DAY 1!!!! I heard a sweet routine voice of my mumma "Get up it's ganesh chaturthi, you need to get ready soon we are going to temple". I over hear the same voice waking me up every day but this day i loved to hear that voice because it's one of my favourite days. The excitement to see lord ganesh idols in my town 😍. My papa takes me on a ride over the town to see all the idols and celebrations. My little eyes blink with all the joy. So a little into dramatic flashback from school,
He began playing football precisely in his 8th grade. By that time, he knew he was good at goalkeeping so he stuck to it. The very reason he became a keeper was because of a bet. ( don’t tell me you never made a silly bet, rofl. ) A bet that he wouldn’t be able to stop a penalty... he recalls. And that one bet changed his life forever.
He always wanted people to watch and admire his game.
He has never been afraid of failure. In his 9th grade, his house team got an unexpected goal and they lost because Pullela conceded 2 really cheap goals. His opponent came over to him and said, “ you could’ve stopped that, why didn’t you?” He realised that he’s gotta work hard. The next year he was “ The fallen star on the ground “ for sure. The semi final came down to penalties, if he were to stop it, they’d win or destiny had it. The only thing he had on his mind was how to celebrate after stopping it. Without a second thought about losing, he along with his team went on to the finals and sadly, they lost it. Mind you but according to him that was one of the best games he has ever played. The entire school congratulated him for his individual success as well. Then comes the melodrama. He was selected for the Districts but couldn’t go because he wasn’t allowed to.
Soon after... his body started to give up on him. Body pains, headaches and he also had an inflammation in his knee since then, which he got to know of only until an year ago. He wondered if that was the end of his football career. But then MGIT happened!
He has never been the kind of person to say that he disliked his school or college. He is grateful that they offered him an opportunity to showcase his skills. He met a lot of great people too.
When he entered MGIT, his first thought was, “ I’m gonna be the keeper for this college ”. And after a few practice sessions he did become the keeper and entered a whole new realm! His first pro performance( one of the best) was at BITS. Forward to his second year that brings him The CMR tournament. By this time, people knew he was good but his self confidence was shaky. They started off well at 1-0 lead. Pullela made two grave mistakes and whoosh... it was 2-1 and hereby first - half ended leaving them devastated.
His teammates supported him and fought for him that the overwhelming emotions made him cry. HE CRIED. After the the pens were over, that changed him. That moment was a boy to a man. He knew what it meant to be taken to the deepest of places with no help. Only fear, but to fight back and make 3 penalty saves. That changed him.
Now he’s in his fourth year. Has not played any tournaments yet this year. But all these years being as good as he is at keeping, he hasn’t won any gold trophy but he fell in love with the game. Playing football has always been a struggle to him, the one thing he gave 100 commitments to. He gave up parties, bunking classes and a lot. His family is not that supportive when it comes to football. Be it playing or even watching the game while he sacrificed a lot. One thing he realised in life is that, to achieve something you need to learn to let go off a few things, at least temporarily. Now he believes that he found a balance. He found something really special in his third year.
He learnt a lot about the game and about life. He believes this game gifted him everything. He also trained his friend who got selected for the HYDERABAD FUTSAL LEAGUE (HFL). Though he could not make it himself, he was so proud. He is now the captain of this amazing team and hopefully they will win something this year.

They ask us things like passion, dedication but when it comes to us, we cannot even ask for flexible timings. But for the love, we have the sport we do it all with a smile on our face. The reason why we do it all, get up at super freaky timings, workout, like there is no tomorrow, lies in the previous sentence. The sport is the reason we smile and it isn't the fake smile which we give while we are in the college, something which comes out all by itself, sometimes it feels there is some sort of magic hidden in it.

txt
rich_1567321947660

Aravind has been playing cricket for almost a decade now. Playing for HCA and other clubs have been an amazing journey for this extremely athletic boy. There have been days when Aravind had to go to the hospital because of his overtime on the ground but none of it has deviated his love for cricket. You see the initial paragraphs are words by TM Aravind himself. He wanted to show his love and passion but at the same time explain the scenario of cricket in the current times. An unorthodox approach for writing this featured article has only one reason and that is to motivate many aspiring cricketers to work towards their goal irrespective of what the outcome might be. Aravind wants to be able to play for the national team and go on to help the next generation probably as a coach. He wants cricket in India to be uncorrupted once again.
"}]
Dear friends, This is my opinion on her. I'm talking about the one who is mother to everyone.... The mother of mothers and their children....who is so called as 'love'. Yes, don't you think love is itself the motherhood which is residing inside everyone. A mother is the only one who always keeps loving her children even when they are doing something wrong with her. So my dear friends, This is a thing which happens to all of us in general..... If I'm not wrong.... As we all are humans who are having patience to a certain extent.... when someone (relatives or friends etc.) are doing something wrong with us and if it is a high time to express our anger.... Then let us please do it in a right way. But don't let the hatred enter inside you. 'Hatred' is the one who disturbs our mother i.e 'love' inside us. As many times as we develop hatred with the people around us.... we are actually asking our mother inside us to leave her home i.e our mind. What happens if we let the hatred enter us and send her out of our body....? Just think about her..... Whenever she is inside us she gave us peace of mind. "Should we send her out" is my question. "Loving a person or not loving a person is always in our hands". If we treat the one doing wrong with us as innocent as a child, we can love that person.

