LIBERTY
This is the story of every girl of this generation
Liberty.. in true sense.. is state of being free in the society, without any restrictions.
U may have all the freedom to find our love/ life partner... Actually u should.. because till then no can rule your life... u can make your parents understand.. or fight.. cry.. threaten, what not.. because they are your parents.. their love is unconditional.. they want to see you happy.. ultimately they may accept your choice... or else you are even ready to forget them.. for your love.. this is all because u feel that you have that right to choose
But true story starts when u use this freedom... Once u use this freedom... Forget all other things of your life.. your friends, family, WhatsApp, facebook, instagram, your dressing style, your way of talking, your ideas, your opinions your feelings, emotions and yourself..forget that you are a human being...
You are called a whore.. if u talk to boys (Be that of any age..) you cannot wear what u want .. u cannot speak what u want .. u cannot go anywhere you want to....
And u you knw... These are all for your safety...because.. u should be safe and it is absolutely ok if you are not happy... You are not doing anything for anyone.. it is just for your safety...
U can forget your parent's anniversary... Bt donnot do a sin of forgetting your partner's routine..
Please donot help our mother in the morning... because u didnot have enough sleep lastnight.. begging for freedom..
You are ready to listen everything which no girl on this planet wants to... But u have all the liberty to take out that frustation on your mother.. whose greatest mistake is to call you to have food.
Please girls.. donot allow any one to judge you on little things.. you are no less than a man.. Donot beg for your own freedom.. fight for it...kick that person out of your life
The hallmark of true love is liberty..not the suppression of true sel for or by another.. love can never possess, love is giving freedom to the other, love is the unconditional gift, it is not a bargain
The moment we let go..... Is the moment we find freedom
ZERO CONTROL: That is true love.. Real love is freedom

1503119564697
txt"}]
"Congratulations! You've made it this far."

Working relentlessly and tirelessly for the couple or more years, you've now entered the college that you deserved. Deserved, because you've outdone umpteen number of your fellow competitors and finally raced to the end with flying colors. Not necessarily the college or the discipline that you aspired to be in at the first place, but it's high time you move on with what's in your hand. Sounds a bit bitter to your part but it's better to focus on building it up from now on rather digging out the regrets of the past.

For a freshman stepping into the college, it's important that one acknowledges his/her efforts being made by far and prepare themselves for the next big thing in their life. Their primary purpose from here is to graduate with a Bachelor's degree, preferably with good grades. However, that isn't the sole aspect that your college covers.

College is the place where you build yourself all-around. Be it your personality, skills or interpersonal relationships, these are all the criterion that one should look forward to in their college years. For all such developments, the students ought to participate in the various student committees of the college. And this participation accounts for your discipline, hard work, and the enthusiasm to contribute towards your university and at the same time, improving yourself. But you aren't in the college to do all these things at the first place, right?

The quintessential manner to utilize this time of your life completely is to strike a perfect balance between academics and the extra-curricular. Both are equally important for you in the long run and you shouldn't let go of these years overlooking either of them. Instead, invest your time in the activities that you believe should be useful for you in your life ahead.

Rather than *only* binge watching all the Animes, or playing Video Games, or using your PC for other 'healthy purposes', get involved in some social exercises. Meet new people, interact with your seniors who've been in your shoes before some years back. Get to know about what to prioritize when and identify what should be your stoichiometric composition of reactions in order to bring out your Balanced Equation.

'Cause the more you know about life, the better you live it.
"}]
In the year 2016, the video game industry hit a total turnover of a whopping $91 billion and shows absolutely no signs of stopping. Starting only a few short decades ago, advancements in technology and increasing ease of access to computers and home consoles lead games to become more complex as the years went by, turning from something as simple as a Pong game into full blown experiences like today's' multi million dollar projects like Grand Theft Auto, Red Dead Redemption, The Last of Us, and also spawned an entire new genre in sports called eSports.

However, gaming remains somewhat of a niche in India. While the percentage of the population that had access to and played video games has been quite limited, this number is growing, and it is about time that India joins the world in not just playing games, but making them. Many studios have popped up around India, making their mark on the game development scene, but one studio has set its sights on achieving something much greater. Today, we interview the developers behind Raji: An Ancient Epic, Nodding Head Studios.

Speaking with stuMagz over the phone, game designer Avichal Singh took us through the story of the development so far, and the road ahead.

"On New Year's Eve of 2013, I was in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan, visiting its many forts," Avichal begins, on being asked how the idea behind the game came to be, "I was completely enchanted by the architecture of the forts and started to think, it would be a fantastic idea to have a game in this setting."

