Reading is one of the best hobbies. But midnight reading has its charm. Sitting by the window sill with a mug of coffee and a book and getting lost in the book till the first rays of sunrise fall on you or sitting on a swing in the balcony and reading while observing the peace that comes at night with no traffics and cricket chirping at night with the light breeze of the night

One more advantage of midnight reading has is that no one would disturb you as everyone is asleep at that time. It's not just that there is no one to disturb you; even the atmosphere is very relaxing. It is a time everyone gets lost in dreams and you could live your dream at that time. It's not just about reading but you can also observe the beauty of nature at night.
Given that reading in dark spoils your eyesight, make sure the place you read has good lighting. Either it is a bedroom or balcony make sure you have good lighting around.

txt
Before you fight me with 'Kehna Kya Chahte Ho?' in the end, my answer to that will be, "Kuch Nahi".

This is merely an update about something well known to you but with a (very annoying?) bird's eye view.

Years ago, I have been to a food and games hangout spot for the first time. It was a place everybody spoke of greatly.

While my friends and I sat down to order food, I took a glance over the place. It was a terrace decorated with plants and "antiques". Almost all the decoration included a coated metal wire molded into various shapes while dim light bulbs hung over our tables. There were board games for the visitors to play and other games you can pay for to play. It was a chilled setting. Nothing felt rushed or serious (not even the food or games) There was (I'm guessing an old bicycle) hanging on the wall which I thought was cool. There was a lot of art on the walls and a shelf full of typewriters, old-fashioned telephones (none of which worked and I swear I did not bite the employees to show my disappointment).

What I intend to say from this is, any place we go to now, has a similar scene running.

There have been innumerable hangout spots and drive-ins budding since then. Countless cycles and Enfields have been being hung over the walls and it made me ponder over the reason behind sudden expansion of this industry.

Although it is certain that youngsters might nearly choose to hangout at eateries with a wider choice of food and entertainment, the rate of growth of these places is overwhelming. I say it is overwhelming because not all of these places are exactly spot on with the food or ambiance. Yet they have caught the attention of their customers.

The investment includes, permission to set up an eatery at the place, the rent of the place, salaries of the employees (cooks, cleaners), groceries and maintenance (electricity, water), which is relatively less if you compare it with any other industry that is making it huge.

With the rising population, the price of the land has been increasing and the eateries have succeeded in managing themselves within smaller areas. Moreover, even a tiny bit of creativity could lead you to places and the art is one of the factors which keeps the places lively and economical when it comes to expenditure.
It is more like a one-time investment for long-run gains and it is a change that has been a part of our lives since the past few years.
Also considering the fact that these spots are mostly for meetups, they do not really need too much of equipment to entertain people, there are some great places with simple food, great chai, wooden benches and deewans which didn't have to destroy the greenery around them just to decorate the place with artificial creepers, which have a lesser or about the same investment yet have a greater impact over people. The sole reason is the difference between places that entertain people who come over and the places that let people interact.
While our good old meeting places give us an opportunity to spill tea (literally and figuratively) with our buddies in the breezy evenings, the eateries and drive-ins introduce us to a wider range of food.
We need both and although it seems simple, considering the management of these places within minimal areas which have now become the go-to locations for many, they have been one of the smartest ideas.
The constant demand and supply of food, entertainment and relaxation is what keeps this industry lucrative and I can't wait to see what the next considerable inclusion is going to be.
#Food_and_more_food
"}]

Recently while I was going through the advertisements of various colleges and universities one thing that i found common is that they all based their case upon the placements that their students recieved and next to that is how well they established diplomatic relations with some universities abroad and the next thing is the number of faculty who have PhDs. Then for a moment i rethought what an university is, then simply to my mind I thought these were some consultation places where i would invest some money to learn a course and then return with a package that sets and suits my investment, everyone these days talk about RoI as of they were buying some commodity. In today's world education has become some commodity that we all invest now and benefit later only in economic terms. This is a radical shift from what we had envisioned of universities, the justification made by these universities are tailor made answers which they go on talking about how we must be industry ready and how we must change according to the industry needs. In this process we developed a hierarchical system where we see technical and management education as pivotal and literature, polity, anthropology as less grade subjects. Our universities made this look absolutely fine and we were conditioned throughout our upbringing that those disciplines of study that yields you more money are greater. In this process we even developed a hierarchical structures in the job roles and the packages that we get if one takes up those jobs and we look at up to those jobs which pay us greater. This is one of the main reason why India is unable to produce some high quality research outputs maybe in science or in social science we find people who are demotivated and have no other options left knock the phd door. These were the ones who again come and teach at various positions in many universities. Often we don't question the quality of the work that they had done during their phd time but we just look at upon the degree that was conferred to them by many universities. This is a cycle where demotivated students along with uninteresting teachers sit together and have their classes, everything is just focused on input and output basis. Everything is linked to what skills are they developing in the field of study that their took up in the university and make them match to the industry needs.

