The Dhabas have always been the place to look up for: Be it when you are out for a long drive, or when the family decides to go on a long-awaited picnic, or when you move out in a new city. It's always on your wish list to check out all the hottest Dhabas across your city and taste the best of the Desi Cuisines that they offer.

But what makes you skip all the sophisticated food outlets and opt for a Desi Dhaba? Well, the reasons are many and it's always worth it to go for it whenever you have it.

1) Welcoming ambiance

The best incentive that the Dhabas offer and what really makes them so special is the homely ambiance that they offer. Out under the sky, on a Charpai, you get to witness the very Indian essence of life. You can go along and chill wherever you want to and no one bats an eye. All the services are open for you to enjoy.

2) Saves your pocket

For us Indians, money is always a prime concern amidst the outing plannings that we do. And as simple of an option it may seem, Dhabas are always ahead in saving your money and yet, not compromising on the taste of the food. So you get to enjoy the perfect taste that you look for and that too at a budget-friendly cost.

3) Friendly service

There will always be a 'Chotu' at you service whenever you visit a Dhaba and as assigned, it's his duty to make you feel comfortable around the place. Needless to say, that makes your life a lot easier. Also, the in-charge takes care of each of the customers with equal attention and you never miss the hospitality of any other restaurant.

4) Open interaction with others

More often than not, you will find some or the function celebrated in the Dhaba and since the people do not bother to have any reservations in their minds, it's always at hand to strike a smooth conversation and be one of them. That's when you feel like home where there are no barriers between you and the people around you.

5) Available 24x7

Take any of the odd hours of the day and you'll find at least one Dhaba open at that point of time. And with the number of delicacies open to being offered, you are never cut out from good food anytime. Served at its best, you can always ask for more of the add-ons in your dish and it provides without any question.

And thus, the love for Dhabas never die. Anyday, anytime, they always beat the likes of any other 5-star hotel with its delicious food and comfortable atmosphere. Do let us know what were your favorite experiences of the Dhaba and grow more of the family.

We find many types of students in our college life....everyone carries their own attitude and a persona which describes about themselves.....

Of them we have the toppers who always prefer to occupy first benches and are very keen in listening to each and every lecture , such pupils never miss a single class and their concentration in the class is high at anyime of the day ......

Again in this toppers group their exists two types of pupils

1: who pretend to concentrate in the class but just mug up the whole session .

2: who actually can concentrate the whole day and actually have a great memory power .

The another group is a midway group who concentrate well in the classrooms but sometimes feel boredom and bunk the classes in order to relax their minds and refresh themselves..

Here comes the third group which iam related with and its #THE BACKBENCHERS

BACKBENCHERS ARE ALWAYS MOST INTERESTING AND INTROVERT TYPE OF PEOPLE.....i am saying this because i happen to be a backbencher and i undoubtedly will miss the chamber for the whole life....because it was and it is the best place where i can spend my whole day .....

even being a girl i never wanted to sit in front row as that would make me feel like a robot....THE FREEDOM OF BACKBENCHERS IS KNOWN TO THEMSELVES ONLY...PEOPLE THINK THAT THE BACKBENCHERS DO NOT STUDY....BUT THATS A MYTH , BACKBENCHERS HAVE A VERY CREATIVE AND AN ENERGETIC MIND ....THEY LIVE IN THEIR OWN WORLD..

One of the best things of CBIT is easily the plethora of options you have when deciding which activity/club to get involved with. They all try equally hard to woo freshers and increase their reach, so here's a cheat sheet to help freshers decide which ones they want to join.

1. Communicando

One of the biggest clubs in CBIT, they are the literature club and host the biggest literary event every year; 'Literati'. Communicando is a powerful group which hosts events throughout the year and pitches new ideas to the college admins. Those who are good with communication and can handle responsibility will shine in this club. The only downsides might be that those who are interested only in pursuing writing or other purely literary activities will find that this club is more about the admin work around it.

2. CBIT MUN

This is one of the most well-known clubs- not only in the college, but in all of Hyderabad. The CBIT-MUN hosted every is one of the most sought-after MUNS and is usually held in a swanky hotel with hundreds of students attending, as delegates or otherwise. The standards of this club are quite high and you'll need to be an effective communicator, a convincing speaker and also have an extensive knowledge of the events of the world. Those who think current events aren't their cup of tea can still be in the MUN club as part of the Organising Committee, Publicity Team, etc. Be warned though; being part of the CBIT MUN club takes up a lot of your time.

3. Street Cause

This club is all about community service and social service. They have a lot of events spread over the year that focus on helping out in less privileged areas and spreading awareness. Their biggest event happens every year for a whole week called 'Impact Week', during which they visit a village or town that needs help and set up a medical camp, teaching courses, etc. It is perfect for those who are compassionate and want to give back to society. The only drawback is that they require you to go around collecting funds every week or so, which is a huge pain.

4. Transcendent and Celeritas

Transcendent is the college newspaper and the Celeritas is the college magazines. They are both entirely run by students only; everything from the writing to the designing and printing. The Transcendent team is a tight-knit team that brainstorms together, decides what pieces to go with, allots them to writers and edits the final version. The design team then puts it together and sends it to be printed. The Celeritas team accepts all kinds of writing, from musings and opinion pieces to poetry, jokes and short stories. They even accept photography submissions and drawings. Those interested in serious writing or design will have a great time with these clubs. The downside is that sometimes work can get hectic with deadlines and pressure.

