However, that hasn't stopped the 18-year-old artist from Bhubaneswar from chasing her dreams and crafting fantastic pieces of art. Meet Anwesha Pradhan, the young artist on the rise from Odisha's quaint capital.<\/p>"},{"type":"img","id":"img-uid-1493836182561","data":"590a23b008f74"},{"type":"txt","id":"rich_1493836682971","data":"\"I only started drawing recently after I got my tablet,\" says the young woman, \"that isn't to say I didn't draw before, but it was only after I decided to learn how to draw using the tablet that I starting making the artworks you see today.\"<div>Anwesha has since then grown into a talented young artist with a sizeable fanbase online, mostly from the video game community, \"Her art is very well done, and if there is anything we've learned from Alex Ross, we need to encourage young artists so they go on and make the world a better place,\" said a fan, referring to comic book artist and writer Alex Ross who went on to draw one of the best renditions of Superman till date. <br><div><br><\/div><\/div>"},{"type":"img","id":"img-uid-1493837596048","data":"590a27c2867b4"},{"type":"txt","id":"rich_1493837701053","data":"Anwesha uses paint tool SAI and Photoshop to create her works of art, following are a few she's created. "},{"type":"img","id":"img-uid-1493838147080","data":"590a29d4ba635"},{"type":"img","id":"img-uid-1493838149312","data":"590a29d8df74f"},{"type":"img","id":"img-uid-1493838151718","data":"590a29dca1187"},{"type":"txt","id":"rich_1493838234937","data":"Like any other 18-year-olds, Anwesha too has dreams, \"I want to be a successful illustrator working in an animation or game studio, earning enough to support my family and be independent enough to chase my dreams further,\" she says when we ask her where she sees herself in five years, \"I want to be strong and independent, and I know the path I've chosen is not easy, but I'm willing to fight it out for it.\"<div>We also ask her what she would like to tell students who want to get into art and illustrations themselves, and she says, \"If they want to get into stuff like digital illustration and all, then I would suggest them to first practice basic drawing skills such as lighting, shapes, human anatomy, etc. on traditional mediums i.e, pencil and paper. Then soon after they're cool with these, they can buy a Wacom One tablet which is affordable.\"<\/div>"},{"type":"img","id":"img-uid-1493838584293","data":"590a2b58d2cbf"},{"type":"txt","id":"rich_1493838587547","data":"\"At the end of the day, I want to have fun with what I'm doing. I want to enjoy my life doing what I love, even if it means fighting for it. I'm certain about one thing though when I'm older, I can look back and proudly say that look! I followed my dreams! There would be no better satisfaction than that,\" she concludes with a smile. <div><br><\/div><div>Students like Anwesha are an inspiration to a whole new generation of artists growing up today, and even for those older than her to pick up art once again, to get back in touch with their artistic side.
