EAMCET COUNSELLING! Point of time in my life where I had to select a college on my rank basis. As I got good rank in Eamcet, I had many chances to get a good college. Finally I joined CVSR College of ENGINEERING. I travelled, I came, I myself went round the college, noticed many things, I saw on my left and right, there was no one beside me. Yeah! I came alone, not even with my father on the first day. Yeah! Iam very independent. When I was taking stairs, on the way to my class which was on 3rd floor, I saw Library on my left and English laboratory on my right. But I was not really feeling how good the library is and how good its infrastructure is. I was actually seeing a beautiful girl sitting and reading at a corner :-P

txt
rich_1458721176333

I attended classes regularly. For one month of time, it was like a seesaw, where I felt ups and downs in my life. Going to college, coming back to room, gaming, eating, sleeping, this is what I’ve done for the first one month. I did not understand why I was there in the college, why did I leave my parents and staying here and facing a troublesome life. But, I gained plenty of recognition for my efforts when I joined National Service Scheme. I attended NSS camps and I felt worthy joining it. When there was no one beside me, I found someone with whom I could pass my time, with whom I could share things, with whom I could be like ME. Jus ME. No acting and no dramas. We used to fight daily at least for ten times not even bothering about people who watch us. But even though we fought, we came close to each other during exams. We divided topics, we studied harder, we explained each other what we studied in particular time what we called it as our Target time.

txt
rich_1458721216556

She’s so called as my Study Partner. I used to wait for exams just to spend good time with her. In this way, all my semesters went well. There was no issue about my academics. But slowly everything changed. There were many reasons to change and I found her not very serious about her academics. But the thing I hate the most about myself is, Planning everything to study as soon as my semester starts, but ending up studying only before my exams. The thing that made me so happy in this past three years is when I felt that I have good leadership skills. I co-ordinated very well during AAGAMA 2K16. There are many people in my life but there will be only some people whom we really love to spend our time with. There are about five people like what I mentioned now. It was, It is, and It will be happy always, to be with them.

txt
rich_1458721252403

There’s only one more year left. I’m struggling through two types of thoughts. One is, When I think of my friends, fun etc I don’t want this college life to end. Secondly, When I think of how long should I live with my books, studies, etc I soon want to get settled in my life.
"}]
3 years passed and I can’t take it any more. What I learnt and what I did not, are no more kind of questions in my brain. What I want is to go back to October 2nd 2013. Oh yeah! I really want to go back. Strange experiences and facing new moments are lot better than facing a state of confusion running in my head right now about my career.

txt
rich_1458716512784

To make myself feel content, I have to put my pen on my paper to begin. The day I entered my college, walking through new roads, walking towards my block, walking with an aim, everything was amazing. But what made me feel so shy, so dumb, so nervous, that I was struck by fear on seeing all new faces in my classroom sitting so silent and paying attention to the lecturer. Oh my goodness! It was Physics class and the person who was teaching was our Principal. He’s aged but I loved to see him managing everything in a right way. I sat for a while and then it was our lab time. Everyone made new friends already and they started moving to lab in groups, talking, chit chatting and etc. But me, as I was very late for the college and it was actually my first day, had no friends to talk. It was our English lab. I found someone so active in the class, talking and disturbing everyone in the class. He is not a gadfly in the class, but I could say he is so friendly to everyone. He is Sai Krishna. I went and sat next to him. He asked me if I was new to the class. I said yes. He asked me if I stay in hostel. I said yes. I felt good when he was asking such questions when I felt a bit alone. He did something mischievous and when sir asked him, he said, it was me, who did that. I felt like ‘It’s over’ on my very first day. One day, we went out from the college to the nearby village. He took me to a shop and asked me whether I drink or not. I said ‘I came here to study and I don’t drink’.

txt
rich_1458716599828

I stayed in hostel for some months. My senior and I became friends since we were roommates in our hostel. I dint like anything there, I called my parents and asked them to take me back to home. Gradually things changed. Things I did not like are now the things I love the most. I found my best mate, named Krushival. We used to share our lunch box, sit in the same bench, talk for hours in the hostel and in the class and everything made me feel like I’m lucky enough. Our friendship grew slowly. Iam not blowing my own trumpet but Infact Iam a good singer. Everyone in the class identified it and started liking it. Apart from all these, my studies were normal. So, Iam not speaking anything about it. I play cricket, volleyball and basket ball in the college. The best thing our college offered us was taking to Survey of India, Geological Survey of India, Sewage treatment plants etc where we got some practical experience. College life gives us everything. Coin has two sides and so as the life, with good and bad. We definitely forget our lectures, our classes, we study for exams and the next day we forget them also, but what we truly enjoy is what we remember for our life time. -Thank you-
"}]

