La Muinteora Sona (IRISH ) , HAPPY TEACHER'S DAY FOR ALL THE MARVELLOUS AND COGNIZANT TEACHERS IN THE WHOLE WORLD. A teacher is a person who helps students to acquire knowledge, competence or virtue. Teachers provide instruction in literacy and numeracy, craftsmanship or vocational training, the arts, religion, civics, community roles, or life skills. They also serve as supervisors for extracurricular activities. In some education systems, teachers may be responsible for student discipline. Today on the occasion of Teacher's Day, ST.ANN'S DEGREE AND PG COLLEGE students has impressed their teachers with their stunning performances. All the teachers were mesmerized with their presentation. Besides students, teachers also played their role gently by participating in silly games and performed a crazy cat walk with their beloved students and made the programme successful. Celebrating Teacher's day at school is one of the finest memories from the school days. With no doubt we can say everyone will agree with it. Begining to prepare to surprise our teachers with all the decorations along with elaborate plays, essays and speeches is an event that leaves a mark in the memory. A very prominent part of the Teacher's Day celebration is the speech.

We have a few sample speeches, in English and Hindi for the students to convey their wishes and gratitude for teachers. Teachers are the light of the world, the beacon in the dark and the hope that gives us strength to survive. On this beautiful occasion, let us take the opportunity to convey our wishes to all our teachers, who have given impeccable contribution in shaping us.

txt
Having been reminded that this is my last teachers' day as a teenager, I started to wonder about how did I become the person that I am today. I haven't had many favorite teachers who influenced me since I was a child because I was spending most of my time at home, with my mother. (The funny part of it remains the fact that I did my schooling from the same school for 12 academic years). I hardly remember the Saturdays I'd attended back in school, on finger count, because my mother had weekend offs.

I want to trace back to the day when I had come back home from school, all excited, in about my 6th grade or so and picked up my mother's mobile phone to text a music channel (after betting with a friend that I'd surely pull it off), saying that I would miss a guy from my class during the vacation. I quickly deleted the text from the 'sent messages' and sat as though nothing ever happened. My mother came to me with her mobile phone which had a reply from the music channel that the text request of "I miss you XYZ" has been approved. I almost had a mini heart attack. She looked at me with an absolutely normal grin and just asked me to sit and chat with her for a while. About 20 minutes into the conversation, she asks me whether I had picked this act up from some film: I sit numb. She hugs me and says, "All I want to say is that you're too young for all of this and I know that my daughter knows what's best for her. Don't get influenced by peer pressure, they ain't dealing with a single consequence". For an 11 year-old child, the fact that she got away with something as serious as this with just a smile and a hug was far from believable.

Another day in the life of an 11 year old me (11 was one transforming year), saw the wrath of my dad's scream after stealing money from my own house to buy 'expensive' friendship day gifts and bands for my friends. My mom quietly walks into the house post work and asks what's wrong. She sits beside me and helps me lie on her lap, she bribes me with a couple of chocolates out of her bag and talks me out of the mess saying, "Money is important. I'm glad you have a knack for it. I'd be happier if it were genuine. I will try and buy you all things shiny but would that suffice? I'm sure you'd want more. Work for it later when you can. Right now, or any day further in life, remember that you can't live with the greed for more. Learn to be content, we're not talking about this again". It took me a mere 2-minute conversation to realize the fact that there's more to life than money and how insignificant it stands amidst the happier things in life.

I share every little piece of information from my life with her despite knowing that some of it would call for a war because I believe that regardless of whether or not I pick the right things for myself, one talk with her will help me get a clear perspective of the consequences that would follow. Academic issues, best-friend troubles, boyfriend struggle- you name it and she sits right there explaining how life doesn't end with just one path of career, how there's more to my life than the people that pull me down and why I mustn't let go someone who grows by my side. I cannot think of a better teacher than someone who would never, ever let you give up knowing all the potential that you hold.

There's this one thing I know that this woman, this teacher of mine, has taught me life and its cards through these 19 years that no school/college could. I could pay and take classes for anything out there in the world today but not for the morals, ethics and life basics that she's brought me up with.

We often fail to realize how parenting (read mentoring/guiding/teaching) is the base for most things that end up effecting our lives. Home is the first place that we learn and pick traits from.

I'd love to quote this from a series called Gilmore Girls- "As she guided me through these incredible eighteen years, I don't know if she ever realized the person I most wanted to be was her".

