I studied in a CBSE school and I know all about the stereotypes surrounding them; that they're more 'posh' than SSC people, that they're not as good at math and that their communication skills are better. I was one of the first batches to go through with the CCE curriculum. The lab rat batch, you can say. Despite all the pain it was to go pretend to do yoga or dance when you knew you had the grace of wet cardboard, it was all worth it in the end when your subject grades got upgraded because of your extracurriculars.

With the recent CBSE results out, students hear a lot of differing opinions on how important the results are, how they'll help, etc. As a person who's near enough to school to have relevant information and far enough from it to have some perspective, I'm here to let you know once and for all what good the CBSE results are.

Purely academically speaking, class 10 results don't matter much. Those looking to get into a junior college to pursue intermediate will have to write seperately entrance exams for them anyway and they'll consequently live in the shadow of your intermediate results. The class 12 results do matter though. They're taken into account when applying for admission into universities and are further considered on all applications that you fill- job applications, placements, etc.

Either way, irrespective of whether you plan to use your score to get into college or think it's of no use at all, the things you learn in school are precursors to everything else you'll encounter in life, both in and out of the academic fields. You need to have at least a little learning ability to move through life, the sort that should let you able to understand the concept you learn in school with ease.

Either way, I understand all the work, blood and sweat that goes into writing the exams and wish everyone happy holidays!
"}]

The United States enjoys a unique position in the world of academics with its fantastic universities and world-class professors, who not only come from the States but from across the world, just like the students. While the current political climate may seem a little tense, the fact that the United States houses some of the world's best Universities remains unchanged. That being said, among the various Universities in the US, there are some that are super friendly and easier for international students to get used to. Here's a list.

1. Harvard University

With student representation from over 150 countries on campus, Harvard is one of the most diverse universities in the United States of America. Established in 1636, it is the oldest institution of higher learning in the US and has remained one of the top colleges in the world for a significant portion of its life. Understandably, getting into the university is notoriously difficult with its famously low acceptance rate, but that's what happens when you're the most recognised university in the world.

The CBSE 12th results are out and there are already sharks in the water waiting to swoop in on children bleeding marks. The sharks here being your relatives who only seem to care about you in the result season, some even managing to perfectly show concern on their uncaring faces. You know the kind of people, they always ask you about your marks as if that's the only thing in life that matters, they'll never ask you about your hopes and dreams, you passions, what makes you tick, what annoys you, what your views on important issues are. It's always about the marks.

I'm sure some of all our relatives are well-meaning, and ask out of concern rather than to rub your marks in your face, but even then, your marks are nobody else's business except your own, and it should remain that way until a time when you have to use your marks to get ahead in life or admission into that college you've been eyeing. Of course, there are entrance tests and stuff after 12th, an extra hoop to jump through to prove your worth and get into prestigious colleges across the country, but that's a story for another time.

There's a fundamental problem with Indian relatives, personally, except a few notable exceptions I've found that they range from exceptionally mediocre to exceptionally annoying, and I'm not even married yet! Of course, this is just a part of a bigger problem: Privacy, or lack of privacy and lack of understanding why we need it.

There's a fundamental problem with how Indians precieve privacy of an individual, and this problem starts right from home. You aren't encouraged to have your own private room as a child due to various reasons, and that keeps carrying forward until we do not understand the concept of privacy. I've often found people stamping their feet with indignation when they didn't get the information they wanted from a person that has zero obligation to give it to them, a microcosm of the culture around privacy in the country, you either have nothing to hide or you have something disgusting to hide, there can be no middle ground.

The argument that one should not fear if they have nothing to hide is a logically weak argument that completely disregards that various complex aspects of a human's life. The same people who say they have nothing to hide will never give you their online banking passwords or their ATM pins and still continue to parrot a logical hole as a smart argument against privacy advocates. As Edward Snowden says, "Saying you don't need privacy because you have nothing to hide is like saying you don't need free speech because you have nothing to say."

So the next time someone asks you for your marks, tell them it's none of their business because it really isn't. Your marks should matter only to you, to your parents and your siblings, and nobody else, sometimes not even them. We will progress as a nation when the culture of glorifying numbers on the sheet goes away and instead students are praised for their ability, whether it is academic or otherwise. Do note that this doesn't mean I'm in favour of abolishing a marks system for rating examination papers, I'm in favour of schools and colleges not making this information publicly available so students don't have to face a situation where their marks are seen by people without their consent.

Because privacy matters, your personal right over your own marks matter, and consent matters.
"}]
Climate change. It's worse than we imagined it would be. The effects of climate change can have a disastrous impact on our planet Earth. High temperatures, loss of wildlife species, increase in sea level, changes in rainfall patterns, heat waves, stronger storms, wildfires and shrinking of arctic ice are few of the dangerous effects of climate change.

In support of that, let me paint you a gruesome picture: around 30,000 fish were found dead in the Rampally Lake in Hyderabad. Last week, some 40,000 fish were found dead in the Shamirpet Lake. Experts blame the increasing temperatures and pollutants in the water bodies as the cause of death.

Robotics, the name even a kid is aware of and has its own recognition everywhere, may be its benefits or adverse effects caused by malfunctioning may be the reason every one is aware of. This programmed bots are capable of doing human intended work within few minutes of times but it costs much more when its malfunctioning starts.

Robot the highly possible mean way of getting the work done as fast as in more precised, accurate way even on the planet or place where a man cannot survive .

The created artificial intelligence simulation software makes these bots capable of doing every work, machine learning making the bots adaptive to stimulus situation.

But its the technology that makes these works more properly until a bug reforms its to cruel one that wants us to work for it.

However and whatever may be the domain, technologies won't make human lazy remember that these are the creation of mankind for effective survival and sustainability.

Love the technology before it starts hating you.....
