One of the co-founders of Leaf Wearables, Paras Batra, describes his product as a Safer, smart jewellery’ an eye-catching, smart pendant — that can be paired with your mobile phone.
How it works — One can double-click the back of to launch a distress signal to your chosen guardians in case of an emergency. After that, it’s easy to track the wearer’s location. This works on the internet, and on SMS, which makes it truly accessible.
The founders, Avinash Bansal, Ayush Banka, Chiraag Kapil, Manik Mehta, and Paras Batra, all of them engineers at India's top colleges, including Delhi College of Engineering and the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi, have developed this technology-equipped device. under project ‘Guardian’, the team developed a safety device, which won the Ericsson Innovation Award that led to a complete product and to the founding of Leaf Innovation Pvt. Ltd in February 2015. Their product SAFER is a smart safety device, which can be used to send out alarms and send signals to chosen phone numbers in case of an emergency.