We loved each other , We fought for our love, We ran away from my home and got married. We are so happy that we won our love undergoing a lot struggle. The day he told me the news, I am the happiest person on the earth. He got his first salary, he bought me a ring. What else can make a woman empowered than getting loved by her one? But, I never thought that I will be the victim of our love. One day, he called for a party at our place. He invited his boss for dinner. The boss was so good and he smiled a lot, but I never understood the reason behind the smile. Arushi Dua, a law student from Delhi's National law university, has written an open letter to Mark Zuckerberg, The Co-Founder of Facebook to add a button called "On My Period" to facebook.

Dua's mere intention behind this letter is to change the mindsets of the Indians on Mensuration.

Here is the letter..

Sir,

I am Arushi Dua, an aspiring lawyer from New Delhi, India. I identify myself as a proud feminist and my intention and motive behind writing to you today is in furtherance of the same. Last night, as routine, I slept early with a plan in my mind for the next day. I woke up in the morning today with a schedule to follow, but as my uterus would have it, instead of energy and enthusiasm to start my day, I was woken up by severe cramps and fatigue.

Usually, I am able to sail through the day when my menstrual cycle kicks in but there are bad days and as a result, I was held back at home with my schedule shattered to the ground. I want to highlight the situation here in India about how menstruation is taken to be a taboo. For you are an influential man and in a position to broadcast, convince and make people listen.

Sir, you can help make a massive change in this regard. In India, women have always been on the receiving end. They have been suppressed and are taken to be lesser human beings than men. I am privileged to have had an awareness of this fact and be in a position to fight against it. Women are expected to bear children, failing which they are shunned and tortured. At the same time, no one wants to acknowledge and address the fact that women menstruate and it is completely healthy and natural. Some see menstruating women as “impure”.

Such an attitude is deeply engraved in our culture and ideologies. For example, people believe that menstruating women cannot cook, visit the temple, touch pickle as it will go bad, and a lot of other baseless myths . Another time when women are made to feel ashamed or conscious about menstruating is when one visits the market to purchase sanitary napkins. The seller would purposely either wrap the packet with newspaper or put it in a black bag. Why? Why does everyone get so uncomfortable about me purchasing a sanitary napkin? Should I be conscious about it? Is it bad to menstruate? Should I hide it too? This is the thought process of any little girl who has hit that stage of life where god has blessed her with a beautiful body and the ability to prepare for when she will be able to give life to another being.

The little girl is not strong and mature enough to fight such reactions yet. She does not know that menstruation is not bad or a matter of shame. Rather, it’s a healthy and a beautiful process. In rural India, girls have been skipping school for a week every month just because they are not sure or confident enough to step out during their cycles. Sir, this culture is making girls compromise on their education. This fact alone is indicative of the necessity to make immediate efforts to improve it. I know it is going to take time for people to change their attitude towards this subject and I will keep on working till I reach that day when one would celebrate when a girl menstruates. With the same objective in mind, sir, I have a request. You can make a massive contribution to this endeavour.

Facebook has come up with various features such as status updates, feeling XYZ, uploading pictures/videos. All these essentially enable a person to share with others her/his experiences and thoughts. I would like to suggest another mode of expression on such an influential social forum. A button right next to the status bar that says “on my period’/ ‘menstruating” through which women can share the fact with others with just a click. Other social forums have blatantly expressed their indifference and deliberately taken off posts of women who have tried to pursue this cause and classified them as “against community guidelines”. Facebook as a platform is highly influential and can majorly contribute on promoting a friendly attitude towards menstruation. I have approached you for help because I have confidence that Facebook is sensitive to such issues and will help promote a good cause.

This feature will encourage a healthy space where women can be confident about their periods. Also, others who are reading the posts will develop a level of comfort and realise that it is indeed not a big deal. This will hopefully lead to a change in the mindset of people and eventually myths floating all around will settle down. Sir, this hostile attitude towards menstruation haunts and affects women on a daily basis. It is time we fight it with full force. Please. A sincere request. I hope to hear from you on this issue.

I hope for a change.

