The decision of hike has taken by the HRD minister along with the IIT panel.

The Ministry has decided to hike the fees for undergraduate courses in IITs from existing Rs 90,000 to Rs two lakh, they said.

Students belonging to families whose annual income is less than Rs 1 lakh will be able to avail 100% fee waiver, along with those belonging to Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes and the differently-abled.

Last month the Standing Committee of IIT Council (SCIC) had approved a three-fold hike in annual fees.

Students whose family income is less than Rs. 5 lakh per annum will also get a waiver of two-third of the fee, sources said.

The Standing Committee of the IIT Council (SCIC) had recently approved a threefold increase in fees for undergraduate programmes at IITs from Rs. 90000 per annum to Rs. 3 lakh, and sent the same for approval to the MHRD.

However, instead of Rs. 3 lakh, a hike of 120 percent has been implemented which will come in effect from the coming academic session
"}]

How's is it going to be? Is it useful? Am I wasting my time? How's the venue going to be? And the food? These were the questions I had before entering the venue, the meet. Once I entered the place, I was mesmerized. Seriously, this was the first time I actually attended a professional event, and I felt really comfortable at the place. I walked in along with two of my friends. As usual, we were enjoying the place, the moments of 'Stumagz' in a cool banquet hall. Then started the event, with a short speech by 'the CEO' of Stumagz.

Alright! It's totally fine till here. Then came the fun part, "The Jive". It went of for a quite good time. Of course, I didn't dance or 'Jive' if you prefer saying it that way. ;) Then the speech went on for a very long time. But I promise, It wasn't boring. No matter whoever it is, It feels so good to hear someone actually telling stories, I felt the same too. Meanwhile, I enjoyed looking at pretty girls at the place(Being frank) :D

Now It's almost lunch time and I guess everyone were hungry, Of course I was hungry. :P But it's okay, It's worth waiting for Stumagz ;) We were divided into groups. Groups consisting writers, creative, Techie, Executives. We didn't know each other, It was exciting, It was fun interacting to people. Then we proceeded for lunch, followed by distribution of coupons for Wonderla and Grabon. The best part was getting a chance to meet the head of Wonderla, and Founder(If i'm not wrong) of Grabon.

Let me conclude by saying that this was one of the best days I had so far. A chance to meet people with talent from different colleges, different places was really fantastic. Peace!!
"}]
Do suicide victims go to Hell?

This is the number one question people ask me. If I thought my loved one was going to Hell I’d ask that question too! Religion appears to doom people to Hell if they take their own life. I guess it’s considered a sin. Suiciders (sorry had to make up a word) do not go to Hell. At least, not the Christian Hell with the devil, the eternal torture, and decaf.

Hell is a state of mind. So technically you could put yourself in a self-imposed Hell if you are suffering from guilt, shame, and if you fear judgment. I don’t recommend it, but some people insist on doing this to themselves. If you do find yourself in Hell you’ll want to beat a hasty retreat. Read up on How To Get Out of Hell.

Bottom line here is that no one is relegated to Hell for ending his life. If during your Life Review you feel you’ve done so much wrong that you can’t be forgiven, you are free to flog yourself for eternity, but it is neither required nor necessary, and I don’t recommend it. Forgive yourself instead, learn from your mistakes, and move on.

txt
rich_1459957232583

Do suiciders linger or cross over?

I’ve encountered both.

I’ve been in contact with people who killed themselves, shed their mortal coil, sloughed off their ego, and bounced happily and merrily into the light to greet friends and family on the other side. The commonalities I’ve seen in this group are people who understand in advance that suicide is not a sin, who understand or are aware of how things work on the other side, and those who are not ashamed or feel guilty about ending their life prematurely. They cross over happily and easily.

I’ve also been in contact with suiciders who linger, who refuse to go into the light because of fear, shame or guilt. They don’t want to be judged. So they hang on as long as they can, usually by attaching themselves to a family member and using their energy to stay connected to Earth.

Others realize they made a mistake and are desperate to get back to their bodies, so they hang on for a bit too. Some linger to get forgiveness from their living loved ones, or in an attempt to ease their loved ones’ pain. Some linger because they’re still carrying depression and can’t slough it off.

txt
rich_1459957274359

Who helps or manages suiciders?

Those who suicide and linger are not alone. Not by a long shot. There are angels hovering around them to help them heal and cross over. And the angels guard them so they are not disturbed by other beings hanging around on the same plane. The angels try to help them forgive themselves so they can cross over peacefully.

txt
rich_1459957298544

Are they suffering?

Some of the suiciders who linger do appear to be suffering emotionally. Again, this is unnecessary and hopefully will not last long. But I have encountered some spirits who replay and repeat the misery in their lives over and over again and continue to wallow in depression, despair, and emotional turmoil until they can be crossed over by the angels. If you suspect your loved one is in this state, it is even more important to help them cross over by talking to them, encouraging them to go into the light, and to forgive themselves.

txt
rich_1459957324503

What sort of signs do suiciders send to their loved ones?