txt

I was born in a secluded village on a mountain. Day after day, my parents plowed the yellow dry soil with their backs towards the sky. One day, I wanted to buy a handkerchief, which all girls around me seemed to have. So, one day I stole 50 cents from my father’s drawer. Father discovered about the stolen money right away.

“Who stole the money?” he asked my brother and me. I was stunned, too afraid to talk. Neither of us admitted to the fault, so he said, “Fine, if nobody wants to admit, you both should be punished!” Suddenly, my younger brother gripped Father’s hand and said, “Dad, I was the one who did it!” He took the blame, and punishment, for me.

In the middle of the night, all of sudden, I cried out loudly. My brother covered my mouth with his little hand and said, “Sis, now don’t cry anymore. Everything has happened.” I will never forget my brother’s expression when he protected me. That year, my brother was 8 years old and I was 11 years old. I still hate myself for not having enough courage to admit what I did. Years went by, but the incident still seemed like it just happened yesterday.

When my brother was in his last year of secondary school, he was accepted in an upper secondary school in the central part of town. At the same time, I was accepted into a university in the province. That night, Father squatted in the yard, smoking packet by packet. I could hear him ask my mother, “Both of our children, they have good results? Very good results?” Mother wiped off her tears and sighed, “What is the use? How can we possibly finance both of them?”

At that time, my brother walked out, he stood in front of Father and said, “Dad, I don’t want to continue my study anymore, I have read enough books.” Father became angry. “Why do you have a spirit so weak? Even if it means I have to beg for money on the streets, I will send you two to school until you have both finished your studies!” And then, he started to knock on every house in the village to borrow money.

I stuck out my hand as gently as I could to my brother’s face, and told him, “A boy has to continue his study. If not, he will not be able to overcome this poverty we are experiencing.” I, on the other hand, had decided not to further my study at the university.

Nobody knew that on the next day, before dawn, my brother left the house with a few pieces of worn-out clothes and a few dry beans. He sneaked to my side of the bed and left a note on my pillow, “Sis, getting into a university is not easy. I will go find a job and I will send money to you.” I held the note while sitting on my bed, and cried until I lost my voice.

With the money father borrowed from the whole village, and the money my brother earned from carrying cement on his back at a construction site, finally, I managed to get to the third year of my study in the university. That year, my brother was 17 years old and I was 20 years old.

One day, while I was studying in my room, my roommate came in and told me, “There’s a villager waiting for you outside!” Why would there be a villager looking for me? I walked out, and I saw my brother from afar. His whole body was covered with dirt, dust, cement and sand. I asked him, “Why did you not tell my roommate that you are my brother?”

He replied with a smile, “Look at my appearance. What will they think if they would know that I am your brother? Won’t they laugh at you?” I felt so touched, and tears filled my eyes. I swept away dirt and dust from my brother’s body. And told him with a lump in my throat, “I don’t care what people would say! You are my brother no matter what your appearance.”

From his pocket, he took out a butterfly hair clip. He put it on my hair and said, ‘I saw all the girls in town are wearing it. I think you should also have one.’ I could not hold back myself anymore. I pulled my brother into my arms and cried. That year, my brother was 20 years old and I was 23 years old.

After I got married, I lived in the city. Many times my husband invited my parents to come and live with us, but they didn’t want. They said once they left the village, they wouldn’t know what to do. My brother agreed with them. He said, “Sis, you just take care of your parents-in-law. I will take care of Mom and Dad here.”

My husband became the directors of his factory. We asked my brother to accept the offer of being the manager in the maintenance department. But my brother rejected the offer. He insisted on working as a repairman instead for a start.

One day, my brother was on the top of a ladder repairing a cable, when he got electrocuted, and was sent to the hospital. My husband and I visited him at the hospital. Looking at the plaster cast on his leg, I grumbled, “Why did you reject the offer of being a manager? Managers won’t do something dangerous like that. Now look at you – you are suffering a serious injury. Why didn’t you just listen to us?”

