Now that we are in 2018 and we still have to hilariously sad articles like these - and yes I'm coining the term hilariously sad because that's exactly what this is, in a country where we are allegedly worshiped, women also find themselves groped nearly every day and Holi is just an excuse for all the creeps to come crawling out of the woodwork. <\/p>If you think I'm being overdramatic, there's a recent case where someone in Delhi filled a water balloon with semen and threw it at a girl who is currently traumatised and refuses to talk to people. Yes, semen.<\/p>Whoever did it was probably so starved for sex that he orgasmed into a water balloon. And nobody is even going to hold him responsible for this because whoever did it can feign ignorance and the man will get away, once again. <\/p>So anyway, coming back to the point, since a vast majority of this country still has trouble understanding consent and go on to touch your body wherever they please even when they say no, here's five tips for you to keep in mind to celebrate a safe holi as a woman. <\/p>1. Go out only with a group of friends that you trust: <\/b><\/p>It doesn't help that a large number of victims often know their assaulters, but traveling with a large group that you trust around Holi spots in your city is better than going solo and get locked in with strange men.
