Many in our country are turning into Arm Chair Critics, where they are limiting themselves to Social Media to vent out on issues. The Power which we have in our hands is to vote. The Relevance and Importance of Exercising a vote should be inculcated in today's voters.

Silence of a good person is more dangerous to a society than actions of a wrong person. People should voice out their opinion in the form of their Vote rather than a status. People participate in online polls but they don't put an effort to register for the vote and come out to exercise their vote when it is needed.

On this occasion, let's take this into youth of our country, to highlight the importance of registering as a voter and exercising their rights when the time comes. We need to create more tougher laws to make more people vote and connect it with their Aadhar card or other benefits which they accrue from the Government.

As we all celebrate National Girl Child Day today, I remember my childhood where innocently I have asked my mother why don't we have a sister at home. A home without a girl child is considered never complete due to several reasons.

A journey from a girl to a woman is quite a story in itself. The transformation through the journey is what makes a real woman. Understanding the journey of a woman from a man's perspective, is an experience in itself.

When I was a kid, the first major impression I had was of my grand mother running the house. A women power personified was in the form of my granny, she used to be the strict lady and show the affection in the same manner. There were extreme emotions expressed based on the situation. She was respected by everyone and all major decisions were taken by her at our place. Leadership wasn't asked by her, she got it coz of her innate talent. My mother was a perfect example of a woman who was balancing her household chores and our education.

In School, we had teachers who were role models to us, as they run their individual homes and take care of our education as part of their profession. Woman are the real multitaskers.

Story of a Girl is still an enigma to me. In our young days, we celebrated Kalpana Chawla success as the first big leap in space exploration, First Weight lifting Medal in Olympics by Karnam Malleswari, Sania Mirza in tennis, Saina Nehwal in Badminton and many more. All these achievements were great inspiration to girl children around us.