With a serious expression on his face, he defended his decision, “Think of your brother-in-law, he just became the director. If I, being uneducated, would become a manager, what kind of rumors would fly around?” My husband’s eyes filled up with tears, and then I said, “But you lack in education only because of me!”

“Why do you talk about the past?” he said and then he held my hand. That year, he was 26 years old and I was 29 years old. My brother was 30 years old when he married a farmer girl from the village. During the wedding reception, the master of ceremonies asked him, “Who is the one person you respect and love the most?”

Without even taking a time to think, he answered, “My sister.” He continued by telling a story I could not even remember. “When I was in primary school, the school was in a different village. Everyday, my sister and I would walk for 2 hours to school and back home. One day, I lost one of my gloves. My sister gave me one of hers. She wore only one glove and she had to walk far. When we got home, her hands were trembling because of the cold weather. She could not even hold her chopsticks. From that day on, I swore that as long as I lived, I would take care of my sister and would always be good to her.”

Applause filled up the room. All guests turned their attention to me. I found it hard to speak, “In my whole life, the one I would like to thank most is my brother,” And in this happy occasion, in front of the crowd, tears were rolling down my face again.

Moral: Love and care for the one you love every single day of your life. You may think what you did is just a small deed, but to that someone, it may mean a lot. Some relations are made to be last longer but they need to be still nurtured with love and care

txt
The "R.ART" is the nickname for "Rukmini.arts" given by Rukmini Sharma for the beautiful arts that she did. The name itself created a brand for her arts.

Rukmini Sharma is a 3rd year CSE Student of our college. She is an exemplary artist. Her arts are magnificent. She started painting from her intermediate neither she went to drawing classes, nor she participated in any drawing competitions since her childhood, yet she learned everything on her tod.

When I asked her to say briefly about her journey as an artist she says

"Every child is born with some special skills. I would always like to do something artistic. Drawing used to be my hobby since my childhood. During my SSC vacations, I started doing arts watching YouTube videos and Google. Every artist is first an amateur, Firstly I started working on the scrap, Invested hours of work and a lot of love. sometimes I used to do night outs until I get a satisfying picture, which I will not do for my exams too. I drew a couple of paintings and used to show them to my friends and relatives. I started posting my paintings on my Instagram page "the.r. art", the happiness that I get, when people appreciate my work and praise me is peerless. "

When I asked her, how do you define art?

Don't tell Ganesha how big your problems are, tell your problem how big your Ganesha is...

As Lord Ganesha already started from the abode of gods and is on the way to reach us sooner on 2nd September to enjoy our regale and to listen to all our problems and solve them. I just went through my phone gallery to recollect my previous year's Ganesh Chaturthi memories to share with you all.

We celebrate this festival with great pomp and joy. Ours is a gated community with around 700 households staying together. So, I was a part of those members collecting Ganesh Chanda and with the collected money, we bought the idol of 5 feet height which was an eco-friendly one without colors and chemicals only that made of the clay.

On the day of the festival, I got up early in the morning took a head bath and wore new clothes, helped my mother in decorating the house by tying mano leaves to the doors and placing the lights all around the house. My mother cooked 5 different types of food to offer to Lord Ganesha and I and my mother together performed the puja in my house. After completion, I rushed to the place where my apartment Ganesha was placed.

Since it is an eleven-day festival, on the very 1st day we installed the idol of Ganesha, we read his story finished the puja and distributed the Prashad to all the members. Puja was a daily routine for 10 days except for the day on immersion.

I personally took interest and conducted a few cultural events and competitions like making children draw lord Ganesha and color them as well as Ganesh making activity where the participants need to make a small model of clay/mud Ganesha and also an essay writing competition to write about the significance of Lord Ganesha taking the position of a host and I have also participated in a few of them. With the remaining money, we distributed gifts to the children who won in the competitions conducted.

There were various events like singing, dancing, skit play, etc., continued for 10 days, We also offered lunch to all the residents on the last day of the festival where I myself took the opportunity to serve them. And the saddest part now is its time to immerse our Ganesha whom we prayed, played and adored for the past 10 days. Few guys played the game of breaking the earthen pots hung high and I danced like there's no tomorrow from the bottom of my heart with so much of energy and said bid adieu to my favorite Lord Ganesha promising him the same love, care, affection and offerings for the upcoming year.

So, I hope that the same amount of happiness and blessings I get this year too. Have a great Ganesh Chaturthi guys and please do use only eco-friendly Ganesh idols to save the water from getting polluted as we are already left with the less amount of water for the future generations and not the colors on the Ganesha's idol matters, it's your pure heart while praying him that does. Happy Ganesh Chaturthi in advance.

