He is the youngest Indian to debut in T20 cricket. This 19-year-old is from Roorkee, Uttarakhand whose career changed after his performance at the under 19 world cup in 2016. As somewhat of a book purist, a term that is used to describe someone who prefers buying and reading physical books instead of reading soft copies on portable devices, I did not exactly go into reviewing the Kindle by Amazon without a bias. However, the my experience using the Kindle has been so good, I'm happy to report that I've had some retrospection and changed my opinion on the device.

This review covers all 4 types of Kindles available on Amazon (and only on Amazon, since it's an in house property), so without further ado, lets get right into it.

Right off the bat, the Pros and cons are divided between each SKU of the Kindle, which I will list one by one for the sake of convenience so it's easier to track and read, starting with the budget Kindle.

The Budget Kindle

This one is a personal favourite really, considering it's size, price and the advantages it gives. This was the first Kindle I tested and like the saying goes, first impression is the best impression. If you're looking for a budget e-reader, the Budget Kindle is the best in business and cheap. A touch screen device with WiFi capabilities (to download books) and as screen resolution of 167ppi, this is an excellent option on a tight budget

Pros:

1. Excellent battery life, lasts a week after a full charge, two if you're not a heavy reader.

2. Lightweight, easy to carry around, fits your jeans pocket

3. Sturdy. It is a well built piece of hardware.

Cons:

1. Does not have backlight

2. Resolution might be a problem to people used to higher resolution displays.

The Paperweight does pay the price for it's extra features with reduced battery life, but it will still last you an entire week on heavy usage, so the trade off is not exactly a problem. The 300 ppi screen of the Paperwhite made me quite happy, as the higher resolution means crispier text which is quite pleasing to read. If anything, one of the disadvantages would be it being slightly heavier than the budget variant.
Pros
1. Higher resolution is a boon
2. It does, however, have page turn buttons on the side so you don't actually have to touch the screen to flip the pages, even though it is a touch screen.
Pros
1. The latest available data on student suicides comes from the National Crime Records Bureau in 2015: every one hour, a student ends his life. The factors may be various, but the time ticks like clockwork, and every one hour, a future with infinite possibilities is snuffed out because of various reasons. In 2015 alone, the number of student suicides stood at 8937, and in the half decade from 2010 to 2015, 39775 students took their own lives. Needless to say, this has to be stopped.

I'm not going to tell you to deal with your issues and move on, I'm not going to tell you that your depression is going to take care of itself and go away. What I'm going to tell you, however, is that if you're feeling at the edge and the only way you think you can get out of that situation is down, you aren't the only ones who were at that place, because I was too, not that long ago.

I'm not here to pretend to understand your problems, because I won't. Most of you who will read this article, I wouldn't even know who you are, where you come from, what you've seen in your life. But that edge you're on, the edge right before taking the plunge, that is somewhere I've been, and I'm here to tell you that it is not worth it.

What I can tell you, however, is that I wouldn't have had the experiences I've had if I had taken the plunge. I don't mean this to be an advertisement for stuMagz, but working here is something I truly enjoy. The friends I've made, the friends that were with me throughout, and the people I've experienced life with, none of it would have happened if I had made that one decision to take the plunge and end it all then and there.

Sure, from where you are right now, you may see no other way out, but let me tell you this: I thought the same. Since then I've traveled across the country, lived on my own in a different city, survived with little to no food and money, traveled through the heart of the Himalayas, seen the stars from a place with little to no pollution up in the sky, nestled between the mountains, high above the sea level, laughing to my heart's content with my friends, amazing friends whom I owe a lot and don't tell them enough how much I love them. All of which would never have happened, had I decided to take a plunge.

So really, ask yourself, are you really willing to end your life and deny yourself the experience of being alive? The experience of exploring new places, the experience of eating brand new food, of falling in love, falling out of love, healing and passing on your wisdom?

So no, if you're on the edge, don't think about your parents, your family, your friends to stop yourself from doing it. You're only going to be miserable and blame them for forcing you to stay alive. Instead, live for yourself. Love to the fullest, with all your heart, if your heart breaks, let time heal, then find someone else to love to the fullest. You matter, who you are matters, and your opinions, your presence, your joys and sorrows matter.

