Have you ever thought about why there is a space for internships in the application form for a particular job? Or why is there a club or a cell in the college for internships? Are they that important we have to spend our ever-so-important time completing them instead of binging over something? Well, let me tell you something there is this one classmate of mine who had done an internship with an up-and-coming company as a content writer. Everyone asked this person what she had earned. And she answered like this “earned so much that dissipated into thin air after a week of frugal expenditure”. When asked whether it was worth it, she said yes.

To our understanding internship is a part-time job related to what we are studying. Where you more earn less. But why are these given such importance just what we get that changes the aura of our resume? For us to know about its importance we need to clear our misconceptions about it first.

Well first and foremost we should know internships are not part-time jobs: yes we earn some pocket money. But, no. It is more of a place to earn experience. An experience which gives us a unique standpoint among our peers.

The treatment of interns is not as bad as shown in movies and dramas, like bringing coffee and carrying documents. Many companies provide many perks and amenities even to the interns.

Not every good internship has to be a paid one, there are many internships out there that pay less and some don’t but provide the interns with a solid and over-the-top work experience. One of my seniors shared his experience in an internship, which was not paid, there he worked under a person for that person’s PhD research. There he learned how to program in assembly language, which to my confusion never occurred that it was possible in my whole three years of CSE. And he learned it from the ground up.

An internship at a big company is not always useful, but one from a small company is more useful as we come to know the actual work and job responsibilities.

Some say that they can just buy out the experience letter for an internship. Man who are they trying to fool the interviewers are not idiots in finding out who done what.

So internships are not something one does for money they do it for experience, to build an ability to form connections and to learn the work environment under the guidance of professionals. It is not something for the students to add a few lines to their resumes but a bridge that helps them in their job hunting.

Tell us what's the most terrify thing that always come to your mind about internships!
"}]
Little Flower Degree College is one of the renowned colleges in which I did my BSC. It was a huge campus adjacent to the main road leading to Uppal ring road, more like among three roads forming a triangle on google maps. I enjoyed my time there which was obviously not the case for some of my friends who were in Tarnaka then.

The campus provides many facilities and a good environment. More so for the Degree college, is actually one of the best degree colleges in our state, which has all the things you expect from a well-established institution but the students have to wear a uniform.

What was there to enjoy? That’s the question you may get. Well, the study there is good and more than what you expect from an intermediate college. But the thing was most of the time I was outside than inside hanging out with friends. Let me tell you there is only one gate to enter the campus and they are strict, but we still did our thing.

This campus is situated beside one of Hyderabad's busiest roads, and there is even a metro line on this road. From here you can go to Uppal, Nagole, L B Nagar, Hubsiguda, Tarnaka and so on. In any tourism safety and protection are very essential. The risks and dangers of a trip normally depend upon your travel destination, how well aware and organized you are earlier than departure.

Here are a few safety and protection measures that could help you have a safe journey.

1. Do your research:

Get to know about your travel destination before you plan for the trip. Read reviews, surf sites on the web to know more about the availability of medical emergency services and daily needs. Check the State Department's internet site for local updates and enrol in the Smart Traveler Enrollment Program (STEP).

2. Don’t draw attention:

People are prone to scam outsiders, lie about false things, and might even harm them for money. So do not wear anything so attractive while traveling. Protect your belongings and be ready with a backup plan always in case of any emergency.

3. Make copies of essential documents:

Always carry the scanned copies or a soft copy of your identity proofs when you travel. Make the duplicates of the original copies if possible and carry them along with you.

4. Be cautious of public Wi-Fi

Don’t easily use the public password-free wifi. There may be hackers or thieves who could commit cybercrimes, steal your valuable data and important private information as well.

If you do want wi-fi Internet service, installation of a digital non-public network (VPN) on the way will let you get the right of entry to the Internet securely whilst journeying.

5. Be aware of your surroundings:

While speaking to strangers, do not overthrow any of the private information of your personal or professional lives. Keep a watch for public property as well.

Take these precautions for ensuring a safe journey.

*Keep your journey plans, which include lodging information, to yourself.

*Don't hitchhike.

