The ideas, discussions and outcomes have gone viral touching thousands of lives to initiate the fire of transformation in individuals. He kept himself updated about COP11 through newspaper, Television and other social media. During COP11 they discussed about increase in pollution, radiation effects, deforestation, extinction of species and many such topics. Ramesh wanted to contribute something to this cause. He observed that people were discussing more about extinction of animals. He thought it\u2019s equally important to save plant species from becoming extinct. The idea of collecting seeds of different plant species stuck his mind after he had heard from his parents and grandparents about the plant species which they once saw and have become extinct now. \n <\/p>"},{"type":"img","id":"img-uid-1466626524358","data":"576af1fccff95"},{"type":"txt","id":"rich_1466626367152","data":"Ramesh studied in a Govt Junior college, Tadoor. He is the first person to get education in his family. He slowly added collecting seeds to his daily routine. He used to attend college, help his parents in farming, take cattle for grazing (6 km walk) and on the way he would collect seeds. Collecting seeds while taking cattle for grazing is difficult since he has to keep an eye on them. So, Ramesh would remember the place where he saw new plants, tie the cattle at home after grazing and go back to the place where he found seeds on a bicycle, collect them and return back home. <\/p>"},{"type":"img","id":"img-uid-1466626554516","data":"576af219f3035"},{"type":"txt","id":"rich_1466626384531","data":"Like coin collection and stamp collection to others, seed collection has become Ramesh\u2019s hobby. Collecting seeds is not an easy task he says. He would collect some tiny seeds in cotton and wrap it in a cloth. Every time he collected a seed, he thought to himself that he is spreading his hands for a safer society. Ramesh once walked 18km along the road to collect seeds. He also went to Nallamala forest in search of some plant species. Since it was a sunny day he could only spend half day there collecting seeds. Sometimes, he took pictures of the plants and showed them to his Botany teacher, Rajender for local and scientific names of collected plant species. He had to wait near the entrance for several hours sometimes to write down the names of plants from his teacher. <\/p>"},{"type":"txt","id":"rich_1466626411345","data":"Forest officers restricted him many a times to enter the forest and that disappointed him. Ramesh, son of Mallaiah and Yellamma, has collected 460 seeds in a span of 3 years. In spite of taking good care in preserving the seeds, Ramesh had lost some of them because of their tiny size. After his intermediate, Ramesh has applied for Bachelors in Science in some degree colleges of Hyderabad. He had spent alone all night on March 2nd 2015, in a bus stop while returning home after visiting colleges in Hyderabad for admission. He is now pursuing 2nd year Bachelor\u2019s degree in Science.  <\/p>"},{"type":"txt","id":"rich_1466626428343","data":"Meanwhile, Ramesh approached Palle Srujana, a knowledge based NGO, which provides a platform for grassroots innovators to display their creativity and traditional knowledge. This NGO appreciated Ramesh for taking up the responsibility of preventing plant species from extinction at a tender age. It has helped him in getting awards and recognition from various institutions. Ramesh was featured around 6 times in different Telugu Newspapers. Ramesh\u2019s appeal to the government is to provide him a cold storage to preserve seeds.  <\/p>"}]
