How's is it going to be? Is it useful? Am I wasting my time? How's the venue going to be? And the food? These were the questions I had before entering the venue, the meet. Once I entered the place, I was mesmerized. Seriously, this was the first time I actually attended a professional event, and I felt really comfortable at the place. I walked in along with two of my friends. As usual, we were enjoying the place, the moments of 'Stumagz' in a cool banquet hall. Then started the event, with a short speech by 'the CEO' of Stumagz.

Alright! It's totally fine till here. Then came the fun part, "The Jive". It went of for a quite good time. Of course, I didn't dance or 'Jive' if you prefer saying it that way. ;) Then the speech went on for a very long time. But I promise, It wasn't boring. No matter whoever it is, It feels so good to hear someone actually telling stories, I felt the same too. Meanwhile, I enjoyed looking at pretty girls at the place(Being frank) :D

Now It's almost lunch time and I guess everyone were hungry, Of course I was hungry. :P But it's okay, It's worth waiting for Stumagz ;) We were divided into groups. Groups consisting writers, creative, Techie, Executives. We didn't know each other, It was exciting, It was fun interacting to people. Then we proceeded for lunch, followed by distribution of coupons for Wonderla and Grabon. The best part was getting a chance to meet the head of Wonderla, and Founder(If i'm not wrong) of Grabon.

Let me conclude by saying that this was one of the best days I had so far. A chance to meet people with talent from different colleges, different places was really fantastic. Peace!!
"}]
Do suicide victims go to Hell?

This is the number one question people ask me. If I thought my loved one was going to Hell I’d ask that question too! Religion appears to doom people to Hell if they take their own life. I guess it’s considered a sin. Suiciders (sorry had to make up a word) do not go to Hell. At least, not the Christian Hell with the devil, the eternal torture, and decaf.

Hell is a state of mind. So technically you could put yourself in a self-imposed Hell if you are suffering from guilt, shame, and if you fear judgment. I don’t recommend it, but some people insist on doing this to themselves. If you do find yourself in Hell you’ll want to beat a hasty retreat. Read up on How To Get Out of Hell.

Bottom line here is that no one is relegated to Hell for ending his life. If during your Life Review you feel you’ve done so much wrong that you can’t be forgiven, you are free to flog yourself for eternity, but it is neither required nor necessary, and I don’t recommend it. Forgive yourself instead, learn from your mistakes, and move on.

txt
rich_1459957232583

Do suiciders linger or cross over?

I’ve encountered both.

I’ve been in contact with people who killed themselves, shed their mortal coil, sloughed off their ego, and bounced happily and merrily into the light to greet friends and family on the other side. The commonalities I’ve seen in this group are people who understand in advance that suicide is not a sin, who understand or are aware of how things work on the other side, and those who are not ashamed or feel guilty about ending their life prematurely. They cross over happily and easily.

I’ve also been in contact with suiciders who linger, who refuse to go into the light because of fear, shame or guilt. They don’t want to be judged. So they hang on as long as they can, usually by attaching themselves to a family member and using their energy to stay connected to Earth.

Others realize they made a mistake and are desperate to get back to their bodies, so they hang on for a bit too. Some linger to get forgiveness from their living loved ones, or in an attempt to ease their loved ones’ pain. Some linger because they’re still carrying depression and can’t slough it off.

txt
rich_1459957274359

Who helps or manages suiciders?

Those who suicide and linger are not alone. Not by a long shot. There are angels hovering around them to help them heal and cross over. And the angels guard them so they are not disturbed by other beings hanging around on the same plane. The angels try to help them forgive themselves so they can cross over peacefully.

txt
rich_1459957298544

Are they suffering?

Some of the suiciders who linger do appear to be suffering emotionally. Again, this is unnecessary and hopefully will not last long. But I have encountered some spirits who replay and repeat the misery in their lives over and over again and continue to wallow in depression, despair, and emotional turmoil until they can be crossed over by the angels. If you suspect your loved one is in this state, it is even more important to help them cross over by talking to them, encouraging them to go into the light, and to forgive themselves.

txt
rich_1459957324503

What sort of signs do suiciders send to their loved ones?

Pretty much the same signs you’ll get from any deceased loved one trying to get your attention.

