Back then in early 2000's Bangladesh was referred to minnows. But, after a decade and a half things changed for them. They are no more "minnows". There are many instances to prove it.A fresh one would be their record-breaking victory against kiwis. Let's dig deep into these two teams in the context of this epic eliminator.

Let's go alphabetically, so it is Bangladesh now

Team Bangladesh

Forget about team rankings and previous appearances, what matters now is how the team is composed. How well it is balanced on the paper and how will they express themselves on the field. It is composed of a batting lineup which is as strong as concrete. Tamim Iqbal is in the form of his life by scoring a hundred and fifty in the early stage of the tournament. You can find a decent middle order with Soumya Sarkar, Mahmadullah, and Sabbir Rahman.Mushfiqur Rahim, another asset to the middle order(I feel he messes with DRS, not bat) The team is quite young and all of these players are facing their first ICC knockouts(Semi-final to be precise, as they have faced India in the quarterfinal of ICC World Cup 2015 way back down under).

When coming to bowling, it has fierce bowlers in the form of Mustafizur Rehman, Taskin Ahmed, and Robel Hossain. Those cutters from Fiz (Mustafizur) are his greatest strength and it is always a delight to watch this lad taking pace off the balls. Coming to the leader Mashrafe Mortaza, he is quite a character on the field with aggression and quick temper. He should be as calm as possible not only with the ball but also holding back his anger on his own team. Bangladeshi fans find a sigh of relief or calmness (which is unusual, if you know what I mean) as they see their trademark allrounder Shakib-Al-Hassan plays his game. He can make a huge difference by hitting the ball hard and by taking wickets with his deceptive spin.

Bangladesh +ves: Tamim Iqbal's batting prowess, Shakib-Al-Hassan's all round display, Lights of Fiz.

Bangladesh -ves : Poor middle order, lack of coordination in middle over bowlers.

Now it's our time, Bleed Blue!!

Team India

Indian cricket has evolved to its fullest in the recent years and continues to entertain the game lovers all over the world. Many people were disappointed as M.S. Dhoni stepped down from the humungous responsibility of captaincy.Who can forget he is the only captain to have 3 ICC trophies to his name (2007 WT20,2011 WC,2013 CT).Now the focus lights are on "King Kohli". He didn't disappoint us, did he? He still plays his game in his natural style with intent and aggression. But, he should be cautious as he is playing his first knockout as a full-time captain. Now, Well there is definitely a sweet romance between Shikar Dhawan and CT. He is still hailing high in this tournament which he has done in the previous edition too. A bright start from Dhawan and Rohit has become common in the tournament and I hope they will do it again for a couple of times. Indian middle order is so strong that you take a name, they all have runs to show on their name.Whether it be Dhoni, Jadhav, Yuvraj, and Pandya. So, Indian batting is safe and sound.

Coming to the bowling department, you have crackers like Bhubaneswar Kumar, Umesh Yadav and of course the "King of Death" Jasprit Bumrah. You have "Sir" Jadeja to take care of spin and I reckon Ash"win" should play this game as it adds depth to the bowling.

India +ves: Rock solid batting, a bunch of match winners, bowling responding exceptionally well.

India -ves: They need to focus on team composition, I feel one more bowler would balance two sides of a coin.

Avg first innings score: 226, highest being 408/9

Avg second innings score: 178.

Players to look out for: Virat Kohli, Shikhar Dhawan, Ashwin, Mustafizur, Tamim Iqbal, Shakib-Al-Hassan.

P.S: All images are taken from espncricinfo.com, google and the images are in the order of players to look out for. Stats are taken from cricbuzz.

My personal favorite : Of course India #bleed blue.

The transition from college life to a corporate one can often be a little difficult as there are a lot of things you need to internalise before being a productive member of the team. Of course, college can be a microcosm of the things you need to do to be an effective member of a team, but then again, not many have this privilege, and some people refuse to learn or cannot learn. Don't worry, however, if you're here reading the article, it means you are willing to do what it takes to be a good team member, and that's half the battle won. The intent matters, the execution, well, that is in your hands.

So what does it take to be a good team player, especially in a work environment?

1. Commitment

A team is as fast as the slowest member of the team and that is someone you do not want to be. To be an effective member of the team, you must be willing to jump head first into any problems throw at you and your team, working together to solve issues like clockwork. Take a proactive approach to work and commitment rather than a laid back one, it'll also encourage your team and help you in solving issues that come your way.