It was then, after being moved by the architecture and history of Rajasthan, that Avichal along with Shruti Ghosh and Ian Maude, started Nodding Head studios together.

"It took a few short years but we came together and formed the studio," Avichal says, "today we are a team of 7 working on the game, and we've been working a lot," he laughs.

While Avichal is the Game Designer, fellow founders Shruti Ghosh and Ian Maude are Game Artists. The rest of the team has Paras Chaudhary as Programmer, Anirudh Singh who is a Concept Artist, Himanshu Thakur as Animator and Linus Tezlos, the Sound Designer and Composer.

Speaking about the game, Avichal says "We wanted to put India on the map with this game. The early concept art we showed to friends and family amazed them and we thought, yes we have something good on our hands. Some of the concept art you can see on our website and Facebook page has been done by hand by Shruti herself. It is quite a personal project."

Talking about the distinctive Indian feel of the game and how it was achieved, Avichal says, "The forts of Rajasthan played a major role in the design of the world, we knew we had to take it to the world. The initial response even on social media has been quite encouraging."

The isometric view gameplay of Raji: An Ancient Epic, will feature environmental puzzles and a fluid and gritty combat system, "Raji is blessed by the gods in the game and has access to different weapons. We're also adding a power system as well as a Favour of the Gods feature which basically means Raji will get different powers depending on which gods she chooses to favour," Avichal explains, "The combat will have a weight to it depending on the weapon you're using. In the early screenshots, you can see Raji use a Trishul, but there will be more weapons as you progress."

An element of strategy is also involved as Raji, and by extension, the player will have to choose the enemy she takes on first in a fight where she's outnumbered.

The story, as Avichal explains to us, is quite simple, "There's an invasion of the demonic horde, and when she wakes up the world as she knows it has changed, and her brother is missing. At its core, it is a story of a sister looking for her brother, a sibling story if you will," he says, "we didn't want to go with the cliche damsel in distress story and wanted to do something different."

As our interview draws to a close, we ask Avichal which games the team draws inspiration from, "I would say Bastion," referring to a critically acclaimed and universally loved isometric adventure game developed by Supergiant Games, "and Journey. Journey has been a major inspiration because of how it handles its world and just how beautiful it is." We concur, Journey, a PlayStation exclusive, has been an emotional experience to many players, and it is one of those games one must play to truly experience, there are no words to describe it.

Asking about the potential release date of Raji: An Ancient Epic, Avichal says, "I'd say the first quarter of 2019. We're going on Kickstarter this November to raise funds and continue developing. We are very excited for people to see more of the game and play it soon."

Depending on whom you ask, gamers will tell you that games have transcended being simply 'fun' and have become art, a great example of this is the aforementioned Bastion, which combines beautiful art with fun gameplay and is a game which we highly recommend. Raji: An Ancient Epic is perhaps the first game we've seen that has felt so very distinctly Indian and we absolutely cannot wait for the game to release.

I suppose it worked out in Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose's favour that the name of Hitler is not as reviled as it should be in India. Hitler's name, in India, is used to refer to a strict disciplinarian instead of a mass murderer who subjected an entire religious community to torture and death.

Nationalists today will puff their chest up proudly and say he did the right thing when it comes to fighting for the Independence of our nation, but intellectuals have constantly debated his actions for the decades to come. Bose was what every young man and woman of the time had to be in an India under control of the British: a nationalist who longed to see an India free from the yoke of the British empire. When the second World War broke out, and after the mass extraction at Dunkirk, the Netaji traveled to Germany in 1941 to seek help from Nazis in order to drive the British out of India.

The Nazis, who believed in the superiority of their race and genes, only saw a means to damage the largest British colony in the world and agreed to help Netaji, establishing a radio station from which he broadcasted nightly. By May 1942, the only time Hitler and Bose met, it had become clear that the Japanese advancement in the South East Asian sector meant the Germans could focus their war efforts in Europe and look further North towards Russia ,who was giving them the fight of their lives.

txt
rich_1534585474912

Chandra Bose identified strongly with the Axis powers, a fact for which I have a difficult time digesting his legacy, but his goal was to liberate India. Perhaps he had grown tired of Mahatma Gandhi's efforts, and I don't exactly blame him for wanting to use an armed force to take over the country instead of Gandhi's pacifist ideology, one that would go on to inspire Reverend Martin Luther King Jr. and Nelson Mandela. I suppose it was lucky that our country was formed on the backs of a leader so steadfast in his opposition to violence, he stood in the way of religious rioters and dared them to kill him instead of someone who believed in a different god than them.

