There are so many articles out there on Time management that I find it ridiculous that I'm writing one for this platform. I mean, just google it and you'll get tons of examples with similar advice all over because these are effective and work over and over again. But hey, I'm gonna recreate the arcane advice and hope some of you benefit from it, so here we go.

1. Rise and Shine...early:

I used to roll my eyes when my parents told me to wake up early so I can get more done and be more healthy in general but turns out it is actually true. I'm shocked that my parents, with their more than 30 years of life experience ahead of me, gave me accurate life advice. I'm shocked, I tell you.

Seriously though, wake up early, it is good for your health and waking up early means you get more stuff done throughout the day. You will even have the time to go to the gym! Now that's the real shock right there.

2. Know Thy Task:

Whenever you're asked for a task, make sure you do not agree to it right away unless it is extremely important. Promise to look into the matter and do it anyway, this will save your time and also the person who's asked you to do it. Know thy task, know what you're doing before you attempt to take it on.

3. Prioritise:

Of course, the above point would be crippled without remembering the fact that you need to be able to prioritise your work effectively. Trivial tasks seem easy to conquer but that'll just cause you to push back on important ones which will cause you to panic and not focus on it properly.

Honestly I still struggle with this, the information age has brought with it too many distractions.

4. Say no:

Your time is more valuable than you let on. Learn to say no early in life, it will help you, trust me on this one. Girls know this better than anyone else.

5. Take breaks..

...that don't turn into huge wastes of time. Once again, the Information Age is here to ruin us all by extending our breaks into extended sessions of stalking our exes on Instagram and getting into arguments on Facebook. Don't give in to the dopamine rush of social media. Fight back, because you are harder, better, faster, stronger.

I might be listening to Daft Punk as I write this.

I did tell you I'm going to do this article every day of this week. It's April 24th here in India which means in about 24 hours, reviews for the movie will start hitting the internet and we will finally be able to see if the movie is great or really really bad or worse, it is nothing special. With the amount of hype riding the movie, is it possible to fail? Guess we'll never know any time soon, considering even if they do fail, the Russos have Infinity War 2 to make up for it. Psst, I heard it has time travel in it.

That being said, the poster on which we are basing our current team-ups, as usual is right below. Don't forget that these team-ups are pure speculation and have no basis in how the team-ups in the actual movie will be like. So, let's begin.

1. Thor, Son of Odin, God of Thunder:

Before we begin, I strongly suggest reading up on actual Norse mythology to see just how brutal Thor really is. I'm writing these articles listening to Norwegian and Viking Metal just to get a feel of the raw power of Thor as written in their myths. The Thor in the comics and in the MCU is not the same as the old gods, for the old gods are a league of their own. I strongly suggest reading Neil Gaiman's Norse Mythology and American Gods.

Thor, the God of Thunder who has been known to be the god of Vikings for nearly 2000 years now. The name Thursday is also inspired by his name, Thor's Day is Thursday. The Viking God of Thunder was adapted into Marvel comics during the golden age and has been a mainstay ever since, becoming a part of the Avengers and Asgard's emissary on planet Earth.

He also has the honour of being the strongest comic book character ever written, up there with Superman and Doctor Manhattan. While Superman's strength has ridiculously large limits and Doctor Manhattan can create and destroy with his mind, Thor is a literal God, his strength comes from legend, and legends can make him as powerful as he wants to be. This, obviously worked against his favour in movies because they had to depower him all the time to make a movie with him, both the Thor movies did poorly before New Zealand director and well known weirdo Taika Waititi took over the reins and delivered Thor: Ragnarok, where he loses his hammer, Mjolnir (pronounced Mi-ol-near) but is still extremely powerful. Mjolnir itself is so legendary that it needs an article of its own to talk about it.

He was last seen escaping with the remnants of Asgard after his sister, Hela, causes him to destroy his home planet. Just as soon as they are getting away, their ship is waylaid by Sanctuary II, the ship commanded by Thanos as both the ships were making their way to Earth. This is the most direct and closest tie-in to Infinity War in Marvel movies so far, at least, until the movie releases on 27th.