Happy Teachers' Day, my most favorite teacher. A person I will always look up to. (You can trust me on this because no child of 6 would walk to her school principal and threaten him saying that he must be aware of her presence since she's Vaani Sistla's daughter, who herself was a computer teacher at school back then).
"}]
Teacher’s day is a great occasion for celebrating and enjoying the relationship between teachers and students. Nowadays, it is celebrated with the big enthusiasm and joy in the schools, colleges, universities and other educational institutions by both students and teachers. Teachers are given lots of wishes, gifts of gratitude, but I think we can never set a price for knowledge. "This is the worst class, your seniors were better" , if you heard this from your teacher in high school then you had a bomb childhood.

A quick throwback to my childhood, I always end up being taught by aggressive teachers and that kept me quite and I was kinda low-key in my middle school. But that taught me to work harder after school hours and subsequently I did improve and I started doing things out of my comfort zone. We all have those loud teachers whose answer to everything is punishment. If punishment works why is crime rate high?

It rarely happens that someone comes into your life for a brief period but leaves a lasting impact on your mind and heart. After a point of time, you start to change as the other person's love, and compassion helps you grow. I had a somewhat similar experience to this in 2015, class 10. It was the first day of my new session when I met Mrs. Dubey. She was my English literature and grammar teacher. She was the best teacher in English at our school and she is the reason I started writing and expanding my horizons, I proved a point to my peers that I can write and I am pretty good at it and scored the highest in English in my boards. I consider this as my first achievement while growing up. The best learning I can take back home from Mrs. Dubey was to never give up.

Later on, during Intermediate, English was taught by Mr.Feroz. He was such a cool faculty, and he helped me in scoring the highest marks in English in boards of my college. It's all numbers, But I am proud of these achievements which motivates me when I am having trouble writing. We all have teachers around some are good and ready to do anything to see us successful.

And if there is someone I would like to thank are Larry Page and Sergey Brin, who gave an amazing tool called Google, which is a boon for everyone enthusiastic enough to learn something, and I am not an exception, majority of my skillsets are from Google, from guitaring to coding.

And an honorable mention to Dr. Joseph Murphy the author of Power of your subconscious mind. This book had the biggest impact on my life. We are never old to learn. I learned a lot from my parents, teachers, friends. My parents taught me to work hard for what you love, teachers helped me in my school, college. And friends who keep me motivated and helped me grow, and I am happy to find all this support at the right time and the right place.

Happy Teachers Day!
"}]
Teacher's day... The day which we tribute to our teachers who taught us whatever it may be subject, life values, skills... In short, we can say whatever we are today is only due to the teachers. We know and recognize that there are many teachers in our past who have given their hearts, minds, and souls to nurture in us the things that they saw as vital to our education, critical to our success, and important for our future. In this case, I wanted to give the title - Best teacher in my life to my Kaalu abba (uncle). Coming to the profession... He is a govt. teacher (Hindi). He is not the one who taught me as of in my classroom. He is the one who always taught me the values and way of life indeed... which are that useful to me now.

txt
rich_1567340286927

Apart from this... Right from my childhood... I have been the one who used to rush off to their house even for a single doubt. And it was like... my uncle used to not let me go back again. Being a Hindi teacher... He is the one taught me Hindi grammar. At that age I was like doing blunder of mistakes in grammar and punctuations... and my diary used to fill with remarks from school teacher. At that time, I could say... my uncle took it serious and taught me this in detail in an effective way. Even now he be asking those grammar terms... but I still do remember them only because of his training. My whole exam week used to be spent by me in their house for sure. Those were the days of my SSC exam... I was really tensed... As it was the 1st board exam! That time the guidance and confidence that my uncle gave were really helpful. He even prepared a mock OMR sheet in the format and patiently explained to me what is the process and all. Thus, I got to learn great patience only from the teachers.

txt
rich_1567340286928

Teachers... though they teach one particular subject... they, in fact, have great knowledge in all other domains. Like... my uncle used to even teach me social, science subjects. One thing that I wanted to share on... Recently just a week before my semester, I became sick and got admitted in the hospital. I was totally worried about those exams... mainly the Finance subject. Like I had the confidence of doing well in all other subjects because I attended those classes but in case of finance... though I attended... I used to confuse between the terms debit and credit and those tables. My uncle was even succeeded in explaining all these stuff related to finance... such that I scored max marks. This is another proof.. how talented the teachers are

txt
rich_1567340286929

Recently a month ago... this great teacher got retired. Yeah... I thought this the best moment to convey my thanks to my uncle and gave a speech that turned to an emotional one. He is never happy by his retirement... He go to school and takes up the classes even now. And this time... even I go with him and make trials of teaching. Got to learn many things from him and I know.. my uncle would always be supporting me... in fact, he is my career guider! I hope I would never let him down and prove myself as his best student.