Despite Bose's alignment with fascists, ironically the kind of fascists that would have killed him for the colour of his skin, he remained a popular figure during the freedom struggle. He gave us the 'Jai Hind' cry that still resonates to this day, and talk to the average Indian citizen about Bose and they'll talk to you about their admiration to the man who rubbed shoulders with the most reviled man in History.

But it is history now, back then it was time for desperate measures, or so he believed. I believe that fascists, Nazis in particular, need to be crushed wherever they appear, but it has always troubled me when I think of the Netaji's choice: how desperate a man could have been to go to the enemy of all humanity to bargain for our freedom. Would we really have been a free country had Nazis taken over our country?

In a way, I'm glad the Netaji failed, but I still remember him for his peerless dedication to the nation. But if it were up to me, I would rather die a slave than be one to the Nazis.
"}]

We live in times when the President of the United States has difficulty saying 'Nazis are bad', the President of a country which joined the World War late and yet sent its men to the beaches of Normandy to win the war not just for themselves, but for all the world. It was perhaps the only time in modern history that Communist Russia and the United States had come together to fight a common enemy, Nazis who believed in their superior genes, called themselves the Master Race and believed every other race to be sub-human and unworthy of the same rights as themselves.

Considering the recent murder of Heather Heyer, the 32-year old anti-White Supremacy protestor by a 20-year old Nazi, it is time to remind ourselves once again that there is no such thing as a good Nazi and that if you are not white, they will attack you. The more pressing concern at the moment, however, is how the Indian student community in the various colleges across the United States is handling the stark resurgence of racism and the marching of Nazis on the streets of Charlottesville, with more planned soon.

Every year, India sends over 1 lakh students to the United States for their Masters program in the various universities around the country. The number peaked at around 1,65,000 students in the academic year of 2015-2016, the highest number of Indian students to ever go to the US in a single year. Needless to say, our young students are everywhere, which also means they are also in close proximity to white supremacists and Nazis who attribute their personal failures on immigrants such as the international student community.

I'm not here to tell you to go out into the streets and fight against this gross injustice, against people who believe they are the victims when in fact they have been the oppressors for centuries, I won't even tell you what you should be believing or not believing. Standing up for your own rights is not something that comes easy, especially considering that the people most likely to go to the United States are those who are privileged here in India, which means they never really had to fight for their rights as they had everything given to them.

The impact of the current boiling point situation in America, however, does fall upon education. Students are scared and I don't exactly blame them for that. When you've got killers marching on the streets, you are bound to be scared.

I am here to tell you to be brave in times like these when everything seems bleak and surreal. I'm here to tell you that it is okay to be scared, and that being scared is exactly why you must find it in your heart to stand up for yourself. There is no 'both sides are bad' rhetoric left when one side wants to kill you for who you are. Stand up and fight back, but only if you want to.

But there will always be people like Heather Heyer who will not be afraid to stand up for you, defend you and fight back for you. We must not let the hatred of Nazis win, for most of us students are just there to study and learn from the halls of learning that have made a name for themselves as places of tolerance where every student, no matter what their skin colour, is equal.

Education has always been the key to equality, and it has also represented equality across the world and in America. Education in these times of turmoil must be a reminder to all that we cannot afford to let an ideology that does not consider us human should not be allowed to win.

Hi everyone,

There lived a boy who was eldest of all in his family, following norm that his siblings will follow his footsteps which was absolutely gruesome norm of society, I call it a "myth". He was good at everything except academics which was the only reason he had been pressurised by his parents. It was not that his parents didn't want him happy, but they had to put up a show in front of the 'society', which only seemed to care about their marks and nothing else.

This boy on the other hand was mischievous as others at his age and he was introvert or afraid that he could not express his desires to his own family. He started blaming himself for all the rejections of his life as he had been forced to accept that not only by family but also by society. Society pointed fingers at him and called him a failure, a good for nothing waste of space just because he didn't meet their definition of success and his parents, instead of standing by him, stood aside and let society attack him. He got into depression at an early age which destroyed not only his life but would also destroy life of his offspring.

This happens every now and then in our life, you may encounter any such boy or girl next door. I felt this may lead to many serious issues as it effect mentality of a human.

The only reason to share this is to make a point that "not every depression is inbuild - it can be inculcated through society"

And for the one who experienced any such thing repeat to yourself "you cannot b replaced by anyone and no one can step into your shoe".