*Try now no longer to journey at night.

*Avoid 'seedier regions of the towns you visit, particularly at night.

*Follow the safety precautions informed by your travel guide as well.

*As a popular rule, metropolis streets that consist of youngsters and girls recommend the vicinity is secure for families.

*Keep a soft copy or a duplicate of your passport and all other essential documents in a secure place.

*Use ATMs at some stage in the day, whilst there are humans around.

*Try to depend more on credit score playing cards and travelers’ cheques than cash.

*If you're mugged, do not combat again. It is better to lose some bucks and a wristwatch than to get injured.

*Avoid incidents consisting of fights, riots, or civil disturbances always.
"}]

Today, on the 12th of August 2022, the United Nations observes International Youth Day to spread awareness of the significant issues that occur in the lives of many children between the ages of six to thirteen.

Many children lack the ability to read and do basic math. Not to forget about the major concerning issue of malnutrition among children. This day is also observed for recognizing the value of Youth in today's world.

The first ever International Year of Youth was celebrated by the United Nations in the year 1985. After 10 years the United Nations General Assembly adopted the World Programme of Action for Youth. Rules and policies set that was to be followed by countries to develop and improvise the situation of the youth in the world were implemented. It was not until the year 2000 that the World first celebrated Internation Youth Day.

The World Programme of Action for Youth is a strategic framework of policies and guidelines to guide nations in supporting, empowering, and improving the conditions of young people. The focus of the WPAY is to encourage national actions to improve the number of quality opportunities for youth, ultimately encouraging them to be active and effective participants in society.

Today most of the population in the world consists of the Youth population. It is said that the youth is the symbol for the representation of hope and the future.

In a message about International Youth Day, Director-General of UNESCO, Irina Bokova, writes, “Young people are not only our future—they are our present… They are the most connected, the most outspoken, and the most open-minded generation the world has ever seen.”

The Youth of today has the ultimate potential to shape and mold the world in the present as well as the future. But the harsh reality of poverty leaves many children away from the lack of basic literacy, reading, and writing skills. Only if more of these children are exposed to education, there wouldn't be a fall in juvenile crimes.

This youth day, let's be part of this beautiful initiative and build better lives for ourselves as well as others!

"}]

"Every great dream begins with a dreamer. Always remember, you have within you the strength, the patience, and the passion to reach for the stars to change the world."

In this article we feature one such talent, which turned into a passion and has won him Records - Yogender.

S.Yogender is an Under graduate pursuing his B.Tech degree at Anurag University major in computer science. His hobbies include making micro-arts, drawing, travelling. His goal is to become an entrepreneur.

Let us see his views on different questions.

1) When did it all start, how did you develop your interest in arts?

When I was studying in intermediate, I saw one of my seniors doing micro-arts. So, from then I was interested to learn from him. But my senior denied helping me. So, I have decided to learn myself. I started learning step by step. In the first stage, I couldn’t even have a grip on the pencil. Slowly by practising and keeping more interest in it I realised that I could make micro arts much better than my senior. Later, I decided to earn money from it thinking that this is my new and unique skill.

I have developed my interest in art by doing it frequently but in different ways. Like, in my first stage I have done the art using chalks later I started trying the same on the pencil, and rice grains. I have modified it and made keychains, and little bottles from it.

2) Are you good at any other arts?

Besides micro arts, I am also good at drawing. I have a lot of interest in doing sketches of different animations. Rather than this, I can draw sketches of a person by taking reference to their face.

3) How did you feel on your achievements?

I achieved VAJRA WORLD RECORD and BARVO INTERNATIONAL BOOK OF WORLD RECORD, for Rubik's cube which is smaller than a rice grain and also Radio smaller than a rice grain.

It's a dream come true moment for every passionate person... like that dream became real in my life too. Having a passion and following it in the right way gives us more benefits and happiness from it.

4) How can you earn from it, or find it as a profession?

By selling my arts according to the need of the customer(customised arts), advertising them on my social media platforms made me earn money from it. So, I find it one of my professions.

Yogender believes that hard work put together with passion one day, will sure bring you laurels.
Never let your passion die!"}]