Pretty much the same signs you’ll get from any deceased loved one trying to get your attention.

You might feel their presence near you
Their special song comes on the radio when you’re thinking about them
Clock stops
Electrical disturbances for no apparent reason
Pictures or photographs get knocked over
Smelling their scent

txt
rich_1459957480038

The game of life
Remember that life is like a game. You make a character, start the game, and do the best you can with the resources you get. If you get to a point where playing the game is simply too painful, you can choose to stop playing. Sometimes you don’t realize that help was a phone call away, or right around the corner, but it’s not the end of the world.

Suiciding does leave a hole in the lives of those other characters you were interacting with, the ones who love you, and would have helped you if they could. So before you consider suicide, always ask for help. If you do find yourself at the end of your rope (literally) at the very least cross over with love and forgiveness in your heart. There really is no need to beat yourself up for your decision. And avoid Hell. Decaf sucks. 😉
"}]

The first modern Olympic Games, which started 120 years ago was honored in Google Doodle, included something more commonly associated with entitled children than ancient Greeks: a participation trophy. All 250 participants went home with a bronze medal. That's not the only way the first modern Olympics, which revived a 1,500-year-old ancient Greek tradition, differed from today's glitzy, highly produced, occasionally corruption-soaked spectacle. Although the first modern Olympics were unrecognizable in many ways — there were no women, no national teams, and only nine sporting events — the story of the run-up to the first modern Olympics sounds awfully familiar: The host country was in political turmoil, and hosting the event turned out to be much, much more expensive than anyone had anticipated.

American athletes dominated the competition

The first American Olympians were 14 men, mostly from the Boston area and from Princeton. The mother of one of the Princeton athletes paid for their travel. Two athletes had to drop out of Harvard in order to compete because they weren't given permission to miss class in order for the Olympics. But the Americans ended up dominating the competition, winning 11 first-place honors — which were silver medals, because gold medals wouldn't be given out for another eight years.

The Greeks had the second most victories. Athletes competed in 43 events in nine sports: swimming, gymnastics, track, cycling, wrestling, weightlifting, fencing, shooting, and tennis Robert Garrett, who won the discus event, had never used a real discus until he started participating in the competition. He'd had a blacksmith make him a practice version based on ancient Greek records; it turned out to be a foot wide and 30 pounds in weight, making it impossible to throw and more than 25 pounds heavier than the real thing. Garrett didn't find out what a discus really was until he got to Greece and saw the 8-inch, 4.4-pound discs the Greek athletes were practicing with. But he entered the competition anyway and stunned the spectators and the other athletes — all of them Greek — by winning. Thomas Custis, one of the American athletes, described the win in 1924 in the Massachusetts Institute of Technology's Technology Review:

His first two attempts… were laughable, as the discus, instead of sailing parallel to the ground, turned over and over and narrowly missed hitting some of the audience. Both foreigners and Americans laughed at his efforts, he, himself, joining in the general merriment. "On his third and last throw, however, he succeeded in getting the discus away perfectly and, to the chagrin of the Greek champion who had made three perfect throws in the most graceful manner possible, it was found that Garrett's throw exceeded by some two feet the best throw of any other man. I think no one was more surprised than Robert Garrett himself.

The 1896 Olympics also featured the first modern marathon But the Greeks got their own dramatic moment at the marathon, an event created for the 1896 Olympics (although distances weren't as precise). According to Custis, 30 athletes started but only seven finished — and the winner, in two hours and 58 minutes, was a Greek water-carrier named Spyridon "Spyros" Louis: All contests then in progress were temporarily stopped to await the arrival of the winner.

In the course of a few minutes, a tremendous cheering was heard outside the gate of the Stadium, and a man in the dress of a Greek peasant ran up the steps and onto the track, making his way towards the King's throne, in front of which had been placed the finish line. His appearance showed the tremendous effort that he had made, and the fearful ordeal he had undergone. He was covered with dust and grime, the sandals that he wore on his feet were in rags, and his drawn face showed the strain he had suffered. His name was "Loues" and he was a Greek donkey driver from the little town of Marousi. As soon as the people were able to recognize him, the cheering and clapping of hands that broke forth were deafening.

Hundreds of pigeons which had been kept concealed until then were set free, with Greek flags tied to their feet, hats were thrown in the air, the Crown Prince walked onto the track and congratulated Loues, and all the pent-up enthusiasm that the Greeks had been saving up during the past six months for this very event, broke loose with a vengeance. Louis became a national hero and will soon be featured on a Greek €2 coin — an even bigger deal than the honor for most modern Olympic champions, a Wheaties box.
"}]

"In the future we will not only have 14 billion light bulbs, we may have 14 billion Li-Fi,s deployed worldwide for a cleaner, greener, and even brighter future."

