I lost my paternal grandparents few years ago and all that I am left with are my maternal grandparents who are teachers. My grandfather is a 70 year old retired government school headmaster and so is my grandmother who is about 65. <\/p>They have this strange habit of gifting us money whenever they visit us. This year during summer they visited us just for a day. To make them relaxed from the scorching heat they traveled in, I made them each a glass of lemonade as that was the best thing I could do in the kitchen! Then my sister and I sat with them and started discussing our recent accomplishments which were small but worth sharing with them.<\/p>It was evening and by then and my parents had returned from office and greeted my grandparents. Later, after dinner, we were just lazing around in the hall when we got an awesome idea of teaching my grandparents to transfer money through \u201cpaytm\u201d. Quickly we downloaded the app and taught them. Though they were ambiguous at first they slowly learned to do it on their smartphones which we had gifted them on their wedding anniversary. They also learnt to book a cab which was almost like teaching a baby to use a dictionary. We were so happy that they could learn it just within an hour\u2019s instruction and that was the end of the day. <\/p>Next morning by the time my sister and I woke up, my grandparents had already left for some family get together. That day when my mother returned from her office, we found a note on the bookshelf saying \u201copen the biggest book\u201d. We did, it was a dictionary to the irony, and we found three \u20b92000\/- notes inside that book. Immediately my mom called up my grandfather and asked if it was his gift. My grandfather gently replied \u201cpaytm may be useful but this is my style!\u201d My mother then burst into a huge laugh and said \u201cThis habit of yours has never changed since my childhood!\u201d<\/p>She then told the three of us who were already confused as hell that the bookshelf had always been my grandfather\u2019s favorite place at home to hide money. That is the reason behind me describing my bookshelf as \u201cobscurely wealthy\u201d. <\/p>"}]