But this is not what we expected a university to be, we expected a university to be a temple of knowledge where knowledge flows freely without any barrier and students are given a choice to express themselves without any grain of fear. We expected our universities to be a place which constantly motivates students to think critically but in this whole placement scenario we lost the essence of critical thinking, we were moulded so that we submit ourselves to the HRs of various companies that visit our universities every year.

txt

Social consciousness is seen as a hindering to the technical knowledge that is gained in the university. Even students tend to believe in the notion that students who are raising the voices against the establishment in many public universities including JNU, HCU and Hyderabad's own Osmania University are just who complain and rather don't involve in finding the solution and many times they are just motivated politically, although not everything is wrong here but students must understand that these spaces are open for academic and healthy discussions where students come up with questions which really challenge the people who are in office. Showing dissent is not seen as defaming the University there, places like us consider dissent is defaming university. Due to the public funding nature of the universities the spirit of questioning and thinking critically are still alive and with the current situation i think they will vanish sooner or later. When Rohit vemula incident happened in HCU, many universities in Hyderabad advertised that their campuses are apolitical and show zero tolerance towards who opens their mouth and speak political language. In this world of little smiles and tolerance we expect our own universities to be that space which everyone aspires for.

txt

As our former president pranab mukherjee said to a gathering of students that students who study engineering these days are going and working in a detergent company to boost their sales, and when i asked many of my friends who study engineering they didn't find any problem working for a detergent company in their sales department and even added many FMCG companies visit their campuses and recruit many students in strategy, sales and marketing departments. These days education is just brought down to how good one is to fit in any MNCs. We were trained in such a way that for us to study the only motivation is marks and jobs. We were never introduced to Tagore's poems or js Mill's liberalism or even we didn't study Gandhi beyond satyagraha and khadi. We were never made to enjoy and take a ride in the real academic world. Even the talks we have while having chai and samosa are often put to threat by administration putting up notices that they will shut down the canteens. And hope is the last thing that many students are living with in these kind of campuses and just 4 months to pass by this year we hope atleast next year our administration recognises this silent fight and make our university great again where our heads are held high without any fear.

txt
Bounce-Back to life.

CMRCET is surrounded by many hangout spots for students to socialise, foodies to relish their food and social butterflies to keep their followers on Instagram and Snapchat updated. But the one close to our hearts is Bounce. Well! quite literally because our wallets are close to our hearts.

Bounce is one of the best places to spend time with friends. Playing Jenga with friends or hosting a pool side party or watching a cricket match with friends or even reading a book alone, this place has the right ambience for everything.True to it's name, Bounce lets you take your mind off from all the assignments, projects and exam stress.

The place has a spacious dining area with very high ceiling, rustic decor, comfortable seating, almost all tables are different from each other. It has largest screen to watch live sports. Rooftop has a separate play area with games like snookers, football, cricket. It has an indoor pool, play stations and other indoor games like jenga, UNO. It also has an amazing collection of books for all the bookworms.

Bounce has some amazing backgrounds for everyone's instagram handles. The wings background is everyone's favorite. It also has some unique show pieces on display. One definitely has to admire the designer's attention to detail. The lighting is perfect for pictures.

It has expansive food menu that includes food from Hyderabad’s best brands that include House of Dosas, Khoune Xpress, Giani, Hyderabad Bread Company, Wok Republic and Tales of Biriyani. The menu is expansive but expensive. It might leave a whole in your pockets, and hopefully not hearts. I personally feel the food is overpriced.

Acting is not about being famous, it's about exploring the human soul.

Ajith Cheekurthi a 3rd-year student from the Ece department has a huge number of fans for his acting. He is the star tik-toker of our college attracting everyone with his dubsmashes and making them fall in love with his expressions.

