There are five reasons why Kedarkantha is a terrific snow trek from December to April.

1. Snow till April: Not many know but on the Kedarkantha trek, the winter snow sets in by the middle of December and lasts until the third week of April. You will probably come across now just as you cross the 10,000 feet mark, lying on the forest floor among the pine trees. When you reach the meadows, it is likely to be a huge blanket of white around you in every direction.

2. Prettiest campsites. This trek has the prettiest campsites in the Himalayas. Not all treks can boast of the beauty of its campsite like the Kedarkantha trek. Each of its campsites is unique in their beauty. The Juda-Ka-Talab campsite sits in a clearing surrounded by giant pine trees, the Kedarkantha Base campsite is an open meadow with snow peaks all around, the Hargaon camp is again on a clearing of pines and oaks. It is almost as if each one of them competes with each other in their beautiful setting.

3. Best drive in the Himalayas. The drive to Kedarkantha takes you through Mussoorie, Nowgaon, Purola, Mori and Naitwar. It is a remote route so exquisite that it is one of the most beautiful drives in the Indian Himalayas.Trekkers need to especially watch out for the section after Purola right until Sankri, the base camp.

4. The pleasure of walking on a carpet of brown leaves. The Kedarkantha trek starts in a dense pine forest. The trail is always covered by a carpet of brown leaves. Walking on this is a crunchy delight! 5. Snow peaks all around. The Kedarkantha base camp impresses you the moment you step on it. The 360-degree view of famous mountain summits around you is jaw dropping. When you get to the Kedarkantha summit, it is as if you have touched the sky and all the summits are at your eye level!

Hiware Bazar was also appreciated by PM and got featured in ‘Mann ki Baat’ which a radio program.Modi has stated that the people of the village have done exemplary work.If you are wondering how did this all happen?.The answer is pretty simple.

The village ‘Hiware Bazar’ like every other had issues with water scarcity. But,since the year 1994-1995, they started to adopt water management and watershed management. The village flourished with water since then. They have banned crops like sugarcane which consumes lots of water.Instead, they chose to grow vegetables. They also encouraged dairy farming and produce around 4,000 liters.

This village has also has set some rules for the villagers. The villagers are not allowed to rent their farms to the outsiders. They have a meet every year to discuss on the water resources available and decide on the crops to be harvested for next year. Not a single villager is below the poverty line.

It is an inspiration for the other villagers to adopt such methods to conserve water.I wis many such villages come up with such ideas and solve their own problems without looking for the help.

"}]
Beep! Beep! sound Air hostess directing me to exit door . At last, I reached my hometown. It always feels good in Hyderabad. Trust me ,I travelled to many cities and Hyderabad is the only place where it feels safe, happy, less traffic( compared to other cities) etc. Let's come back to the point about me quitting engineering . It all started when I went to Delhi to study Korean for 4 months and one day I receive a call to come back to Hyderabad.

I was worried for some instance. So, I took the morning flight and reached home as early as possible. Everyone are happy to see me well but I was not because I was worried for some reason. My sixth sense was saying that something is going to be wrong but I don't know what is wrong. All of sudden my mom comes to me and says we took an engineering seat for you in nearby college and today is your orientation day. I was shocked because I know I was not made for engineering. But they already took an admission in nearby college and I can't refuse it (Middle-class Drama). My life was changed in one second from Delhi to Hyderabad. I went to my orientation day with my family and the strange part was I was travelling for an hour and then I reached my college . I never knew these engineering colleges are so far that it took 1hr to travel every day.

Finally, I reached my college and I see many students/faculty highly unsophisticated. I was directed to seminar hall where what so-called "Orientation Day" was happening . I see an old aged person (our Principal) saying how prestigious is the Institution. Generally, I get bored and irritated of all this stuff so took a small nap. What is strange is " People Around Me" why I am saying this is the "Mentality" is kind of different. When I was in Delhi I was with all self-made people with "let go" mentality and suddenly here I see everyone staring at me when It all felt strange with people with very immature mentality around where drinking is sin and talking to a girl is something out of the world. everyone around me is so different because they still have boundaries to their thinking their minds have a schedule and rules to think. Words won't be enough to describe how it felt to be in that college. Many disliked me for being honest, Straight forward and many felt I was showing off but that was the simplest I could be .