For always believing me whether i won or lost. For always being my side no matter what's the situation is. For proving me always how much you love me. But when i got my chance to prove my love for you , you drove me away to another house to live happily. You didn't gave me a choice to choose you rather than others. I Hate You for making me questioning myself everyday and everytime. I Hate You for becoming my first love that never ever ends. No man can live like an island.Humans are born to be social animals. They need relationships, affiliation , affection and love. Everything that humans do ,ultimately needs, uses or results in relationship with others. Any relationship two humans have will never remain the same. Human relationships are ever changing. Here the point to drive home is not just that people in the relationship change, but also value for the other person in the relationship changes. Again nature of the relationship between the same people may change due to factors both internal and external to the persons involved. Now change in a relationship may be positive or negative. People who improve human relationships are strong. They are the ones who resist the pressures from within and outside , to an adverse change. Lets take the example of a an employee who maintains certain relationships only for the reason that the person might be of some help to him or his corporation in future. Now can we call this a healthy relationship? May be and may be not. The relationship can be termed healthy as far as the person does not exploit the relationship for attaining his own goals but for the betterment of the two of them involved. So in a way, a healthy relationship is one in which both persons involved improve themselves and at the same time do not cause harm to others or the society either directly or indirectly by setting a bad example. In today's ever changing scenario where the world is a Global Village , culture is no more geography or religion specific . What might be a pure relationship in one place may not be so somewhere else or for somebody else. Like it is said in the Bible "To whomsoever it is unclean , to him it is unclean", sanctity of a relationship is to be left to the conscience of the persons involved in it. So as long as a relationship is giving happiness to the people in it and is spreading happiness to others around it may be called a healthy relationship which God will also bless. Taking a simple example of a father and a child, father's love is not to be seen in terms of how he caters to the wants of the child but how he manages to give only the good to the child. Talking about another relationship: between a wife and a husband, it is a healthy relationship if they feel that they are not sacrificing or compromising on things , but adjusting with each other for filling the relationship with love. Another relationship all humans cherish is that of friendship. You might have realized at some point of time in your life that however ugly your fiend might be you still love him/her the same and once you love truly whatever he/she does , it all feels right to you. That is the magic of love. So spread love and happiness.
"}]
Rang De Basanti

This film evoked a comparison between our freedom fighters and today's youth. It portrayed the leaders through the youth and made us realize there isn't much difference in them. Like our freedom fighters, our youth has rebels with good intentions too. The only difference lies in the things that restrict our freedom. It was the British then, it is our society's regressive minds now. But the fight in them, is the same. There is literally a lot, one could get from this film.

In the climax, when DJ (Amir Khan), Karan (Siddharth Suryanarayan), Aslam (Kunal Kapoor), Sukhi (Sharman Joshi) and Laxman (Atul Kulkarni) decide to stand against the injustice done to Ajay (R Madhavan), we see fighters in them. We see how these men, who played the freedom fighters planning an attack against the ones repressing their freedom, do something similar in reality.

Karan is one of the most beautiful characters altogether. He is a representation of youngsters who are often misunderstood. They are hurt but do not intend to cause pain, if anything, they only understand others better. He isn't impulsive as he seems. We know that from when Ajay proposed to Sonia (Soha Ali Khan) and Karan hid his feelings for Sonia so subtly that, even the audience fell in a dilemma. He doesn't get mad at them like a spoilt brat because he knows not everything has to go according to his will.

So when Karan decides to do something against his father in the end, it is definitely not a personal revenge for being abandoned and hurt since his childhood. Despite seeming oblivious to the world, Karan is as considerate as his buddies.

After watching lots of films with happy endings, we had a similar expectation from this film as well. But when Karan says, "Bachna hi hain toh, hum yahaan kyun aate te" (Why would we be here in the first place if we wanted to save ourselves?) while answering a person on radio, we had a prick in the heart.

DJ tries to keep everybody intact and they have already stomached the fact that they were not going to stay alive after that. They hug one another and the film ends with the most dreaded thing taking place.

We dreaded it more when Karan said, "Koi bhi desh perfect nahi hota hain, usse perfect banaana padta hain" (No country is perfect, we are supposed to make it perfect) because we didn't want to lose a sensible soul.

With all the boys coming together to smile at us reassuringly that everything will be alright with the nation in hands of more people like them and....leaving, we all carried ourselves out with heavy hearts, not knowing which is more worrisome, the future of this country or the dead dreams of all the people who fought for it.