You might feel their presence near you
Their special song comes on the radio when you’re thinking about them
Clock stops
Electrical disturbances for no apparent reason
Pictures or photographs get knocked over
Smelling their scent

txt
rich_1459957480038

The game of life
Remember that life is like a game. You make a character, start the game, and do the best you can with the resources you get. If you get to a point where playing the game is simply too painful, you can choose to stop playing. Sometimes you don’t realize that help was a phone call away, or right around the corner, but it’s not the end of the world.

Suiciding does leave a hole in the lives of those other characters you were interacting with, the ones who love you, and would have helped you if they could. So before you consider suicide, always ask for help. If you do find yourself at the end of your rope (literally) at the very least cross over with love and forgiveness in your heart. There really is no need to beat yourself up for your decision. And avoid Hell. Decaf sucks. 😉
"}]

The first modern Olympic Games, which started 120 years ago was honored in Google Doodle, included something more commonly associated with entitled children than ancient Greeks: a participation trophy. All 250 participants went home with a bronze medal. That's not the only way the first modern Olympics, which revived a 1,500-year-old ancient Greek tradition, differed from today's glitzy, highly produced, occasionally corruption-soaked spectacle. Although the first modern Olympics were unrecognizable in many ways — there were no women, no national teams, and only nine sporting events — the story of the run-up to the first modern Olympics sounds awfully familiar: The host country was in political turmoil, and hosting the event turned out to be much, much more expensive than anyone had anticipated.

American athletes dominated the competition

The first American Olympians were 14 men, mostly from the Boston area and from Princeton. The mother of one of the Princeton athletes paid for their travel. Two athletes had to drop out of Harvard in order to compete because they weren't given permission to miss class in order for the Olympics. But the Americans ended up dominating the competition, winning 11 first-place honors — which were silver medals, because gold medals wouldn't be given out for another eight years.

The Greeks had the second most victories. Athletes competed in 43 events in nine sports: swimming, gymnastics, track, cycling, wrestling, weightlifting, fencing, shooting, and tennis Robert Garrett, who won the discus event, had never used a real discus until he started participating in the competition. He'd had a blacksmith make him a practice version based on ancient Greek records; it turned out to be a foot wide and 30 pounds in weight, making it impossible to throw and more than 25 pounds heavier than the real thing. Garrett didn't find out what a discus really was until he got to Greece and saw the 8-inch, 4.4-pound discs the Greek athletes were practicing with. But he entered the competition anyway and stunned the spectators and the other athletes — all of them Greek — by winning. Thomas Custis, one of the American athletes, described the win in 1924 in the Massachusetts Institute of Technology's Technology Review:

His first two attempts… were laughable, as the discus, instead of sailing parallel to the ground, turned over and over and narrowly missed hitting some of the audience. Both foreigners and Americans laughed at his efforts, he, himself, joining in the general merriment. "On his third and last throw, however, he succeeded in getting the discus away perfectly and, to the chagrin of the Greek champion who had made three perfect throws in the most graceful manner possible, it was found that Garrett's throw exceeded by some two feet the best throw of any other man. I think no one was more surprised than Robert Garrett himself.

The 1896 Olympics also featured the first modern marathon But the Greeks got their own dramatic moment at the marathon, an event created for the 1896 Olympics (although distances weren't as precise). According to Custis, 30 athletes started but only seven finished — and the winner, in two hours and 58 minutes, was a Greek water-carrier named Spyridon "Spyros" Louis: All contests then in progress were temporarily stopped to await the arrival of the winner.

In the course of a few minutes, a tremendous cheering was heard outside the gate of the Stadium, and a man in the dress of a Greek peasant ran up the steps and onto the track, making his way towards the King's throne, in front of which had been placed the finish line. His appearance showed the tremendous effort that he had made, and the fearful ordeal he had undergone. He was covered with dust and grime, the sandals that he wore on his feet were in rags, and his drawn face showed the strain he had suffered. His name was "Loues" and he was a Greek donkey driver from the little town of Marousi. As soon as the people were able to recognize him, the cheering and clapping of hands that broke forth were deafening.

Hundreds of pigeons which had been kept concealed until then were set free, with Greek flags tied to their feet, hats were thrown in the air, the Crown Prince walked onto the track and congratulated Loues, and all the pent-up enthusiasm that the Greeks had been saving up during the past six months for this very event, broke loose with a vengeance. Louis became a national hero and will soon be featured on a Greek €2 coin — an even bigger deal than the honor for most modern Olympic champions, a Wheaties box.
"}]