The satisfaction and the joy that you get through this job is incredible and a good feel. This teacher's day get to cherish your memories and tribute your teachers.
"}]
Teachers are non-biological parents that love and care for us as if we are one of their own. I have met some of the best teachers throughout my education who in the culmination became family.

But one such teacher who will forever be my inspiration and my mentor is my English ma’am Miss Aarshi she is the fruit of grace and love. I can easily and proudly call her my second mother. She never failed to amaze me with her knowledge on the subject.

English has always been an easy subject for me, but she brought English to life she has a remarkable skill of teaching students in the class room as well as outside she always taught us that learning should not be placed in a boundary, it shouldn't be confined to any particular space, she never believed in just teaching for grades but always taught us to be prepared for life and the things to expect from the real world.

She always jumped at the opportunity to help us and found immense joy in our success, her mind is filled with creative ideas and the best part she's the last one to take any credit, she always guided me and taught me the true meaning of life, she has been such a blessing in my life and i cant thank her enough for it.

She respected us irrespective of our age and helped us.

I thank her and all my other teachers for the blessings and the major role that they play in helping us be good, kind and caring people its only cause of their hard-work and guidance!!

Students were asked to write about their memories associated with Ganesh Chaturthi for the contest. Here are the top 10 writers of that contest!

1. Ganesh Chaturthi-Etched Memories
Yalavarthi Hemasri, CMRCET
Don't tell Ganesha how big your problems are, tell your problem how big your Ganesha is...

As Lord Ganesha already started from the abode of gods and is on the way to reach us sooner on 2nd September to enjoy our regale and to listen to all our problems and solve them. I just went through my phone gallery to recollect my previous year's Ganesh Chaturthi memories to share with you all.

2. MyFriendGanesha
Keerthana Cheelamanthula, G. Narayanamma Institute of Technology and Science.
DAY 1!!!! I heard a sweet routine voice of my mumma "Get up it's ganesh chaturthi, you need to get ready soon we are going to temple". I over hear the same voice waking me up every day but this day i loved to hear that voice because it's one of my favourite days. The excitement to see lord ganesh idols in my town 😍. My papa takes me on a ride over the town to see all the idols and celebrations. My little eyes blink with all the joy. The colours over there, crowd over there, all the celebrations grab my heart..♡

3. Memories which I will always cherish
Viswanadh Varanasi, KG Reddy College of Engineering and Technology.
When we were kids it used to be a very exciting ritual to go visit Ganpati in different houses in our colony. The main charm was, of course, that we got to eat sweets, especially Motichur laddu. For the celebrations there used to be a pandal with music, games and cultural performances. It was a lot of fun and I have many great memories of the Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations. Eventually, we started taking responsibility for organizing these celebrations in our colony. Everyone is in a very lovely festive mood and I enjoy attending the rituals that take place. Visarjan, of course, is a very important occasion and on our way, we go dancing and take along food made in different households. And if at all it starts raining, then everyone goes into a different frenzy altogether.

4. Bal Ganesha-Lord Ganesha
Bayya Sai Sandhiptha, G. Narayanamma Institute of Technology and Science
Day - by - day our anxiety for the preparations of lord ganesha got high and finally the day arrived.Every year we had a tradition of making lord idol by all our cousins and worshipping for 9 days by offerings then we merge the lord. But for once we thought to celebrate the festival by knowing all the story of vinayaka.

5. A festival of togetherness.
Akhila Sri, MGIT
So it’s Ganesh Chaturthi tomorrow & firstly i would like to confess something. I’m not usually a person who celebrates festivals in the true sense of worshipping. Although I believe in god, I don’t perform rituals of pooja, or dress up in a traditional attire on any festival. But Ganesh Chaturthi is more than just a Hindu festival. I always look forward to the festival with enthusiasm. Something that excites me more is that either the festival or visarjan falls in the month of September, my birthday month!!

