“Team work makes the Dream work” is as right as it is so often said. By definition team is group of individuals’ working together for a goal, task or anything. Teams are formed when a group of people come together to complete a mission or task in unity. Teams are a very efficient way of accomplishing works because even if it’s a team of four to five people, it’s like 5 brains working and when that happens, there comes by many ideas, suggestions to enhance the work making it successful. Not to forget that conflicts and arguments are also a part of a team and is also constructive if it’s about doing the task in the best way possible on the other hand if they don’t then it leads to the downfall of that team. Now let’s see it from the business point of view. There are different kinds of teams such as the marketing team, it team etc... Now here it’s a group of employees working under one department such as the it and sales. Groups develop into teams in four stages. The four stages are: dependency and inclusion, counter dependency and fighting, trust and structure, and work. As each team goes through this process, they become challenging, successful and strong. When people are working together as team it may not be necessary that they are all seated at one conference hall, in fact many teams are separated by cities to even countries. Such teams have huge responsibilities which they fulfill despite the time zone differences. A team’s performance enhanced by rapidly testing and developing methods that work for each team member, despite personality differences, skill sets, and critical thinking skills. Towards the end, as we understand the benefits of teams and their work, a successful team arises with trust and hard work and where a good team if formed when it’ members are rightly chosen and assigned.

txt

As every student dream of entering a college, it’s just not about earning an undergraduate degree but about experiencing the college life. It involves doing loads of fun when a professor is giving his/her lecture, skipping classes to enjoy roaming around the college and late-night studies for next day exams, it’s definitely one of the most important experiences of life. My college experience was so far really amazing, though it didn’t involve any bunking of classes as me and my 4 other friends promised on No Bunk Policy throughout the four years and it’s been a year and quarter and we have been adhering to this policy despite all other people telling us that you guys aren’t in college if you aren’t bunking and some people calling us nerds and class toppers while others shrug and sigh, and some people make us think we are still kids scared of skipping classes but we dump aside all that cause we do all that fun in the class itself while the professor is teaching, we start humming to songs and when one of is dosing off we irritate and wake them up because it’s important to listen to what’s being taught and as ironical as it sounds we don’t listen to it but when the professor catches us, we all become dead serious and pay attention. So while we do all of this we don’t find a reason to skip and we get the attendance and we have our fun. Exam time being one of the exhausting periods where we give our blood, sweat and tears to get the perfect result and make our parents proud. College life gives you an experience to deal with different kind of situations, deadlines and in the process of all this we are growing up to be mature people who are ready to tackle any kind of life hurdle that comes our way.

txt
Ever since I was in school I've heard people talk about how college life was going to be a bed of roses and how I am going to have the time of my life while I live it. Now, being a college student myself, I only partially agree with it. Though not as merry as a bed of roses, it's still done a fair amount of 'good' to me.

2 years of college life hasn't been an easy path to walk on. I don't remember being particularly excited about entering into this new phase of my life since I felt I didn't belong here. I was worried that I would have a non-existent social life and an uninterested brain for as long as I was going to be here.

The very first semester proved to be an outcast from this negative-thought-spiral. I met some amazing people who I still hold extremely close! This place has taught me to keep a count on my blessings and my lessons- equally. I did well academically and my self-esteem started to greet me better. I started having a positive feeling about coming here.

Through the following two semesters, I'd had bad friendships, heated arguments with our faculty, I'd heard terrible news- all followed by mandatory emotional roller coasters; yet this place has managed to mark a significant place in my life. They say it right when they say that life puts you through certain things only so you can learn and rise bright-up, again! I failed at my academics and lazed around all day long. A special mention to the Nescafe coffee outlet at our college that helped me swim through it all with tonnes of black coffee and to the friends who never left my side then.

Now, since the last six months, I have been the happiest one can ever be, both academically and emotionally- college playing the major part. This place has taught me that things will always remain impermanent and that I might or might not be happy/sad all the time. It's never fully black or fully white! In any situation that can arise in the two years left or anytime further in life, I can only rely upon the lesson of 'time' that this place has taught me and cherish the privileges that it's showered me with.

To the place that's helped me explore my interests better: with a lot more clarity than I had before coming here, I guess I can now put across my plans and thoughts more articulately and accept the good and the bad- both, in life.

College life is indeed more than just a random degree. It could quite literally help you with things like nothing's ever helped you before.

ART is freedom. Every artist dips his brush in his soul and paints his own nature. Sachin Jacob Abraham, an artist and a student of M.G.I.T says ,art is a way of life which helps him calm down. He draws when he is happy, he draws when he is sad, he draws whenever things fall apart, in short art is his medium of expression. From sketching since his middle school to taking it up a notch when he was in his Intermediate,he remembers the time he was stuck in a room for thirteen days after he caught Chicken Pox, and it was then he figured out that ART is always going to be there and started self-training in different forms of art. There is something very interesting about Sachin. He is colour blind to Red and Green, unless the colours are bright enough,he can't differentiate them. Sachin is also an active member of Art Club M.G.I.T which is synonymous to creativity. As an artist he has participated in different competitions and is also being wonderful in his academics

Art comforts him and the time just flows when he is with a piece of paper and few colours . He says ,take a step back away from the chaotic world, sketch and work things out!ART according to him is something you do and go with the flow.Every mistake is a new creation!

In a time when social media is mostly filled with hate and unsolicited opinions, musicians filling it with their soul-stirring renditions of our favorite songs make scrolling through social media a treat. In fact, many are even getting opportunities through their actions on social media and one such musician is Gautam Raj, a Hyderabad based violinist. An engineering graduate and a banker by profession, Gautam has been posting videos on Facebook for two years now and his skill was noticed and he played in films like RX 100, Sita on The Road in addition to working in the entire background score of an upcoming film - Seven.