2. Loki, The Trickster:

Thor's adopted brother and second in line to the Throne of Asgard, Loki, a frost giant raised as an Asgardian, is known in Norse mythology as a trickster par excellence. Loki as a norse god has been used as a plot device for many stories over the years, including The Mask where Stanley Ipkiss finds the Mask of Loki that turns him into..well, The Mask.

However, in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (and comics), Loki is an enigmatic figure that plays both sides whenever it is suitable to him. In the comics, he has run ins with characters like Deadpool and constantly tries to steal Thor's hammer, Mjolnir. In the movies, however, Loki - played by British actor and if my female friends are to be believed, the husband of every woman I know, Tom Hiddleston - tries to steal power for himself before realising that it is futile trying to take over Asgard. He has constantly backstabbed his brother Thor since childhood, despite sharing a mutual respect for each other, and the trend continues in the movies. Thor and Loki have a brotherly relationship that Thor never gives up on Loki, even when Loki wishes him not to.

They are a complicated family.

Loki did not get a character poster in the pictures released by Marvel, so here's a shot of him from Ragnarok. He was last seen on the Statesman, the same ship Thor was on at the end of Ragnarok. Did I mention he stole the tesseract store in the vaults of Asgard in Ragnarok? Because of course he did.

3. Peter 'Starlord' Quill:

Who?

Starlord, man? Legendary space outlaw?

Peter Quill, known to very few as Starlord, is the leader of the Guardians fo the Galaxy and a rascal, there's no other way to describe him. However, even though he might not always have the best of intentions, he is undoubtedly a hero, sometimes a thief and a loud mouth most of the other times, not to mention he has excellent taste in music.

The son of a celestial, making him one of the most powerful beings in the universe with the limitations of a normal human being, Starlord and the Guardians have been on crazy adventures together, with Volume 2 seeing Quill realise what finally happened to his mother and who was responsible.

Casting Chris Pratt (or Crisp Rat) as Peter Quill was one of the smartest decisions Marvel has made so far, next to Robert Downey Jr as Iron Man, for he was perfect for the humour and the dramatic effect that would be needed to carry the role of Peter Quill.

Starlord was last seen in Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 2, off looking for new adventures along with the rest of his team.

4. Drax The Destroyer:

Played by the popular Dave Bautista, former WWE star and all around wholesome person, Drax the Destroyer is one of Marvel Cinematic Universe's most conflicted characters and the centre of the heart of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, where he compares Mantis to his daughter because they both were innocent. Drax's inner conflict and coming to terms with his loss were a major part of the movie and really went a long way in humanising him and his motivations.

Drax is also very literal, as he would tell, nothing goes over his head, he is too fast and would catch it.

A powerful fighter, Drax is the muscle of the Guardians and a loveable goofball that can crush you in seconds. He was last seen with the Guardians looking for a new adventure at the end of Volume 2.

5. Rocket Raccoon and Groot:

For the purpose of this article, I've allowed Groot to introduce himself.

I am groot! I am groot. I am Groot, I am groot!

That was him introducing himself and saying thank you for your time, but since nobody except the Guardians understand what he says, allow me to translate.

Groot belongs to a species of sentient trees from an undisclosed planet. Groot can grow to be really tall and since the first movie came out, Groot has become a symbol of mental health and coping with life thanks to how cute and cuddly he is, even before he was a baby Groot. Contrary to popular belief, the original Groot in the first Guardians of the Galaxy movie died saving his friends from the Kree warship crash, the Baby Groot we see in Volume 2 is his offspring. I understand if you need a minute to steady yourself.

Rocket Raccoon, his companion and partner in crime, was an experiment that went wrong, a subject Rocket is very touchy about. After escaping whatever hellhole he was being experimented in, something that hasn't been shown in the movies yet, he changed his name to Rocket and began and career of crime across the Galaxy along with the friendly giant that was Elder Groot at the time. Rocket was heavily devastated when Groot decided to give his life for the Guardians because for the first time in their lives, both Groot and Rocket had friends.

