them by taking online classes, ensuring students don't miss out on classes. This action by teachers of various colleges is highly commendable but I saw a post on social media, which includes several screenshots of one such online class and in that, the language that students are using and the way students are behaving is really pathetic and shameful.

If someone is striving hard to ensure your good, please don't troll the person and please don't use abusive language in the online classes. The surprising thing is, students are apparently going to the extent of using VPNs (I don't know what they are or how they work) to ensure they are not traced back and are using that to abuse and troll teachers in online classes.

The worst part is, such behaviour will demotivate the teachers and it will also affect the students who genuinely want to attend those online classes. We urge you to stop doing this. Please utilise your time properly and utilise these 'holidays' in a productive manner. Attend your online classes, enrol in more online courses, take up work-from-home internships. Join hands with each other (not literally) and ensure we come out of this crisis.
"}]
Mr. and Mrs. Murthy moment ago enjoyed a small vegetarian tea party with their son Aditya and his wife, Preethi along with fellow friends and relatives. Mrs. Murthy overheard the sons & daughter-in-law's conversation about Finding a proper and decent old age home. In a hurry, she discloses to Mr. Murthy that finally, the time has come to leave this house and live separately from their children. He said, Nirmala let me talk to them, we still can figure out what happened all of sudden that they took this decision. An expected typical teacher in an English literature Nirmala said, no space for conservation now and follow my instructions in finding a better old age group.

They drive into the car, to look at the furniture and procedures of activities in an old age-group personally, between Mr. Murthy said we don't have to do this anymore to search a new place to live and adapt to the new environment at least for my physical therapy accommodation into the new system again is difficult let me speak to our son.

Nirmala with a dull voice replied I'm no way listening to you, lock the car properly and carry the bag along with you. They finally reached the 'Nandhavanam -old age home with luxurious amenities in all the rooms such as pantry area, separate dressing room area, air conditions, fully equipped latest technology kitchen with spacious dining room, with rooftop 85kw solar panels, spacious bathroom, etc. And of course, the whole building is wifi enabled. Penguins (order Sphenisciformes, family Spheniscidae) are a group of aquatic flightless birds. They live almost exclusively in the Southern Hemisphere, with only one species, the Galápagos penguin, found north of the equator. Highly adapted for life in the water, penguins have countershaded dark and white plumage and flippers for swimming. Most penguins feed on krill, fish, squid and other forms of sea life which they catch while swimming underwater. They spend roughly half of their lives on land and the other half in the sea. Although almost all penguin species are native to the Southern Hemisphere, they are not found only in cold climates, such as Antarctica. In fact, only a few species of penguin live so far south. Several species are found in the temperate zone, but one species, the Galápagos penguin, lives near the equator. The largest living species is the emperor penguin (Aptenodytes forsteri):on average, adults are about 1.1 m (3 ft 7 in) tall and weigh 35 kg (77 lb). The smallest penguin species is the little blue penguin (Eudyptula minor), also known as the fairy penguin, which stands around 33 cm (13 in) tall and weighs 1 kg (2.2 lb). Among extant penguins, larger penguins inhabit colder regions, while smaller penguins are generally found in temperate or even tropical climates. Some prehistoric species attained enormous sizes, becoming as tall or as heavy as an adult human. These were not restricted to Antarctic regions; on the contrary, subantarctic regions harboured high diversity, and at least one giant penguin occurred in a region around 2,000 km south of the equator 35 mya, in a climate decidedly warmer than today.

txt
rich_1584963465617

Etymology : The word penguin first appears in the 16th century as a synonym for great auk. When European explorers discovered what the is today known as penguins in the Southern Hemisphere, they noticed their similar appearance to the great auk of the Northern Hemisphere, and named them after this bird, although they are not closely related.

Penguins and humans : Penguins have no special fear of humans, and will often approach groups of people. This is probably because penguins have no land predators in Antarctica or the nearby offshore islands. Dogs preyed upon penguins while they were allowed in Antarctica during the age of early human exploration as sled dogs, but dogs have long since been banned from Antarctica. Instead, adult penguins are at risk at sea from predators such as sharks, orcas, and leopard seals. Typically, penguins do not approach closer than around 9 feet (3 meters), at which point they appear to become nervous.[citation needed]In June 2011, an Emperor penguin came ashore on New Zealand's Peka Peka Beach, 3200 km off course on its journey to Antarctica. Nicknamed Happy Feet, after the movie of the same name, it was suffering from heat exhaustion and had to undergo a number of operations to remove objects like driftwood and sand from its stomach. Happy Feet was a media sensation, with extensive coverage on TV and the web, including a live stream that had thousands of views and a visit from English actor Stephen Fry. Once he had recovered, Happy Feet was released back into the water south of New Zealand.

This journey of life is not a cakewalk for sure, we are put into so many rough times and glitch. Just when you think you've crossed one hurdle and barely take a breath, another one pops out. Every single day we fight so many demons within ourselves, unspoken and unheard, yet we fulfill our responsibilities leaving them all behind. Pat your back for that. Every little thing you thought you cannot, but you did it and how! Your healing yourself everytime you bury your fears. BE PROUD of what you've come through. Sometimes, you might feel you are unimportant and unworthy, it's normal, at some point every person feels that way, but believe me you are far more exemplary, powerful and paramount than you think. It's all in the mind. Every individual has some spark of flair that they are top-notch at. All you need to know is where your interest, your fondest passion lies at and then make a choice accordingly. When you firmly believe that you can accomplish something and burn the midnight oil to get through it, nothing in this goddamn universe can stop you from reaching your goal. What matters the most is, how you see yourself and not how people would want you to be. When life throws lemons at you real hard, make a lemonade and relish it. Public Speaking is the art of giving power to words- to influence, inspire and transform lives.

