Booming voice in his vocals and bags of characters in his tone. This is the story of a persistent and unflagging individual- Boda Jayanth Mathur from Anurag University.
Jayanth was a highly talented and self-contained individual. It was when he was 5 years old, that his singing talent was first recognized by his father. When Jayanth was young, living with his family in Ramagundam, he used to listen to the songs played on a Television channel every day and hum to those tunes. One fine day, his father recorded the song when he was humming and told him-” This beautiful art is said to be singing. You have a beautiful voice and you’ll be a singer”. Those words are deeply inculcated in Jayanth’s mind. Ever since then, he always stood up for every opportunity that struck him to excel in his skill.
In 2004, Jayath made his debut in the Telugu singing Industry. He participated in the singing competition which was hosted by the Legendary singer SP Balasubramanyam Garu on a TV channel. The first strike was a hit and Jayanth was selected for that competition. “It was my immense pleasure and joy sharing the stage with a such great singer. My first opportunity itself was a great start for my career indeed” -says Jayanth.
Walking through the dire straits-
“My father paved the way for me, and my mother was along with me throughout my entire journey”- expresses Jayanth. Jayanth’s parents always believed in his innate talent. They stood by his side in every aspect of his life. Jayanth says-” Success is not determined by whether you don’t face obstacles or not, but by your reaction to them. And if you look at these obstacles as a containing fence, they become your excuse for failure. If you look at them as a hurdle, each one strengthens you for the next.”
In any voyage to find out the best-hidden talent in you, there will always be many hardships, sleepless nights and hurdles. But, when you believe in yourself, in your talent and stay determined towards your goal, then definitely the noise around you would turn into a beautiful melody for me. That melody would indeed give you the motivation to accelerate your journey. Jayanth always believes and says-” kill them with your success and bury them with your smile.”
What was your experience with Telugu Indian Idol-
“Telugu Indian Idol was such a great experience for me which boosted me and gave me global recognition and motivation for enhancing my skills in singing. I received so much appreciation and love from the audience globally. I was loved by people on the show and people from different countries who watched me sing. The dream come true moment of my life happened on the Telugu Indian Idol platform where I sing in front of one of my favourite singers and music director- Mani Sharma Garu. My other such milestone was indeed the Telugu Indian Idol which gave me the exposure.”- claims Jayanth.
Balancing the expression-
I received a lot of support from my school and college. I was never held back to lose any opportunity for studies. I managed to balance my academics and career simultaneously. I am very much thankful to the Anurag University management as well. They never stopped me from pursuing my passion but in fact, gave me the energy and boosted my confidence.
From 2004 to 2022, Jayanth had been a part of 14 Telugu shows and 5 Tamil shows. It was an amazing journey and he made every moment of his life a beautiful note.

“My small request to every parent out there is to encourage your children to discover their passion and instincts and give them your support. I have personally witnessed many such situations where truly dedicated aspirants had to step back to follow their parents’ conceptions. They are driven by a lack of support. I wish not to see any such talented individuals lose wonderful opportunities”- exclaims Jayanth.