Regards Arushi Dua

Now everyone awaits to see will Mark Zuckerberg listen to Dua’s please and introduce ‘On My Period’ button.
"}]

Friendship is one of the most precious gifts of life.

It makes life sweet and peasant experience. It can lead us to success and to doom. It all depends on how we choose our friends.

True friendship is a feeling of love, caring and sharing. It is a feeling that someone understands you and appreciates you as you’re without any exaggeration, flattery and pretensions. It gives you a feeling that you’re ‘wanted’ and that you’re ‘someone’ and not a faceless being in the crowd.

Friendship is necessary thing in every human’s life as name of us is self-assertive. You can share your feelings, frustrations and happiness with your friend.

Friendship isn’t about whom you’ve known the longest. It’s about who walked into your life, said “I’m here for you” and proved it’. Friendship has no age limit and friends are needed in every stage of life. as part of my life. This is how our friendship started. I met a guy of the class and was very ready always to be bullied. I thought this as strength that I could take the bulliness.

Anyways, it was a normal way. Suddenly, he goes like, “leave me alone”, to which the other guys reacted and caught him instead. Though he beaten up that day, he gave me a lesson that i shouldn’t let others bully me. We beat the be Jesus out of the guys the very next day and I being the sweet one, even complained about them to our class teacher. The teacher bought the story first fine. So, friends are most important ingredient in the recipe of life.

A true friend never lets us down even under most threatening circumstances, whereas fair weather friends are found only during sunny days. It does not matter how often you meet your friends but how much you care and feel for another in good times as in bad times.

“Willingness to compromise when can and persistence to rebuild friends is needed for a true and lasting friendship”.

True friendship can’t flourish. It is great assert in life.

Finally i would like to say that, “real friends don’t get offended when you insult them. They smile at you and call you something more offensive”.

They invite and bring all the people close to him and his family together.Meanwhile, there is been a lot of banter and chatter between the parents of these brothers. The interval ends up in giving us a hint of intense drama which is going to unfold in the second half.

The second half is dragged a bit.The second half gets more intense as film moves. It ends on a high and a happy ending.Every character has its own importance and the actors have contributed immensely to this movie.Alia Bhat fits into the role perfectly.Fawad Khan has done splendidly well along with Rishi Kapoor. The direction and screenplay are top-notch.

On February 20, 1962, John H. Glenn became the third American in space and the first to orbit the Earth when he successfully completed three orbits aboard the space capsule “Friendship 7.” In the midst of Cold War tensions and the very real fear that the Soviet Union was winning the space race, Glenn’s accomplishment brought a sense of pride and relief to Americans and instantly made the 31-year-old Glenn a national hero. On the 50th anniversary of this historic flight, here are seven things you might not know about Friendship 7 and its pilot, John Glenn.

txt
rich_1458577243372

1. John Glenn was a star before joining the Mercury program.

Glenn had fallen in love with flying at an early age, building model airplanes while growing up in Ohio. In 1941, Glenn discovered a U.S. Department of Commerce program looking for students to train as pilots. Just six months after Glenn received his license, the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor, and he enlisted and was eventually assigned to the U.S. Marine Corps. Glenn flew 59 missions in the South Pacific, where one of his wingmen was baseball legend Ted Williams. After serving in the Korean War, Glenn was appointed to a naval test pilot program, where he completed the world’s first supersonic transcontinental flight in 1957. Glenn received an enormous amount of publicity following this feat, which brought him to the attention of the NACA, the predecessor to NASA, who selected him to become one of the Mercury 7 astronauts

txt
rich_1458577343524

2. John Glenn gave his space capsule the name Friendship 7.

The official name for Glenn’s mission was Mercury-Atlas 6. “Mercury” for the mission program, itself named after the Roman god of speed, and “Atlas 6” to indicate that this was the 6th mission to use the new, faster Atlas rocket as a launch vehicle. As was common practice among most pilots, the astronauts selected for the Mercury program often gave their capsules personal nicknames–Glenn asked his children for suggestions on what he should name the vessel, finally deciding on the word “Friendship” and adding the number “7” to honor his fellow Mercury members.

