1 <\/b>)Internalize the GATE syllabus.<\/p>
Before diving in to preparation, just have a review of whole syllabus and have a proper preparation strategy, most important thing prepare a proper timetable according to the syllabus .Don\u2019t Waste on your time in reading all the books for a single topic. <\/p>
2 <\/b>) Check the Exam Pattern.<\/p>
Have a look of exam paper patterns of last years so that you'll have a basic idea of question paper For instance, two types of questions will be asked in GATE MCQ's and numerical answer type (NAT) questions. Also, MCQ's carry negative marking, while for NAT questions no marks will be deducted for wrong attempts. All similar points outlined in the exam pattern of GATE has to be taken special note of. Remember, every extra mark you earn is going to count.<\/p>
3 <\/b>)Take notes.<\/p>
Jot down important topics and formulas ,have a habit of jotting down points while preparing for exam .build your concepts,Do a periodic review of your preparation before exam.<\/p>
Notes can be 2 types: <\/p>
a<\/b>)conceptual notes (should be as short as possible) so you can recollect just before exams.<\/p>
b<\/b>)Formula book: write down formula with key words and write down your mistakes while solving problems just opposite to it.\n
<\/p>
This will help you a lot before examination.<\/p>
4 <\/b>)Focus on speed and accuracy..<\/p>
Time management in exam is mandatory . When solving a problem, see to it that you are picking up speed. One way of increasing speed is clearing concepts and remembering all important formulas. With good speed you can save that extra second, and can assign that time to some other problem. Second, do lots of practice.<\/p>
5 <\/b>)Solve sample papers..<\/p>
As for accuracy, the candidate needs to be sharp and pay attention to the task at hand and not waver. Accuracy, like speed, also comes with lots of practice. Doing sample papers and taking mock tests are other effective ways to improve on these fronts.<\/p>
6.<\/b>)Revision.. <\/p>
\nFriends by only reading once or twice you can\u2019t remember and recollect all subjects at the exam time.you have to revise at least 3 to 4 times one subject to get grip on it.<\/p>
