Sankranti is the festival of togetherness and delicacies. Makara Sankranti is also known as Makar Sankranti or Maghi. It is dedicated to deity surya.It is all about transmigration of sun from one rashi to another.

It is mainly three days festival. First day is called Bhogi, second is Makara Sankranti, third is Kanuma. At first day, it means on bhogi we all family members get up early in the morning and offer prayer to god. On this day me and my mother put colourful rangolis of bhogi kolam in front of the house and we prepare gobbemmalu and we'll place them on the rangoli and offer puja. My mother prepares delicious sweets on this day which is made up of til and jaggery.

On second day which is called as makara sankranti.All my family members will wore new dresses on this day mainly we prefer to wear yellow colour dresses. On this day we'll offer puja to our forefathers by offering different dishes. This day is very special for charity. We mainly donate wheat, rice, and sweets to needy. I and my mother puts beautiful rangolis on this day. My brother and my father enjoy the day by flying different kites on the terrace of our house. We offer rice to haridasuu on this day.

Third day is kanuma. We put rangolis related which is known as chariot kolams.So this is all about my memories during sankranti. I enjoyed my sankranti vacation very much this year and it has brought many colourful memories. 😊