6. Festival of new beginnings
Kruhika Kanduri, G. Narayanamma Institute of Science and Technology.
Festivals and food are a pride for every Indian -very colorful and delightful. They depict our culture and explain our tradition. Festivals are a fun part of every Indian's life and to me, they mean a lot, especially Ganesh Chathurthi. Ganesh Chathurthi is completely dedicated to Lord Ganesha who is said to have the power of relieving us from obstacles, provide us with good fortune and moreover, is the Lord of New beginnings.

7. Vinayaka Chavithi.
R Sreeharipriya, St.Martins Engineering College
Vinayaka Chavithi is how I've heard my favorite friend's birthday being called as, ever since my childhood. Vinayakudu, i.e. My Bojja Ganapathi (as I call him) has always been one of my go-to venting machines. ''WHY ME? GET ME OUT OF THIS MESS! WHY CAN'T YOU GET ME OUT OF THIS MESS?''- these are my trademark questions that he always answers by giving me the strength to withstand situations in which I cannot get away by punching people in their faces.

8. MY GANESH CHATHURTHI MEMORY
Gunti Varun Kumar Yadav, VBIT
During childhood, every Ganesh Chathurthi I would make new friends, I would go to my colony's Ganesh idol and sit there and wait for the pooja to end, so they would start distributing sweets and prasadam. In the mean time I would go and talk to other kids and our main topic used to be, the height of Ganesha idols in the colony. And then at some point in my life, my friends and I wanted to organize Ganesh Chathurthi celebrations and went to a stationary , got a chandha(donation) book and went to some people and asked them.

5. Hello, my dear children, it's been a pleasant morning this day. I am glad to have a conversation with you. I am serving you (children) from billion years and still counting on. As a mother, it's my duty to serve you, secure you and survive you. But, behind the curtain, I am struggling hard, sacrificing a lot to enable you to live along with me. I am giving my best help in making you develop and prosper in their lives. Many generations have lived with, living with and going to live with me.

You(Children) are making use of me for development. But, from past 2 centuries, the usage rate is increased that my energy is getting drained away and my age is getting older at a high rate. Industries, factories and cars emit dangerous substances which are making me older from outside. Over-Drawing of groundwater, digging mines and bore wells deeply are hurting and making me older from inside. Even you are getting affected by pollution and other means indirectly. You are thinking it as a Development, but as a side effect, you are deteriorating your healthy life.

You are digging in for water(blood), but in near future, you will not get it, instead you will get my bones(rocks). You are breaking my bones (rocks) away and making me look ugly and skinny. All these are making my expiry date approach sooner and faster. I request you to save your Mother Earth and it's your duty as my children to protect your mother because no child is born without mother. Protect me and protect yourselves. I remind you that even your Mother Earth has got an expiry date(death).
"}]
It is Teacher’s Day tomorrow. As long as I was in school, it just meant a day when kids get to have fun in school without being terrorised by teachers in the usual way. But now at 27, as I think about it, a few things come to mind. Long ago when I was going through a reading-self-help-books phase, I came across something that said “if you think your teacher is tough, wait till you get a boss”. Years later, when I got a boss and I thought of it, I realised for me, my bosses have been my teachers more than the individuals who taught at the schools I studied in, as those teachers seemed to get more of a power-trip through their authority over their students than anything else.

txt
rich_1567678357832

If I have to compare, my bosses have always played on my strengths and enabled me to build on my strengths and critiqued me on my weaknesses by telling me what to do, which was in stark contrast to the way my teachers in school behaved with me, writing me off on my weaknesses and completely ignoring my strengths.

For example, my English teachers were always bad-tripping on my poor penmanship instead of focusing on my ability to articulate and my language. The irony is, I am a professional writer now. My Telugu teachers always said “your dad is such a big figure in Telugu but you aren’t good at this” and insulted and humiliated me with their favorite “pandita putra parama suntha”, instead of answering my questions (which should have actually told them of my interest in learning).

txt
rich_1567678357833

Looking back and thinking about it, I feel it is a result of the educational system that’s in place in conjunction to letting every idiot join a school or a college as a teacher without judging them on their capability of being able to handle, guide and nurture children. While not all of my teachers in school were bad, in fact some were very supportive and in a way, I really owe my career in writing to Malathi Nagarajan, a teacher in my 10th, most of them just knew their subject and nothing else. I believe a system should be put in place to identify their abilities to handle children and extensive training should be given before unleashing them on young ones.