His first dubsmash was portrayed when he was in his 12th standard. It was a comedy clip insisted by one of his friends to enact just for fun. He found himself enjoying while doing so and he just made it a part of his daily routine acting at least once in a day in his free time. He actually wanted to build his career in the acting side that's one of his main reason to do dubsmash every now and then.

He strongly believes that acting is not just related to face it is more to do with the heart. When you own the situation, when you place yourself in that particular character's shoes then automatically you start to live in the situation is what he says. Now he is a very good actor and played the main role in a short film which was not released due to some issues, but must say he is a king expression maker.

He can act professionally and mold himself into any genre of movie dialogues, comedy scenes, love songs, etc. Though he may not really land up in the acting profession, it always remains close to his heart and he would cherish these memories of acting for the whole lifetime.

Look at his amazing acting,spellbound!!

txt
rich_1566841832962

India is a developing country rich with its heritage and culture .Everything

in India is governed by the Government bodies of the Central, state , district, etc hierarchy . As days go by , Indian citizens are being more and more affected by the adverse nature of things happening in the country. Even though it feels like everything is going smoothly as all of may not experience the exact situation as others do , we may not know what exactly was happening in the country at that particular time .India is such a country which is prone to disasters on a very large scale , hence we do not know what disaster may arise in a single moment . Well , do u think disasters are always about the earthly ones ?dont you think disasters may also be mental and psychological ?Well the biggest disaster in India arises due to the power of man……and that disaster is named as CORRUPTION.

rampant corruption has stunted the country's development. In 2008, a report showed that about 50% of Indians had first hand experience of paying bribes or using contacts to get services performed by public offices, however, in 2018 their Corruption Perception Index ranked the country 78th place out of 180 most affected countries in the world. From the above reports we can infer that the root causes of corruption in India are bribery, Cronysim,Kleptocracy, competition among political leaders ,electoral fraud,Nepotism,Slush fund and political scandal.

Both government regulators and police share in bribe money, to the tune of 43% and 45% each, respectively. Officials are alleged to steal state property. In cities and villages throughout India, groups of municipal and other government officials, elected politicians, judicial officers, real estate developers and law enforcement officials, acquire, develop and sell land in illegal ways.

In Government Hospitals, corruption is associated with non-availability/duplication of medicines, obtaining admission, consultations with doctors and receiving diagnostic services. Agents are the channels of corruption in this bureaucratic driver licensing system, facilitating access to licenses among those who are unqualified to drive. These are few examples as to how corruption takes place in India.

Black Money

Black money refers to money that is not fully or legitimately the property of the 'owner'.There are two sources of black money in India .The first source includes activities not permitted by the law such as drug trade and crime. The second one includes wealth that may have been generated through lawful activity but accumulated by failure to declare income and pay taxes. Some of this black money ends up in illicit financial flows across international borders, such as deposits in tax haven countries. Another issue is that Indian companies are misusing public trusrs for money laundering.

Anti- corruption efforts

Finally , it is the responsibility of the citizens to reduce corruption and make our country corruption- free from all corners, although the government has been doing its part by passing some anti- corruption laws such as IPC of 1850 and The Prevention of Corruption Act of 1988 and many more .

Coclusion

“Power does not corrupt ,fear corrupts ,the fear of a loss of power …”

txt
India has seen a healthy rise in the number of its women indulging in sports. Through the last decade, we've seen quite a couple of women putting their best foot forward and breaking the stereotypes that women wanting to pursue a career in sports are surrounded with. One of these women is P.V.Sindhu, an Indian professional badminton player.

Her parents have been national level volleyball players but she picked badminton after getting inspired by seeing the success of her present coach Pullela Gopichand, the 2001 All England Open Badminton Champion. She had started playing Badminton at the age of eight. She had initially learnt the basics of the sport from Mehboob Ali in the courts of Indian Railway Institute Of Signal Engineering and Telecommunication, Secunderabad. She then moved to Pullela Gopichand's Gopichand Badminton Academy. I had stumbled upon an article that quoted the fact that she never used to report late to her training despite having to travel about 56kms from her residence to the academy. Her commitment and determination towards the sport have always been the primary reasons for the success that she holds today. Pullela Gopichand has often said that Sindhu's attitude and her never-say-die spirit have played a major role in shaping her sports career.

Being just 24, she holds myriad titles (including Padmashri, the fourth highest civilian honor of the country) that she has achieved all along through her hard-work and the recent feather to her cap is the prestigious BWF championship that she's won. She's the first Indian to have won this world championship. She also holds a place in the Forbes list of "Highest-paid female athletes 2019."