Living for yourself is the best thing you can do to yourself, because it gives you room to improve and be better than who you were yesterday. So no matter what happens, always remember that at the end of the day, you're only staying alive for yourself and yourself alone, because you, the bruised, the lonely, the mentally abused, you deserve someone who loves you, and whom better start loving than yourself?
"}]

Arunima Sharma's achievements have left us jealous, to be honest. This student from Bharati Vidyapeeth's College of Engineering has quite an impressive list of achievements in her bag, and has a clear cut vision of where her path will take her in the future. We caught up with the feisty and intelligent young woman for a chat about her journey so far, which has taken her from the streets of New Delhi to the hallowed halls of Columbia University. "I've always been the type of person that goes a step beyond to achieve what I want to achieve," she says, "something that's been consistent with me since I was a child. It's always about taking the initiative and following it through."

Arunima's journey into tackling women's issues in STEM fields started during her time in college. There have been many studies and articles done about the wage gap between men and women in fields such as engineering, medicine and pure sciences. However, Arunima's responsibilities are two fold in a country like India where there is still some amount of stigma attached to women being sent out of their homes for higher education, let alone to another country. She has also won the prestigious Anita Borg Memorial Scholarship 2016, held by Google.

"It was quite the experience, me getting a chance to go to Stanford University for Summer School. It's not very common to send women to another country to study and it was the first time for my parents as well. Thankfully, they've been tremendously supportive."

Arunima's parents, Dr. Akhil Prakash and Dr. Pooja Sharma were instrumental in her success, and she also credits her family, the CSE Department at Bharati Vidyapeeth's College of Engineering, New Delhi, specifically mentioning Dr. Narina Thakur, and her best friend, "I am what I am because of them, because of the amazing contributions they've made to support me in my struggles" she smiles.

Her experience at Stanford University are some of her most cherished memories, as she talks about how she got to network with people, and her adventurous first month, "In India, girls are actively discouraged from networking," she explained, "and the importance of network in fields like engineering cannot be understated. Nine Inch Nails is a famous band that makes great songs, and one of their songs called 'Hurt' was covered by the legendary Johnny Cash himself, and he did so good that it is now considered the best version of the song. Hurt was part of Johnny Cash's final album, and he died shortly after the album came out.

Was Cash afraid of death? We'll never know, but the pain in his voice, singing about everyone he knows going away in the end, and the lyrics, 'you could have it all, my empire of dirt' imply his regret and sadness at the end of his life. But then again, song lyrics can be interpreted in more ways than one.

The reason I pointed this out is because often times you feel yourself crushed with the weight of the world, feeling that you have nobody to talk to and hence nobody you can trust. But that isn't always the case. I understand that there are certain things you cannot talk with your family, but there is always going to be a friend you can talk to, right? If not, feel free to message the page, and I'll talk to you. Come what may, I'll be there for you.

Because I've been there, that dark desolate hole you are in when you convince yourself that there is nothing you can do and nobody you can talk to. The genius of the hole is that no matter how hard you try to climb out, one small mistake and you're straight back at the bottom. It is difficult, I know, to convince yourself that things will change for the better especially when they don't seem to change at all. But then, you can read about why things will always get better by clicking here.

The point I'm making is simple: no matter what people tell you, it is always okay to ask for help. If you feel that the weight of the world is on your shoulders, that you are stuck in a rut and cannot get out, that your life is terrible and you want to end it all, no matter what, there will always be people to help you out, if you just seek it. In Harry Potter, J.K. It is not something one feels when something bad happens, depression is something that penetrates every aspect of your life. From waking up in the morning and wishing you died in your sleep, to sleeping at night and hoping for the same, and everything in between, something I'll get into detail very soon.
Until then, realise that there will always be people that love you and respect you, and you asking for help does not making you a lesser person. It takes bravery to admit that there is something wrong and taking steps to fix it, so go and be brave, because you are worth it.
"}]
