Last week, I reviewed Ajaya Book 1: Roll of The Dice<\/a> and this week I'm reviewing its sequel, which concludes the story. The sequel begins with Draupadi being summoned after being won by the Kauravas in a game of dice and goes on to tell the exact same course of events of the Mahabharata that we all know. Reader gets really absorbed into the plot and it is hard to put the book down once you start reading it.<\/p>The way Krishna has been portrayed in this book is very unorthodox and might even offend orthodox readers but it is unique, in the sense that it shows Krishna in an angle that hasn't been heard of before. Krishna is shown as this Machiavellian statesman for who ends justify the means. Love is an overrated word.<\/p>
Call me old school but I only find people disguising their physical attraction in the garb of love. Hailing from a conservative background, I may pretty much be bashed up for this, but this is what it is. Maybe I have never experienced the true kind of love or maybe never seen it as such but what strikes me is the ease with which teenagers usually fall in and out of love. It is a fad these days to be in a relationship and not being in one is seen as something to be awkward about. <\/p>
Being a silent observer of the new age relationships, I have always tried hard to understand the intricacies and dynamics of romantic relationships that youngsters around me build. It has always come out to be a one dominant- other timid kind of relation or the one with benefits. It has been reduced to a farce. <\/p>
A kind of right to exert power and dominance upon the other. I have come across super suspicious and insecure guys who would doubt the girl\u2019s morality even if she glanced at another male specie. I had the unfortunate privilege to experience people breaking off a much invested, deep relationship just because the girl was an extrovert. I also see guys trying to force their so called girlfriends into something they do not agree with just because they feel entitled to own her. I have also seen guys being entangled in emotional loops and losing their heart and mind when their much loved partner breaks off the relation citing family pressure. In short, I do not endorse one particular gender or stereotype the other. Anyone can be the perpetrator but what remains as a result of this is no belief in this institution, animosity towards the other gender.It has always been infatuation followed by bouts of realization and when reality hits right in the face, it leads to heartbreak for the other person involved. <\/p>
Maybe the old timers had it going on the right way and we youngsters have got it all skewed, but whatever it is, seems wrong! And sometimes disgustingly wrong!<\/p>"}]