txt
rich_1458577353113

3. Glenn’s mission was delayed numerous times, leading to concern and anxiety.

Originally scheduled for December and then pushed to January 13, problems with the new Atlas rocket that would serve as the space capsule’s launching pad caused a two-week delay. On January 27, with Glenn already onboard the tiny capsule, poor weather conditions forced another series of postponements. Television crews were already set up to broadcast from both the launch site and Glenn’s home, where his wife, Annie, and children were anxiously watching. When the mission was scrapped, the reporters, accompanied by none other than Vice President Lyndon Johnson, tried to gain access to Glenn’s home in hopes of interviewing his wife. Annie refused, and when John heard about the pressure put on his wife, he backed her up, leading to a clash with officials. The launch was delayed yet again on January 30, after a fuel leak was discovered, followed by yet another weather delay. Finally, with all mechanical issues solved and fair weather forecasted, Glenn was once again strapped into Friendship 7 early on the morning of February 20, 1962.

txt
rich_1458577374643

4. Glenn didn’t hear the words “Godspeed, John Glenn.”

Scott Carpenter, the backup astronaut for the mission, uttered the phrase most associated with man’s first orbit of the Earth. As mission control performed its final system checks, test conductor Tom O’Malley initiated the launch sequence, adding a personal prayer, “May the good Lord ride all the way,” to which Carpenter added, “Godspeed, John Glenn.” Carpenter later explained that he had come up with the phrase on the spot, but the phrase did have meaning for any test pilot and astronaut: “In those days, speed was magic…and nobody had gone that fast. If you can get that speed, you’re home-free.” The phrase became part of the public consciousness, however Glenn himself didn’t hear Carpenter’s comment until he had returned to Earth. Due to a glitch in Glenn’s radio, Carpenter’s microphone wasn’t on his frequency.

txt
rich_1458577410333

5. There were several scary moments aboard Friendship 7.

The launch of Friendship 7 went flawlessly, and Glenn encountered few issues in the early stages of the flight. During his second orbit, mission control noticed a sensor was issuing a warning that Friendship 7’s heat shield and landing bag were not secure, putting the mission, and Glenn in danger. Officials did not immediately inform Glenn of the potential problem, instead asking him to run a series of small tests on the system to see if that resolved the issue, which eventually clued Glenn in to their concerns. After a series of discussions, it was decided that rather than following standard procedures and discard the retrorocket (an engine designed to slow down the capsule upon reentry), Glenn would keep the rocket in place to help secure the heat shield. He successfully reentered the Earth’s atmosphere and splashed down in the Atlantic Ocean after a flight of 4 hours and 55 minutes. When officials inspected the recovered capsule, they determined that the heat shield had never been in danger and a faulty sensor had caused the problem.

txt
rich_1458577493218

6. The truth behind the mysterious “fireflies” that John Glenn saw.

During the first of Glenn’s three orbits, he reported seeing a series of small particles floating outside his capsule. As he reported to NASA, he had never seen anything like it, and he thought it looked like a series of stars were surrounding him. Glenn referred the specks as “fireflies,” and tried banging on his capsule walls to see if he could make them move, which he could. NASA scientists feared it was malfunctioning part of the space capsule, though some thought Glenn’s vision was caused by a medical condition he encountered while in space while others tried to find a more spiritual meaning to the celestial “fireflies.” So, what were they? The mystery was solved later that year, when another Mercury astronaut, Scott Carpenter, made his orbital flight aboard Aurora 7. Carpenter also reported seeing the particles, and to him the looked like snowflakes. Turns out, Carpenter was pretty close to the truth. They were indeed bits of frozen condensation on the capsules’ exterior that broke off as it moved from through areas of varying temperatures.

txt
rich_1458577449058

7. Glenn’s returned to space, 36 years after Friendship 7.

John Glenn remained with NASA until 1964, but did not return to space in any of the later Mercury missions. It is believed that President Kennedy and other government officials, well aware of the symbolic importance of the first man to orbit the Earth, ordered NASA to keep him grounded, for fear of his being injured or killed in a space program that was still, in many ways, in the developmental stage. Glenn returned to Ohio, where he became a successful businessman. He later entered politics, and was elected to the U.S. Senate in 1974, serving four terms. Glenn maintained close contacts with NASA, and spoke often of his regret at not having been part of subsequent missions, including the lunar landings. In 1998, however, John Glenn got his wish and returned to space. Though it had been more than 35 years since he had last suited up, Glenn was selected as part of the crew aboard the space shuttle Discovery. His participation, at the age of 77, would allow scientists to study the affects of space travel on the elderly. When Glenn returned from the nine-day mission, he and his fellow crew members were welcomed home with a ticker-tape parade in New York City, marking the second time Glenn had received such an honor.
"}]