2. Supporting fellow team members

As stated earlier, the team is as fast as the fastest member of the team, so it is extremely important for you, as a good team player, to check in with the new member or someone who has been having difficulties dealing with the inner workings of a project you're handling. A good team player helps fellow team members, and also a good team player is not afraid to ask for help as well. It's a mutually beneficial relationship, after all.

3. Open to ideas

It can be difficult to solve a particular issue by yourself, maybe you don't see something that another member of the team can see. Going at it with brute force will only make things worse for you as you'll becoming increasingly irate and irritable. This is why it is quite important to listen to new ideas from other members of your team. Two eyes are always better than one, and more eyes on the project will only help in identifying issues faster. It's a win-win situation really, so there's no reason why you shouldn't be an active listener and open to ideas, it can throw up plenty of solutions to your seemingly frustrating problem.

4. Communication with the rest of the team:

A popular issue with many workplaces is the lack of communication due to various issues, and this is truly sad to report considering it is one of the easiest problems to solve, with many people talking about it for years. A clear cut communication line between yourself and your team members not only makes teamwork more efficient, it avoids errors which only end up wasting more time than it should. It is highly important to be clear with your teammates and clear things with them as often as you can.

5. Adaptable:

One of the best things you can be in a corporate setting, once you are part of the working world, especially in corporate, it pays to be flexible and adaptable. Always be open to new ideas and always be willing to change your views if they serve to help your work proceed faster than the pace it is currently moving on. The true mark of adaptability is shown when you take the challenges of work life head on without worrying, being flexible enough to both dive in and finish your challenges with the help of your team. It is great for your profile as well, so there's no downside.

Work life can get quite hectic, but you can achieve a great work-life balance once you start being committed to your work and take care to avoid being reckless in your personal life so it doesn't affect your work the next day. I would like to party on a Monday night too, but there are goals to meet and commitments to honour the next day at work.

Everyone loves food, but it takes special dedication to give it the love and care it deserves to turn out the way it does. This is why chefs are important, people who dedicate themselves to being the best at what they do, making delicious dishes out of the ingredients given to them, and no, it is not as easy as it sounds.

It gladdens us then to report the success of a young 16-year old chef from Hyderabad Public School. Meet Trisha Reddy, the winner of Young Chef India 2017. She was the only contestant from Hyderabad and one of the only two from South Zone to compete. We speak with the young winner about her journey.

"I used to watch a lot of cooking shows when I was younger," Trisha says, laughing, "It was clear that I was interested in cooking because nothing appealed to me more than delicious food being cooked on the screen. So it was only natural that I tried it myself."

Trisha's first dish, much like the rest of us, was instant noodles, a dish more than half of us swear by to fight hunger in emergencies. However, unlike others, Trisha did not just stop at noodles and kept experimenting and honing her craft.

The Young Chef India competition, held by the International Institute of Hotel Management, had multiple rounds of gruelling competition to filter out the contestants, who would then face the final hurdle in New Delhi, where 10 contestants from across the country would compete with each other for the grand prize: a scholarship at IIHM, Rs. 5,00,o00 lakhs grand prize and of course, recognition. The finals were also televised on NDTV Goodtimes, and it was as nailbiting as a thriller.

"My school took us to the local held competition," says Trisha, speaking about participating in the competition and the help her school gave her, "During one of the rounds, I had my exams and I was worried about writing them, but my school made arrangements for me. They're quite happy that I won now," she smiles.

Trisha's journey took her from Hyderabad to Bangalore and then onwards to New Delhi for the finals.

Hyderabad chicken was the dish that won the hearts and minds of the judges at the competition, but it was not without challenges, "We were given preassigned desserts to make, and I was assigned Malpua," she says, referring to the sweet dish popular in Odisha, West Bengal and Bangladesh, "I was stumped at first, because being a South India, Malpua was kind of new to me. The recipe we were given was also a mere 8 line long one that didn't get into the specifics, so I had to improvise."

The hard work paid off, with Trisha being chosen as the Young Chef India 2017, and Trisha looks to the future with a renewed purpose, "I hope to open my own restaurant," she smiles, before speaking about what she would like to tell her peers, "Hotel management is not just about cooking, it's about learning and managing all aspects of running an actual hotel. It is not as easy as it sounds, but it is definitely an exciting job. I now am closer to studying at IIHM which has been a dream for a while, and you can do it too. All it takes is dedication."

With young people in the city looking to make a mark for themselves in various fields, Trisha marks a welcome change in today's youth, an example that the young people of today are not afraid to take risks and do what they want to do, and that is an inspiration to many. We wish her all the best!
"}]