"}]
The person whom I have always looked upon and who is my inspiration is an aunt in my neighborhood back in my hometown. She is a single mother raising her two children and is the best example of how strong a women can be. I would like to share her story with you all..SHE was the youngest girl among the four siblings. So she was always pampered and loved the most. As a child and a teenager, she was extremely beautiful, talented in all aspects and very good academically. She always dreamed about being happily married and living a dreamy life with her family. She was married after her college and had two lovely children. She was living her dreamy married life but only to our eyes.. “Now also it's hard for me to understand why she lied about her dreamy life..”It was during the marriage of her cousin that we suspected something was wrong. The marriage preparations were going on full speed And the family members had arrived. Everyone looked happy from the outside but the truth was different. All were worried to the core of their hearts because aunt had not come to the marriage of her favorite brother. No one was able to get in contact with her or her husband for over a month now. When asked to her in-laws they were also clueless about their whereabouts.

“When ever we talk to nani (aunt’s mother) about those days, she still gets speechless and her eyes become moist...”The marriage ceremony ended. The bride came home and slowly a year passed but there was no news about the families little princess.

One day a call came to the elder son of that family from an unknown number. It was aunt and she was crying. Both the brothers went there immediately and brought their little sister home. She had changed a lot. It was clear just by one look at her that she have suffered a lot and was in very much pain. Even her children looked like they are about to die.

For days she didn't said anything but slowly she calmed down and stated opening up (the family's love was the miracle that helped her relax and get a hold of herself). Then she told everyone about her so called happy married life and it was devastating….

Everything was going fine with the marriage until they had their first child, a boy and they moved to another city, just the 3 of them, for a better job and better lifestyle. There her husband started drinking a lot and now and then he would slap aunt if she tried to stop him. This continued for years. The drinking increased and so did the violence. They had their second child, a girl somewhere during those years. The family moved to a new place due to work and things started getting worse. A time came when her husband stopped going to work. He would just drink and go to places that are, let's just say, not appropriate to go. The family was suffering a lot. There was no money for school, rent and even food.

So aunt started working as a primary teacher in a nearby school. But all the money that she earned was snatched away by her husband and again he would spend them on alcohol and for his entertainment. Like this things kept getting worse. He even stopped her from going to work. He would beat her with anything he could get a hold on, in front of the children. The children were growing up but the poor souls could not even go to school. The husband had cut all the contacts from friends and families and didn't let aunt and the children out of the house. But one day somehow, aunt ran away from house and called my uncle from a STD booth….“Now when I ask her, why she never told the truth in starting only, she says that it was because of the children.. her husband blackmailed her that he would HARM them…”Now after many years, Aunt has given divorce to that man and now she lives her life independently. She is back to her confident self. She teaches in a school during day time and in the evening she works as a beautician. Her elder son is in high school now and aims to become a doctor. The cute daughter is in 4th standard and as for her dreams, it's a new one every other day.

"When asked why she didn't remarried, beautiful as she was, she says that her dream about a happy married life has now changed to a new dream of seeing both her children happy and successful in their lives…”She no longer looks for a knight, now she looks for a sword.
"}]
"It's a National Holiday today. Our School needs to understand this!"

I usually used to cry in the name of going school. It started off with the same mood that day too. But I didn't cry. Can't recall what exactly was going in my mind, but listening to all the patriotic tunes from around the society made that morning sweeter than the rest. And I found myself sitting in the School Van without the wet sleeves.

The School was decorated with the Tri-colour everywhere. The place with all the customary hustle and bustle in the morning hours, was today calm and serene, with the soothing soundtrack from the assembly-stage. On the top of it, I realized that we weren't supposed to attend any classes today. That made me smile a bit brighter.

We assembled for the prayer where the choir was all set with the instruments to perform the National Anthem. But it felt somewhat different that day. With such an ambience, I felt my goosebumps from the first word to the last. A couple of cultural performances then followed and you might guess how much interest a 5-year old child would show for it.

As I turned my head around, I saw my friends donning the Tri-colour badge on their shirts. It soon got settled in my mind that I'm not in the complete uniform for the day. Even when I went back home after receiving the sweets, I wasn't able to enjoy it completely.

I don't know how but my father figured it out what's wrong with me. He asked me to join him for a ride across the streets, to see the various function ceremonies. It looked quite repetitive to me since every place had almost the same setting and the names on the stage did not seem any new. Even the ballads sounded boring.

As we were returning, he took out the Tri-colour badge from his pocket and said,

"Son, you must know its worth. Respect the Freedom Fighters, because of whom we're living in this free land, with Freedom. Be Proud of your Country."

The words came off with such concern and left such a deep impact imprinted on my mind since then.

My Nation, My Pride, Forever.
"}]