For him, his vocalist father was the first inspiration and having grown up surrounded by music, he picked up the violin when he was 15, as he says, “I wanted to learn music and seeing my father and a cousin of mine who is a pianist, I wanted to learn piano but when I realised there’s only a violin school near my place, I started learning that.”

txt
rich_1564839750036

Under the tutelage of the eminent violinist Ashok Gurujale, he spent the the next few years balancing studies with consistent violin practice. “I started learning carnatic music in 2005 and I spent the next five years practising for a minimum of four hours a day. I spent so much time with my guru that there’s a lot of his style in my playing. Meanwhile I finished my B.Tech and did MBA. All throughout, there was constant jamming or practice, in various different forms of music” explains the violinist who also performed for many short films.

This constant jamming is what got him interested in fusion, something that is seen in all of the videos made by his band Nakshatra. “I wanted to make a lot of fusion music, replacing the vocals with my violin, backed up by guitars and percussions. I experimented with a lot of bands but it didn’t sync. Last year, a bunch of musicians from the city did a musical flash mob at a mall and that was when I met Akshay Beri and Aveek Barman. Then we decided to form Nakshatra,” explains Gautam, adding, “We started jamming together and a few months later, in March this year, we won the Battle of Bands contest conducted by a radio channel here.” In addition to this, the band has also performed over 400 shows in the last two years.

Gautam, whose cover of Inkem Inkem Kavale got more than a lakh views on YouTube, says he didn’t expect opportunities through Facebook. “I love playing by-the-ear, as in I just listen to the song a few times and play it without looking up the notes or anything. I used to post violin covers of my favorite songs, recorded in my room but thankfully, they got noticed by the right people and I even got an opportunity to play at a TEDx event,” he says. He is now waiting for the release of a couple of more films that he worked on.

His message to students who are interested in music is simple. “Consistent practice with discipline is crucial, so is experimenting with different genres like Hindustani, Western, etc. Try to make your own compositions,” is what Gautam says to students.
"}]

My B-Tech journey started exactly 2 years ago from today, I was eager to see my college and, I had many expectations from it too, soon I came to know that colleges in the movie and real-life are not at all same and at this moment I was in the middle of my first semester. My shoulders were laden with books and notebooks. I was socked from foundry lab and workshop. I completed all assignment on time and regular exams and tests made my life hell. Sometimes I didn't have time to take a breath. Professors felt like giving there both kidney to us if we wanted full marks in any question. And this was heartbreaking. This change was quite indigestible for me, somehow I managed to score good marks in my first-semester end examination. And that was the only semester I scored well, Soon I got habituated to the schedule and this lifestyle, same thing kept on repeating every semester, until I got a backlog which struck me like a stone, like every Indian parent my dad gave me an ultimatum get rid of this backlog if you want your mobile to be with you, or else you know what’s going happen. So it was a do or die situation for me, I managed to do instead of dying. I was never a topper or nerd in my whole schooling and when I heard people talking I scored 8.9 or 9.2 I just used to say “are you a bot” how do you even do it ? do you even live your life? I just had many silly questions which were never answered, and B-Tech is just an advanced version of school, I never found any difference, same discipline, same taunts, same ID card issues, we don’t have uniform but we have to wear formals that’s just a multicolored version of uniform, I still get scolded for stylish haircuts and beards, if you don’t follow all this you are doomed because you will lose marks in labs and assignments. Sometimes you need to be yourself instead of representing like how people want you to be, and that is not possible in any B-tech college for sure. Slowly I started to lose interest in classes and was more interested in bunking. And this addiction is more dangerous than any other drug addiction, I started to come college late on a daily basis, I felt like I have achieved this privilege, every day Mr. P.T or P.T teacher asks to wear ID cards as soon as we enter the campus, and I never understood why does he even do that, like why would I go to some other college, and that too in the morning why will I take so much pain, just see a “B-TECH college. Now as being a senior I enjoy some privileges like I can go in and out of college whenever I want, I see students struggling hard to get out of college at the main gate, and I simply walk out like a pro. Still, I struggle in labs and classes that’s an obvious thing and will remain until I graduate, one year to go I hope it would be smooth. And that’s my story “First sem to the Fifth sem”

What human quality do we need more of and why?

Before I start expressing my views on it, I want to put the same question to you guys. Just think about it for a minute. Did you!!! and now what's the first quality that struck your mind?

I asked the same question to some of my friends, relatives, neighbors and so on...and I have received a different set of qualities from each one of them they were like being optimistic, hardworking, loyalty, sincerity and so on..The answers which they gave reflects their attitude. So according to me, attitude is the most important thing a human should possess. Attitude refers to what a person thinks about his/her surroundings and how he/she interacts with it. Attitude is more important than the past than the facts than the education than the money, than the circumstances, than the failures and also the success. We cannot change our past, can we!! we cannot change the facts, we cannot change the inevitable but the only thing we can do is to play on the strings we have and that is our attitude. Our attitude is a weapon for building relationships. Simply said you receive the energy you give, and also, for example, you can only argue when you have people to argue with. So your talent, no doubted your talent can take you there but there's always a but in between, you know!! but it's your attitude which keeps you there. I'm convinced that 10% of life is what happens to me and 90% is how I react to it, as so it s with you!! So we all are in charge of our attitudes. In short, attitude is like a magnet, if you possess a positive attitude all positive things attract your life and if u have a bad attitude all negatives will attract your life. So it is you who decides what you want and could change accordingly. We have a saying people laugh at me because I'm different and I laugh because all of them are the same..that is the attitude. Attitude is like a price tag which decides how valuable you are, it can make or break a home, a company, a relationship and whatever it may be. So last but not least, gratitude is the attitude that gives us the fortitude to face the toughest challenges in our lives.
"}]