Every day I wake up I feel I was going to Jail till 4 in the evening and I will get Parole after 4 to go home and come back again. My scores are good, not awesome. My family gave me a bike, money and mainly they feel they gave me "Freedom" but they don't know how much I was suffering inside. I know I was going to burst some day and it did happen and I said I will quit engineering because going I was scared to face everyone once again and I don't want to be the odd one out there. It feels like I was choking to death every time I go there. My thoughts , Ideas, Freedom everything gets seized and the only thing I had to do was to stay silent. Our college rules are so pathetic because we are made to wore an apron to do coding . we should come clean shaved ( they feel clean shaved face will get the high package) . We are not allowed to bring a phone and we are not allowed to talk to girls. It was like every action I want to make I was taken back by myself. So I taught to quit on one "FINE DAY" and I was not searching for courses but I was searching for some good colleges. But there was talking to myself if I am doing it right or wrong.

My conscience says me not to leave but endure everything and become more strong because where ever you go you will face something which will make you want to quit but quitting is not an option we need to face it. So I taught to give it a try and stay because I already completed 2 years. I was not scared about society or where I will go after quitting engineering. I had many plans I know I can be successful anyway because i "Believe In Me" and that belief said me to stay and change what is going wrong in the college. I started to express myself in every case where things are going wrong in students perspective . I guess till then no one had the courage to speak but with all of the hope I went on stage in front, everyone expressed what can be done to change . It was not only my problem many had issues but no one had the courage to face it they are passing their days but I couldn't do that so stepped forward to change and indeed change took place. People started to support me come with me because it was all for out collegemates. Still I feel I don't fit in there but unknowingly I was the "perfect fit".What makes me go to college is that I have a chance to make things right and I will do it. Nischal stood in a corner as all of his classmates were talking in groups. He was the only one from a village. His hard work got him to the city's best Engineering college, but his Non-English background is making him a loner. He was afraid people would laugh at him if he spoke in Telugu.

He thought about it the entire night. Next day he went to a group of students and asked a query in Telugu. To his surprise none laughed. A week later he confided to his new friends about his lack of communication skills. Some promised help. By the end of the second semester, he could write small essays and speak without mistakes.

Sounds familiar? With all that endless hours put in scoring a good rank, there is little or no emphasis on Communication skills at Plus two level, which turns into a big challenge at college. How can one learn a language as vast as that ?

1. Start small. There is no hurry. It is a small learning phase of life.

Divide learning into parts. Vocabulary, pronunciation and grammar.

2. Keep a goal of ten words a day, one rule of grammar, and two correct pronunciations.

3. Watch videos of simple conversations, or read magazines like Reader's Digest.

4. Refer to the dictionary. It never gets out of fashion. Learn new words, and explore multiple meanings and opposites of the words you already know.

5. Speak. A mistake is better than a non-action. If you are scared of sentences, start with words, and observe what response is the other person giving.

Student life poses many challenges which prove to be ample opportunities to learn, help and grow with others. Always take the initiative to any task and see great results. We will continue to explore about Communication skills in the coming days.

Happy learning!!

To help such needs, Opera came up with a built-in free VPN service. It is absolutely free and you don't even need to register any account to use this service. Application of sunscreen with a sun protection factor 30 (SPF30) prior to exposure to sunlight is likely to delay the onset of skin cancer, finds a new research.
The study, conducted on mice, showed that sunscreens are known to prevent skin from burning when exposed to UV sunlight, which is a major risk factor for melanoma — most serious form of skin cancer.
However, it has not been possible to test whether sunscreens prevent melanoma because these are generally manufactured as cosmetics and tested in human volunteers or synthetic skin models.
“We have developed a mouse model that allows us to test the ability of a sunscreen to not only prevent burns but also to prevent melanoma,” said lead researcher Christin Burd, assistant professor at the Ohio State University.
“This is a remarkable accomplishment. We hope that this model will lead to breakthroughs in melanoma prevention,” he added.
Burd and colleagues previously reported in Cancer Discovery, a journal of the AACR, the development of this mouse melanoma model.
The researchers genetically engineered mice and found that if they exposed these to a single dose of ultraviolet-B (UVB) light one day after applying the SPF30 chemical 4-hydroxytamoxifen (4OHT) to the skin, melanomas appeared much more rapidly, and there were many more tumours.

"}]

The very first one was participation in TATA Crucible Business Quiz which actually gave me an outlook of the contemporary scenario.

Second major turn happened when I took membership in IEEE and attended All India Student Congress at Ahmedabad in 2014.