What is LiFi ?

LiFi[light fidelity] is high-speed, bidirectional, mobile and wireless networked communication technology similar to wifi.It uses visible light communication. With LiFi technology, data travels in the visible light spectrum through LEDs. This makes it possible to provide wireless internet access at speeds of over 100 Gbps, although this is still in the Lab.

LiFi and VLC :

LiFi is different from VLC as it is the overall concept that includes unidirectional and low data speed transfer of data, unlikeLiFi, VLC does not typically provide wireless Internet access. One could argue that even smoke signals are technically VLC. This is how modern VLC works.

• LiFi allows users to roam between lamps and still have connectivity as well as multiple users connecting to the same light and still getting different data streams

• Roaming – allows users to move freely between lights and maintain a Skype Video Call.

• Multiple Access – a single light can let different people browse the internet at the same time

History :

Herald Haas, who teaches at the university of Edinburgh in UK,coined the term LiFi at hi TED global talk where he introduced the idea of “wireless data from every light”.He is the chair person of mobile communications at the university of Edinburgh and Co-founder of Pure LiFi.
Pure LiFi is the first company to demonstrate LiFi system. The D-light project at edinburgh’s institute for digital communications was funded from jan 2010 to jan 2012.Haas promoted this technology in his 2011 TED global talk and helped to start a company to market it.

• Haas and his team who have launched Pure LiFi demonstrated the first commercially available LiFi system Li-1st with a capacity of 11.5 MB per second, which is comparable to first generation Wi-Fi at 2014 MWC in Barcelona.

• The Li-Flame is the world’s first true LiFi system. The public demonstration was at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona in March 2015.

VLC technology was exhibited in 2012 using LiFi.By august 2013 data rates over 1.6 Gb/s were demonstrated over single color LED.Many companies started working on this technology.Russian company Stins Coman announced development of LiFi called BEAM CASTER in 2014.Sisoft(Mexican company) in 2014 set record to transfer data at speeds of up to 10 Gb/s.

How does LiFi work?

When a constant current is applied to an LED light bulb a constant stream of photons are emitted from the bulb which is observed as visible light. If the current is varied slowly the output intensity of the light dims up and down and it works by switching the current to LED off and on at a very high rate. Because LED bulbs are semi-conductor devices, the current, and hence the optical output, can be modulated at extremely high speeds which can be detected by a photo-detector device and converted back to electrical current. The intensity modulation is imperceptible to the human eye, and thus communication is just as seamless as RF.

Using this technique, high speed information can be transmitted from an LED light bulb.
Radio frequency communication requires radio circuits, antennas and complex receivers, whereas Li-Fi is much simpler and uses direct modulation methods similar to those used in low-cost infra-red communications devices such as remote control units. Infra-red communication is limited in power due to eye safety requirements, whereas LED light bulbs have high intensities and can achieve very large data rates

Features
Li-Fi features include benefits to the capacity, energy efficiency, safety and security of a wireless system with a number of key benefits over Wi-Fi but is inherently a complementary technology.

Capacity :

Bandwidth: The visible light spectrum is plentiful (10,000 more than RF spectrum), unlicensed and free to use.

Data density: Li-Fi can acheive about 1000 times the data density of Wi-Fi because visible light can be well contained in a tight illumination area whereas RF tends to spread out and cause interference.

High speed: Very high data rates can be achieved due to low interference, high device bandwidths and high intensity optical output.

EFFICIENCY:

Low cost: Requires fewer components than radio technology.
Energy: LED illumination is already efficient and the data transmission requires negligible additional power.
Environment: RF transmission and propagation in water is extremely difficult but Li-Fi works well in this environment.
Safety

Safe: Life on earth has evolved through exposure to visible light. There are no known safety or health concerns for this technology.

Non-hazardous: The transmission of light avoids the use of radio frequencies which can dangerously interfere with electronic circuitry in certain environments.

SECURITY

LiFi is more secure than WiFi as it confined to closed area because light will not pass through walls.

Control: Data may be directed from one device to another and the user can see where the data is going; there is no need for additional security such as pairing for RF interconnections such as Bluetooth.

• Short range ,low reliability and high installation costs are potential down sides

Now-a-days many people entered into the new passion i.e,eating of junk food.Even though they know that the food causes a lot of health problems, they are addicted to that junk food .They are not taking proper care about their health due to their busy schedule. As they are involved in earning the wealth.

After coming home, many of the people are busy in watching T.V. I think it is better to put down the T.V remote and go for a walk .They should teach their children about a healthy way of living and inculcate healthy habits during their childhood. They should take their children for a walk by saying some interesting stories to them which are related to proper health. The children's mind should be deviated from the video games and make them play physical games.