They were last seen with their friends looking for an adventure in Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 2.

Oh, and we'll be seeing Teenage Groot in the movie.

To put the entirety of Sachin's career in a short article is nothing short of stupidity. Sachin's career, his style of play, his discipline and his work ethics can fill multiple volumes, there simply isn't enough to write about this literal God of Cricket in India. Starting with, of course, his humility even in the face of being hero worshipped - there are people who would willingly give their life up for Sachin in this country - and yet he never had the arrogance, he remained the simple middle class boy that the country identified with.

So, when I cherry pick three moments from his tremendous career, no matter how good those moments were, it would still feel like gross injustice because I will inevitably not mention more. But then again, this is my tribute, and I get to say what goes in my tribute. I'm cool like that.

1. The Desert Storm:

India were facing the Australian side that was out for their blood, looking for the first sign to close in and finish the job in a match at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium. The Aussies had hit a mind numbing 284 (come on guys it was still 1998), and put the pressure on the Indian side who not only needed to win the match, but also keep a decent run rate.

In walked Sachin Tendulkar in what would be the match that made him immortal. On that day, the Aussies saw the full wrath of Sachin's devastating batting. The wickets kept falling but the Bomber from Bombay did not falter, instead he stood tall, hitting the balls out of the park whenever and wherever he could.

Sachin went on to score 143, his momentum not breaking despite a literal desert storm interrupting the match. Shane Warne went on to joke that Sachin's batting on that day still gives him nightmares.

2. Devastation At The Centurion:

The year was 2003, the World Cup's 36th match was slotted for March 1st, 2003, against arch rivals India and Pakistan. The stage was set, as it is with any match up with India and Paksitan, and the nation watched holding their breaths.

Pakistan back then had a lethal bowling line up, helmed by fast bowler Shoaib 'Rawalpindi Express' Akhtar, a bowler that has given even the most skilled batsmen a run for their money. But even he couldn't do anything against the Master Blaster, as Sachin hit boundary after boundary, scoring 98 runs in 75 balls, to deafening roars from the crowds cheering him on. It was one of Sachin's finest moments, pure class cricket and a treat to fans.

3. The 2011 World Cup Final:

Now this one, I clearly remember.

It was the day India wept, for it was the final match Sachin would play in his ODI career. Mahendra Singh Dhoni had no qualms about talking about how the world cup win was for The God of Cricket Himself, and the emotion, the adrenaline we felt as we watched it unfold, the speech at the end, and the happiness on everyone's faces, it was a day that will not be forgotten as long as there are cricket fans in the world. It was a magical moment, after a career spanning 21 years, 6 World Cups and 635 matches in all forms of the game, the victory lap after the electrifying 2011 World Cup final was pure magic.

Kapil Dev broke down on live TV, overwhelmed with emotion, everywhere on the streets, Indians celebrated a legendary story in making, people were out on the streets, hugging, dancing and smiling from ear to ear. On that day, we were all Indian. Identity did not matter, what mattered was the twinkle in your eye and the smile on your lips, something we all could use more of in this day and age.

What a match it was.

Yesterday we did Team Iron Man, today we take a look at what seem to be the Captain's Team, those who - at least according to the poster if it is to be believed - cast their lot with the Cap and followed him.

Now, I know people like to rag on Steve Rogers for not having any superpowers but that is what makes him so awesome, not to mention the super soldier serum made him extremely smart, heightening his capabilities to strategist in battle, which is why even Tony Stark put his ego aside and listened to Captain Rogers in the Battle of New York, hell, even Thor - a literal god from legends - followed the Captain's lead.

But hey, don't, let me keep you from the character intros

1. Steve 'Captain America' Rogers:

The young scrawny kid from Brooklyn who stared his doctor in the eye and categorically stated that he didn't like bullies, no matter where they're from.

Of course, Rogers was referring to Hitler and his hopes of being sent to the frontlines of the war so he can serve, despite being as weak as he was. It was for this reason he was chosen for the super soldier program: not because he wanted to serve, but because he was a good man with a very strong moral compass, beliefs of equality and justice.