Wanting to pursue an unconventional career has not been anything short of a fire-walk for young women across the country. Post Sindhu's success, she's become the prime example that women can catalyst through their career-discussions. Not only women, people in general who have the zeal to achieve bigger things in life often walking the road not taken, can quote P.V.Sindhu's journey to be their inspiration. Working through every mental and physical hurdle that stood in her way, she managed to shut every mouth that says women cannot compete with as much strength as men.

Being independent financially is another way that P.V.Sindhu serves as an inspiration for all the young women. It is important to realize that financial independence is an important criteria to cater to our own needs and choices without the fear of being abandoned.

“There will be many obstacles in the pursuit of your dreams. I had long hours of training, balancing studies and badminton.” said P.V.Sindhu in one of her interviews, telling us how "not giving up" is the first choice that we must make. We all sometimes think of pulling off things and later get disheartened with every little hardship that we face (both mentally and physically), but that's not how we go about something that really makes us scream our lungs out, persistently.

There is one particular thing that she's said which makes a very strong impact- “The greatest asset is a strong mind. If I know someone is training harder than I am I have no excuses.” Being aware of your competition and tackling it in a healthy manner is something that we must carry with us, consciously. Her consistency and her confidence (not overconfidence) have shown us how far can the way we look at ourselves and motivate ourselves play a key role in building constructive lives.

Strive and work harder each passing day to 'prove yourself to yourself' and simultaneously, to the world. Being a 'woman' must rather be a blessing than a hurdle. Also, regardless of your gender, her perseverance and commitment are something that we all must try and inculcate in ourselves.

Her racket does the talking for her and let your weapons in your respective fields of battle, do the talking for you.

She's an extremely humble person even with all the fame and success that she owns. This is a picture of when I had met her in a restaurant last year. She was so patient with everyone who came forward to talk to her/ click pictures with her.

"Win or lose, I always focus only on giving my 100 percent. " Such a great spirit of an energetic and dedicated player had brought great pride to India. Exactly, I am talking about the young energetic badminton player P.V. Sindhu... who had created history by becoming the first-ever Indian to claim gold in BWF World Badminton Championships!

This also shows the way our country is progressing, slowly but surely. It's obviously the strong power of nation - The girl power! Young girls... whatever their goal be... had a lot to learn from P.V. Sindhu.

txt
rich_1566573792563

Following the passion...

Many of us go on in the same route without making an attempt even to know inner potentials, passions indeed. Many a time we follow the same paths... killing all our desires. This may give you some sort of happiness but not true satisfaction. In this regard... The daughter of two-star volleyball players, Sindhu took up badminton at a very young age, inspired by Pullela Gopichand. The point is... getting influenced by others is a good thing... but knowing your passions by getting inspired from others... is the thing that makes difference.

txt
rich_1566573792564

Fighting the odds...

Sindhu had won two bronze medals at World Championships even before she made a Superseries final. At 22, she became the first-ever Indian female athlete to win a silver at the Olympics. However, the lack of a gold medal in her illustrious CV was highlighted more often than not.

There were many critics... like "Sindhu is not yet gold standard." The main problem of the society is...they focus on discouraging rather on encouraging! They underestimate the talents!!!

Thus, fighting all through the odds and never losing confidence; with strong perseverance and dedication... Sindhu had finally proved herself!

txt
rich_1566573792565

Bringing proud moments to parents...

Sindhu dedicated the gold medal- to her mother!#Her Mother's Birthday

Parents always wish to see their children self-reliant and successful. But the thing that they hide is... their recognition through their children's success! When coming to their daughters, they expect more... because daughters for sure are the loved ones... From being career-oriented to striving for the unreachable heights to achieve her goal, would surely boost the confidence of parents and it must be the prior duty of us!

txt
rich_1566573792566

Power of EmPOWERMENT

Yes... we all have been hearing the terms like empowerment... But it's a great achievement if the journey of our career becomes the real empowerment to many. P.V. Sindhu's achievements and her journey so far... is an incredible and great inspiration. How today we are taking her as an ideal role model... as the time passes champions like her will always serve as the much-needed inspiration!

"I won for my country, I am really very proud," said an emotional Sindhu wearing a satisfied smile on her face. This satisfaction of serving the Nation is a big achievement!!!
"}]