This is the cultural club of CBIT and handles all the cultural events like singing, dancing, painting, etc. They are responsible for the college fest, 'Shruti' and handle everything from the decoration and events to management and sponsorship. Those with an artistic flair and a love for the finer things in life will love it here at this club. Those who do decide to get in this club might be asked to stay long hours after college though, during busy times.

The college teams of different sports announce tryouts at different times, so you'll have to keep your eyes open for this. You'll be required to come for practices for a couple of weeks, after which it will be decided if you make it to the college team. Being part of a sports team is the best thing ever and you can read more about the advantages that come with it here. The drawbacks are that it takes up a lot of your time and you might be required to stay back after classes for practice.

Practical skills are very important and it could be argued that they are as important as academic qualifications when it comes to getting a job. Nevertheless, it is unlikely that academic qualifications will ever become unnecessary. There are certain manual jobs such as cleaning and labouring where formal qualifications are less important. Employers in these industries are more likely to employ people with a good working knowledge of the job and what it entails. However, even in these jobs it is important for people to have a minimum level of education, especially if they want to rise above the lowest working level.

How can a person without good writing and mathematical skills balance a budget or manage staff?

How can such a person make informed decisions about which products to use or safety issues in the workplace?

Having said this, a student graduating from university with the highest level of qualifications, but limited practical skills, still has a great deal to learn. None of us would expect or want a doctor without many years of practical experience and training to perform an essential operation. Students from all disciplines need to understand that entering the job market with a degree in management, for example, does not automatically qualify them for a managerial role.Clearly, education is important in teaching the theoretical side of any profession.

This theoretical knowledge forms an important basis for practical skills which are also essential. In truth neither one nor the other is dispensable when it comes to getting a good job.

Engineering is "the thing" today. Millions of people get into engineering not knowing what they're gonna do for the next four years of their life. They do it just because they have to. I have asked loads of my friends why they want to pursue engineering. The most recurring answer I got back is, "What else can I do?"

You can do loads of other things. We are living in the greatest era. The amount of opportunities we have are literally endless. Everyone has a passion. Everyone has something they wish they did every single day. For me it is cooking.

txt
rich_1495539805777

In a time where there are more engineering students than there are jobs, I think it's time people paid attention to the lesser taken streams out there. Hotel management and hospitality is one of them. This field has been frowned upon for the better part of a generation. This was evident with my own family. When I first pitched the idea of becoming a chef to my grandparents, they said, "A chef? Isn't that the same as running a catering service?" And I don't really blame them. The hospitality industry isn't just about cooking, as misconstrued by most people. It is about people. It is about interacting with loads of people. So if you love meeting and talking to new people, think about joining the industry. There are tons of career prospects. You can be a chef, you can manage the front office of a hotel, you can be a bartender and so much more. And the service sector needs more people. There are enough people working in air-conditioned cubicles in front of a computer. There aren't enough skilled people pouring your drinks at a restaurant.

I did compete in a few competitions before realising that I wanted to do my own thing and not compete. I've been happier since" she laughs, "that being said, I love performing and showcasing my art. It is truly liberating, and as a young person today, it is important for one to liberate themselves and do what they are good at."

We conclude our interview with one final question, asking the young artist where she sees herself 5 years down the line. She smiles before replying, "I have a vision of becoming some mad mystic or travel the world and then write books about the places I visit about all my experiences, for me and for the world."

Time and again, various surveys popped up by various firms on students' employability and there were a lot of instances when students' mediocrity and lack of employable skills were portrayed as a mistake of the students and not of the system as a whole. But Mentor Mind, a venture started by three youngsters in Hyderabad aims to address this very problem and increase the overall employability of fresh graduates, in a very unique way.
Started by three engineering grads and alumni of the prestigious organisation AIESEC, Luvieen Alva, Megha Gajjala and Suhas Kaul, Mentor Mind aims to bridge the gap between students and employees by providing students with an opportunity to work on live projects, hand-picked by the employers. Their personal experiences in AIESEC and their experiences in engineering colleges was what motivated them to start this.
"It was in 2014 that we wanted to start something related to education, and having studied engineering, all of us knew very well how the education system puts very insignificant amount of focus on practical knowledge. And having gone through the torture of studying a course we had absolutely no interest in and what eventually gave us close to zero skills to do what we do today, helping young students learn beyond our one-dimensional education system," explains Suhas, talking about how they started it.
The result, is an online platform where students & young professionals can access and work on real-time work situations in the form of challenges. These challenges are procured in collaboration with organisations from various industrial and functional backgrounds. "These challenges are also heavily gamified, to motivate students further and are in a wide range of fields ranging from writing, to marketing, to technical challenges," says Suhas.
Another known issue that this team is working towards solving is the issue of ready-made projects being sold to students at various institutions in areas like Ameerpet. "A lot of students buy projects, without having any knowledge or any resources and we are working towards giving them projects where they'll actually work in a proper work scenario and get certified by companies, only based on their work. We also have mentors who constantly guide the students and teach them in an experiential way," he says, adding, "While students can submit our challenges as their final year project, it's not just restricted to that. Students can choose from a wide array of options, even if it has got nothing to do with their field of study. For instance, an engineering student can complete a challenge in writing or design or whatever he/she wishes too, and this will add the much needed boost to their resume if they choose to pursue a career later in that field."
To make it more foolproof, they also have an evaluation criteria and certification is issued only after students submit the proper documentation and fulfil all the evaluation criteria.