This is what makes Steve Rogers one of my favourite avengers and the de-facto leader. His ideals are what we all should strive towards, because no matter what, if you know something is wrong and the whole world is telling you to move, you plant yourself on the banks of the river of truth, look them in the eye and say, 'No, you move.'

Steve Rogers was last seen in the MCU chilling in Wakanda, ensuring his long time friend and former Hydra sleeper agent Bucky Barnes aka The Winter Soldier received the care he needed at the hands of T'Challa, the King of Wakanda and also the Black Panther. After having fought off Tony Stark in Civil War, the promo footage shows Rogers with the Star on his chest darkened, signifying that he had lost faith in his own government, especially since the Sokovia Accords went into effect - something which Rogers was staunchly against.

You can further see the damage the Sokovia Accords do in Agents of SHIELD which I highly recommend you watch.

Of course, losing faith in the government means not only darkening the star on his chest, but also changing his name. In Infinity War, he will be known as The Nomad.

2. Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow:

The enigmatic super spy and unparalleled martial artist, Natasha Romanoff was first introduced to the MCU as an unassuming assistant to Tony Stark in Iron Man 2, put in place by S.H.I.E.L.D Director Nick Fury to keep an eye on the belligerent and reckless Tony Stark.

One of the, if not the best, Agent of SHIELD, Black Widow's missions are infamous in the intelligence community of the Marvel Cinematic Universe for her successes and how she always gets the job done. In the first Avengers movie, we see her tied to a chair on a mission and still remains in full control of what to do.

She was last seen at the new Avengers compound with Tony Stark, with Tony asking her to run for her life because the government was going to hunt her down for helping Captain America and The Winter Soldier escape from the airport in Leipzig, where the major Civil War battle happens.

Played by Scarlet Johannson - a star that has been shining for quite some time considering her age - Black Widow is a resourceful and deadly combatant who leaves no quarter for her victims and gets the job done.

Fun fact: Scarlet Johansson and Captain America actor Chris Evans are very close friends in real life, having grown up together.

3. Falcon:

Sam Wilson, AKA the Falcon, was first introduced in Captain America: Winter Soldier - widely regarded as the best movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Winter Soldier was also the movie that turned Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D from a one off show into something absolutely mind-blowing, this is a movie that keeps on giving. While The Avengers might be visually appealing and blockbusters in their own right, Winter Soldier was the closest MCU got to a political thriller and it stands the test of time.

Seen right at the start of the movie on a jog around the Washington Monument - running at the same time Captain America is out on his morning run - Wilson quickly becomes the only person Cap can trust after finding out the existence of Hydra within SHIELD.

After realising he can trust Cap, Sam Wilson quickly becomes a close confidant to the him and looks up to him as a mentor. Following the events of Winter Soldier, both Falcon and Cap begin their search for Bucky Barnes, one that continues well past Age of Ultron, before finally being forced to confront the events of Civil War.

Falcon was last seen in Captain America: Civil War, smiling at the shadows from which Captain America emerges to break him, Wanda Maximoff and Hawkeye out of The Raft.

4. Wanda Maximoff/The Scarlet Witch:

An immensely powerful character from the comics, The Scarlet Witch, played by the beautiful Elizabeth Olsen, might not be as powerful as her comic book self in the MCU, but she is nothing to be messed with. The problem with characters like these in movies is that they are too powerful to accurately show just how much they can do, hence are limited to being cut off while using their powers by various factors, like being forced to stop using her powers when she hears sound blasts, extra.

With her psychic powers of manipulation in both the physical plain and your mind, this is not an enemy you want to make. With her romance with Vision being one of the central plots of Infinity War, it remains to be seen where the story goes, especially considering that Vision has an infinity stone on his forehead which Thanos wants for his gauntlet.

She was last seen imprisioned in the Raft, we can safely assume Captain America broke her out of prison.

