When student's enter to degree level they will start experiencing the semester system .Most of the institute's and universities in India follow the semester system as it improves the quality of education.Let me give a small description about semester system.Semester pattern ,choice- based credit system and a revamped syllabus, with focus on improving employability skills, are being introduced for degree level. A semester system is an academic tern that divides an academic year into two terms or parts. The word semester literally means six- month period.

txt

1.The greatest advantage of this system is that it reduces the load on the students and inculcated regular study habits. 2. Since academic year is divided into two semester's it provides upward mobility- the student can clear the backlog in one or many subjects even after moving to the next semester. 3. Best part is that it enables the students to learn at their own pace. 4. Well if you compare it to an annual system, it keeps students busy all year round with the same level of burden instead of the more work at the end of the year. 5. In semester system, student all time attach with study.studies which is good for the students. 6. The main advantage of semester system. Student busy all the year.

txt

ADVANTAGES OF SEMESTER SYSTEM : 1. It will provide an opportunity to the students for continuous learning ,assessment and feedback. 2. It facilitates a better understanding of the subject. 3. More emphasis is laid on class interaction because of constant engagement between teachers and students. 4. This system improves regular study habits among the students.

txt

DISADVANTAGES OF SEMESTER SYSTEM :1.Semester system faces inadequacy of time. Most of the times teachers fail to complete the syllabus in time.Students who join late will face lot of difficulties to catch the subject and complete the revision. 2. Semester system increases the workload as the evaluation process is conducted twice a year.

txt

BEHAVIOR OF THE STUDENTS AT THE BEGINNING OF THE SEMESTER : Though stidents feel pressure in the semester system, it facilities them to study regularly which develops reading habit among the students. Many a time, because of having to manage assignment deadlines and exams simultaneously ,students feel academically burdened. But,this system has been proved to be better at grading assessment than the annual system .All in all ,in many aspects, the annual system surpasses the list of the advantages whereas ,in other cases,it's the semester system that is in the lead. Both have their pros and cons and that is how a balance is created. Most of the students were like :

txt

Everyone is looking for the magic pill to success, the single key to success..... But the truth is, there isn't one key, there are many.

The keys are hardwork, dedication, determination, believing in yourself when no one else does.

The key is getting out of comfort zone and pushing yourself into difficulties.

The key is sacrificing your today for better tomorrow.

The key to success is to focus our conscious mind on things we desire not things we fear.

There is no shortcut towards success, you have to take the stairs of hard work.

No successful person ever got what he wanted by simply waiting around. The only way you can ensure success is by doing something about it. You need to work on your goals to achieve them. When you focus on what you want everything falls away. Stay focused on whatever you want to do and don't doubt yourself. Focus means you have to follow one course until you are successful. Stop getting distracted by the things that nothing to do with your goals.

True success means understanding your dreams and working joyfully to make those dreams come true.

The person who is working hard is able to gain happiness in life. Nothing is easy to be achieved in life without doing hard work.

The Edison worked for 21 hours a day and he sleeps only for 2-3 hours on the laboratory tables with his books as his pillow. The prime minister of India late Pt. Nehru, he worked for 17 hours a day and 7 days a week. There were no holidays in his calendar. The Mahatma Gandhi worked ceaselessly day and night and he won freedom for his country. The hard work is a price that we pay for success in the life.

"SUCCESS DOESN'T COME TO YOU, YOU GO TO IT."

If you are really committed with your dreams, nothing can stop you from tasting success. Success is a journey which continues even after the goal is achieved.

I hope all your endeavors in 2020 are successful and be the best year of your life.
"}]
People with disabilities have a tough life, or so it seems to everyone. But going by how some people don’t let their disabilities disable them, it is amazing how passion makes them succeed. Whether it is a physical disability or visual impairment, we hear many stories of a person overcoming all odds through sheer grit and determination to reach pinnacle of success in life. Today, i.e. January 4, is World Braille Day and stuMagz spoke to a student of Indian School of Business (ISB) who is visually challenged and is also a singer.

For the student, Shravya Kanithi, the disability was never even a factor in her way to achieving what she wanted to, as she says, “I was blind from birth. I have 100% blindness and because of that, I never even regretted being blind as this is all I know. I did have issues in my early life as what took 5 minutes for an average student to grasp took me way longer as hearing was my only form of taking in but I didn't let it disable me in any way.”

Shravya graduated with a B.Com degree from St. Francis and last year, she quit her job as a trainer at Uber and is currently pursuing a PGP course in ISB. In addition to her excellence in academics, she is a trained singer who released a music video last year.

Having joined the Indian School of Business in April 2019, Shravya is the first and the only visually challenged student of that institution and in the few months that she has been there, she has already made significant achievements, as she is now the president of the Women in Business Club of that institution.

Apart from this, she is also working on initiatives of inclusivity for differently abled students and foreign students, as she explains, "So far, there has never been a visually challenged student at ISB and that is the reason there is no infrastructure that enables a visually challenged student. That is why I am working to ensure small aspects like Braille stickers and devices to enable students to read books in the library are set up in the institution," shares Shravya.

