Finally, the debate may end on why Technology and happiness cannot be on the same platform. It has always been argued how technology is killing happiness. 

Now IIT Kharagpur, which has always been in the news for innovation has come up with the novel idea of setting up a Center to study happiness through which they want to promote the emotional well being on the campus. This will allow students to conduct further research on happiness.

Studies regarding the same will be conducted on the campus. Courses, research and training about the same will be taking place. 

The concept is the brain child of Satinder Singh Rekhi, an alumnus of IIT-K, to promote an atmosphere conducive to have Happy technocrats, a press release from the Institute said. The facility  is being named after him as "Rekhi Center for Science of Happiness".

They are planning an International/National Conference on the same in August 2016. The infrastructure for the Center will be constructed soon.