You can speak well if your tongue can deliver the message of your heart. When I sat down and started exploring my talents, the first one that I could think of was my public speaking skill. I've got a lot of appreciation for the same from my peers, friends, and faculty. I'm grateful that I've got good oratory skills that play an important role in career advancement by boosting up confidence that inculcates critical thinking, helps in expanding our professional network as well as in building leadership skills and also benefits us to get rid of the fear of impromptu speaking.

Words have power, words are power and words could be your power!!

txt

The University of Hyderabad has decided to keep its hostels open with limited facilities for students from outside Telangana who are stranded because of the spate of lockdowns announced across the country. Students whose homes are in Telangana have been asked to vacate the hostels latest by tomorrow afternoon. As previously announced, the University has suspended all academic and related activities until April 6.

Compassionately reconsidering its previous order asking students to vacate the hostels, the University administration also noted the nationwide disruptions to the transport networks in announcing its decision amidst a rapidly changing situation with regard to the spread of Covid-19 in the country. However, taking into consideration the welfare of the students whose homes are far away from Hyderabad as well as that of the service staff in the University, the hostels will be run with common and basic mess facilities with skeletal staff, and the campus Health Centre will cater only to emergency medical services.

The University declared that, in light of the provisions of The Epidemic Diseases Act 1897 invoked by the State Government of Telangana for prevention and control of the Covid-19 pandemic, students who wish to remain on campus will be permitted to do so after signing an Undertaking, taking responsibility for their decision and agreeing to adhere to all safety measures advocated by the state/university authorities. Those students who have already left the campus will not be permitted to come back until the situation returns to normal, as directed by the State government and the university advisory.

The University urged all those students continuing on the campus to strictly adhere to certain guidelines, including: maintenance of ‘social distance’ norms, curtailing movement outside the campus, not entertaining unauthorized persons in their rooms, not ordering food from delivery platforms, and compliance of any orders issued by the authorities from time to time towards efforts to control the spread of the virus.
"}]

Many see Bhagat Singh as a revolutionary who killed a British officer and was later executed for it; and many don't know anything beyond that but there's a lot more to the legendary man. He accomplished nation-wide fame and influence and more when he was less than 23 years old, having started off when he was just a teenager. He was hanged, on March 23, 1931.

In his own words, "Bombs and pistols do not make a revolution. The sword of revolution is sharpened by ideas" and that is exactly what he did when he was enrolled as an undergraduate in National College, Lahore. Having been a voracious reader, he started writing extensively on the problems in Punjab, winning several essay writing competitions. His involvement in extra-curricular activities like being involved in the drama club of the college and he utilised that as a platform for spreading the message that he wanted to.

Not many know that he was a brilliant writer and he used his writing skills to publish the views of he and his fellow revolutionaries; publishing his works in several Urdu and Punjabi newspapers of that time. The freedom struggle and the political struggle apart, Bhagat is the finest example of what a student can achieve if he/she sets his/her mind onto the task completely and also to show how influential activities in college can be.

Bhagat, in his short life, was wiser than many men twice or more than two times his age. For insight on his thought process, one only needs to go through his journal, where he penned thoughts about religion, his political beliefs and the dangers of cult of personalities and dynasty politics becoming prominent in India, citing a French philosopher, who, much like him, ran afoul of the law.

The British feared his immense popularity and the respect he commanded, so much so that they preponed his hanging by 11 hours and cremated him in the dead of the night, and even that could not stop him from becoming a legend in pre Independence India, giving rise to anger against the Empire and becoming one of the major reasons we today are free from the clutches of monarchy.

The reason for highlighting his political beliefs is that, today, the appropriation of Bhagat Singh by the same people who once detested him is an insult to his legacy, which is why it is a must for every student to read his journal, because if nothing else, you will gain access to the mind of one of India's greatest sons.
"}]
College: Oh my god college, this was the most fascinating term we heard as a kid because we had made up our minds that growing up is going to be the best thing ever and we can enjoy our lives without any restrictions. But as they say fame comes with a price and sometimes we get so lost in the glitter around us and don't realise that this is going to ruin as at some point of time. We grew up and came to the land of our dreams - "OUR COLLEGE" something we had waited for our whole life. But little did that innocent 12 year old kid know that childhood was the best part of our life. After coming to college the only thing we all learnt was that we should've enjoyed our childhood more because it was way better than our teenage. In childhood we were carefree and never cared about what everyone else thought, but now things are so different everybody judges you from head to toe. It's really easy to say that we shouldn't pay any heed to such people but deep down everyone is hurt some express it while the others choose to remain silent. We don't share our problems with our parents thinking it's going to affect them. We try to battle so many problems but always manage to do them with a wide smile. College is definitely a roller coaster ride some ups and some downs but the only thing we will remember is the number of memories this phase has given us be it good or bad. So instead of trying to be perfect try to be yourself and find your happiness within you. Life is too short to take so many tensions so live happily without caring about anyone's opinions.