The rant aside, if I were to talk about the ones who actually taught me, my biggest teacher has been the Internet. Most of what I know, I have learnt through the thousands of hours of endless reading online.

txt
rich_1567678357834

Apart from that, my bosses have been my greatest teachers. If I have to list out, I can clearly tell what I learnt from the various bosses I’ve had. I learnt the nuances of writing digital content from Salahuddin and Siddharth in my first job. I learnt how not to be as a team-lead and the nuances of handling people at a workplace from my boss at the first newspaper that I worked at. I learnt how to pick stories in a newspaper from my senior Samyuktha at that same newspaper. My startup bosses Jitendra and Charan taught me how to prioritise things, taught me efficiency, taught me to use my strengths more effectively, gave me opportunities to lead, gave me opportunities to discover my potential in aspects that I never even thought about. My boss Srinivas Reddy at Telangana Today taught me a lot about writing for a specific audience, making me learn a lot more though I felt I knew it all. My senior and mentor Lalith at Telangana Today taught me to be a better journalist.

What’s common to all of these people? They focused on building on my strengths and working on my weaknesses in a proper manner. They gave me opportunities to grow instead of just writing me off on my weaknesses.

txt
rich_1567678357835

If you are reading this and you aspire to teach someone, please make sure you do the same...
"}]
Lesson, it is not only a part of syllabus, but also it is part and parcel of life. Life is combination of lessons which we learn from point where we start to walk to the situation where we start to walk with help of a stick. Life, it is a dairy where we need to write our today lessons for the better and bright future. All these are taught by self experiences and/or from others.

Parents are the first teachers in everybody's life. During the childhood, they teach us how to walk, they teach us how to talk, they teach us how to eat and many more. After certain age, in school, they teach us how to manage and understand things around us, how to study them, how to plan things, how to behave and so on. These are the important lessons one must have for their overall development.

This man(myself) believes that life is never ending learning journey where we are the drivers of the life and people around us are the passengers. They come into our journey with loads of experience and leave you explaining their journey. We have to import the best lessons from their journeys into our lives. Likewise, I learnt many things from my parents, my surrounding people and few more. But the most influential person was my physics sir, Manish sir.

Myself being an avid thinker, Sir taught me to look at things in a deeper and broader way. He made me into science club and gave me liberty of looking into each and every project or presentation and understand them. He used to ask questions later which gave me more knowledge. He helped me to build my first robot in my 8th class for one of the science fair. He was burning midnight oil for my project and was always motivating on my failures. On the day of prize presentation, he greeted me for MY success and gave a hug. Later, in every project from my school, I was included in Research and Development team. All these transformed me into a complete project and practical mind where I have done more than 20 projects till now and few more are adding into them in the coming future.

I thank every teacher and my parents on this teacher's day. I thank everyone who has carved this rocky homo sapien into a sculpture of knowledge and wisdom.
"}]
"Why God created teachers?

In his wisdom and his grace, was to help us learn and to make our world,

A better, wiser place!"

I still remember being scolded upon repeatedly for getting horrible marks in math!! Yes, she was my Math teacher in my 6th standard named Mrs. Sridevi. She was the reason for my confident math ability today. Though I am not very good at it I'm neither worse. I was her most irritating student in the class always asking silly doubts like why is 2+2=4 and why not 5!! I was such a typical kid especially when it comes to math.

She would answer all my questions patiently and would teach me a bunch of tips and tricks to solve the problems with ease. She would come to the examination hall and would stare at my answer sheet if at all she found a mistake in the paper, done, I'm gone for the day!! That strict she was. She was the person who always put me 85 out of 100 where I'm supposed to get 90, so as to build that fire in me to secure more marks.

She was not only my math teacher instead, my guide, my mentor, my discipline keeper, my cleanliness checker and what not! To conclude in a line, she was a sculptor of my mind. Because of her, I learned how to respect elders and teachers, stay tidy and obedient, to excel in my academics as well as my co-curricular. She would get a spark in her eyes whenever I was first in class or won in any competition conducted in the school.

She was the whole and sole responsible person for carving my character and building my ethics. Teachers are our second mothers they say, but she was none other than my most loving and caring mother at home and a firm and stringent second mother at school.

Thanking her on this teacher's day and greeting all the teachers a Very Happy Teacher's Day, as you are profession is the reason for building many other professions.