Another initiative that she is currently working on will enable visually challenged students to learn in a better manner in classes by enabling the teaching faculty. For this, her method is to create a set of guidelines or a playbook of sorts for the faculty to make disabled-friendly presentations to ensure visually challenged students learn easily.

Shravya was a recipient of stuMagz 25 Under 25 award last year and we wish her the best in the years to come.
"}]
Having uneasiness at the very first days of college is the first quality you build being a student. No wonder why many people call the first day of college as "The nightmare of every student". Whatever you plan to do during the semester, do it on the first day. For instance, if you plan to use discussions, have students start talking on first day. If you plan to use groups frequently, put students in groups on the first day. If you plan to use extensive writing, have some kind of short reflective activity. If you want the students to be in charge for their own learning, start with an activity where they are the experts, and cannot relay on you for information. For instance, in a psychology course on myths about human behavior, the instructor starts with a brain storming of myths about student behaviors in droms.

txt

Savitribai Jyotirao Phule (3 January 1831 – 10 March 1897) was an Indian social reformer and poet. Phule along with her husband founded the first women's school at Bhide Wada in Pune in 1848.

The child bride who stood up against discrimination Born into a family of farmers in Naigaon, Maharashtra, she was married to 12-year-old Jyotirao Phule at the age of nine. She worked very hard to abolish discrimination and unfair treatment of people based on caste and gender. She is regarded as an important figure of the social reform movement in Maharashtra.

Savitribai Jyotirao Phule is also known as the first Indian female teacher.

At a time when people hardly identified the grievances of women in India, Savitribai Phule along with her husband stood up to fight the injustice against women.

How Balhatya Pratibandhak Griha came into existence?

She noticed the plight of women who after falling prey to sexual exploitation and becoming pregnant, either committed suicide or killed the newborn due to fear of banishment by the society. To cater to such women she opened a care centre for pregnant rape victims and helped deliver their children. The care centre was called "Balhatya Pratibandhak Griha" (Infanticide prohibition house).

Phule also worked to abolish discrimination and unfair treatment of people based on caste and gender, she found the treatment of the untouchables problematic and opened a well in her house in 1868 so that, people who were refused drinking water by the upper caste can use it.Phule also worked to abolish discrimination and unfair treatment of people based on caste and gender. There are different stages in our life. One of these stages is student days. This stage is considered one of the most important stages in our life where our present, future desires & dreams and everything depend on this stage only. At this time, our mind is like a clay. Clay is a soft thing used to design various shapes. Like clay, our minds can also be shaped in different ways. Onces the pots are made their shape cannot be changed. Likewise, onces our character is formed in one way,it cannot be changed easily. If we make the right use and receive a good education during our student life,we shall be successsfull in the future. On the other hand,if we aren't serious at this time,we can't achieve our goals. Students therefore, should be very careful. We must think seriously before every step we take. We must learn new things as much as possible at this period.

txt

The most important factor that students have to learn is Time management. We know that Time is most valuable thing in everyone's life and It never wait for anyone. If we dont know time management,it is difficult to achieve our goals. So every student has to plan accordingly and follow it daily. At the beginning of every step like 10th class or inter or BTech or any other fields, every student will have dreams to score good percentage of marks or someones will have dream to become the topper of university........... but at the end,the maximum students cannot achieve their respective goals. This is just because lack of preparation or lack of time management or underestimating themselves or laziness . If we ask any student about their preparation strategy, most of the students will answer "ONE DAY BATTING",completing the whole syllabus in just one night, and scoring average marks. Don't you think, how great they are!!!! Because it is difficult task to remember all the formulas within a short period. And some students say that surrounding matters alot, I dont know why it affects them. Because if you want to read or if you want to achieve your goals, it has to depend only on you, not on your surroundings, if you are really deterministics, nothing will affect you. And also some students who dont want to waste their time on movies or parties or chilling with friends. According to me, A student has to know everything about every field. I make resolutions, I have a list of them,When I say this I mean loads and loads of them. And for obvious reasons I know I won't work towards everything from that list. And no, I am not proud of it. But I think resolutions should not only be made on a specific occations, If there is something I want to work on then I'll start working from that instant, and if I dont want to do it then I wait until the deadline knock my door. Because I think enthusiasm and time are inversely proportional, as time increases the enthusiasm to do something decreases. Yes, I do resolute on special occasions like new years,my birthdays and all,but i don't wait for them. Speaking of my resolutions, ---I want to improve my performance in basketball. I want our team to be undefeated and I want to play the better part to make our team be the one. I want me to have those muscle tear on a very frequent basis after my practice sessions, which makes me count my every step i walk, but which also makes me feel good about the great practice session i would have had, and generates the motivation to work harder everyday. ---I want to perform well in my acadamics. No, I dont want to be a topper, I do not aim to perform better than anyone, I just want to perform well enough that it gets me placed. I believe in my passion in regards to the first one, but for the second one i think i need a lots of push and a little luck, May god bless me with that. These are the two major things I want to concentrate on,there are other little things I want to work on,I know there are many that would add on to the list, but these two top my list right now. WORK POSTPONED IS WORK DENIED!!