5. Vision:

The enigmatic android known as Vision was born during the events of Age of Ultron, first being created by Ultron himself to ensure he transfers himself into a real body, abliet made out of vibranium which Ultron buys from Ulysses Klaue, the South African weapons dealer and enemy of the state in Wakanda. After being interrupted by a daring mission by Captain America and Black Window, Vision's body is transported to Stark Tower where Captain America tries to stop Tony Stark from waking up the android, fearing Stark would make the same mistake he did with Ultron. Which is when Thor arrives and supercharges Vision's casket, thus giving him life using the mind stone found in Loki's sceptre.

If that sounds confusing to you, you need to watch the movies right now.

But the point is, Vision is an extremely powerful synthetic android powered by the Mind Stone on his forehead, which Thor believes is a safe enough place to leave an infinity stone. Of course, at the end of Age of Ultron, Thor leaves on a quest to search for more infinity stones and is waylaid by a little problem of Asgard being under attack by his crazy sister, but that is a story for another time.

Vision, played by Paul Bettany, an actor with excellent command over his speech, will be one of the key members in the fight against Thanos this April 27th. It remains to be seen what happens. Oh and he takes quite the liking of Wanda Maximoff, even in the comics, Vision and The Scarlet Witch are a couple.

One stormy night many years ago, a man and his wife entered the lobby of a small hotel in Philadelphia. Trying to get out of the rain, the couple approached the front desk, "would you have a room for the night?" the man asked. The clerk a friendly man with a winning smile, looked at the couple and explained that there were three conventions in town. "I'm very sorry, all of our rooms are taken," "But I can't send a nice couple like you out in the rain at one o'clock in the morning. Would you perhaps be willing to sleep in my room?. It's not exactly a suite, but it will at least be good enough to make you folks comfortable for the night." He added. When the couple declined, the young man assured them: "Don't worry about me, I'll be just fine," so the couple agreed.
The next morning,as he paid his bill, the man said to the clerk: "You are the kind of manager who should be the boss of the best hotel in the United States. May be some day I'll build one for you." The clerk looked at the couple and smiled. Three of them had a good laugh. As they drove away, the couple agreed that the helpful clerk was indeed exceptional, as finding people who are both friendly and helpful isn't easy.

TWO YEARS PASSED..........

The clerk had almost forgotten the incident when he received a letter from that man.It was an invitation to visit the couple in New York, and enclosed was a round_trip ticket.
Upon his arrival in New York, the man took him to the corner of Fifth Avenue and 34th Street. Pointing to a great building, a palace of reddish stone, with turrets and watch towers thrusting up to the sky, the man said: "That is the hotel I have built for you to manage." The man said. "you must be joking," the young man replied. "I can assure you I am not," the man said, with a look of satisfaction on his face.
The man's name was William Waldorf Astor, and the magnificent structure was the original Walldorf-Astoria hotel. The young clerk who became its first manager was George C.Boldt. This young clerk never foresaw the turn of events that would lead him to become the manager of one of the world's famous hotels.

Born on November 4th, 1929, Shakuntala Devi was many things in her life, championing equal rights, making education more accessible and a fierce woman, but she is remembered by many for her uncanny ability to calculate complex mathematical equations in a matter of seconds.

Today, on the anniversary of her death, let us remember the life she lived and the rights she championed, for she lived a long and productive life until she closed her eyes forever to the world on April 21st, 2013.

In 1944, the father-daughter duo left for England and subsequently, traveled the entire world, making a name for herself.

3. Jensen and Devi:

Her extraordinary abilities did not go unnoticed by academics. In 1988, she was called over to New York by Arthur Jensen, the professor of psychology of California University, Berkley. Studying her abilities was the main target of the professor.

Seeing that Shakuntala could solve mathematical problems within seconds, everyone was stunned. She calculated the cube root of 61,629,875 and the seventh root of 170,859,375 within a fraction of seconds. In fact, Jensen said that she had calculated the exact number even before he could write it down on his notebook.

5. Pioneer of equal rights:

Shakuntala Devi was one of the first Indians to ever write about equal rights to homosexual folk. In her book 'The World of Homosexuals", she argued how gay people were discriminated against and laid down a framework which the world could follow so we treat gay folk equally. Indians have an uncanny ability to laugh at everything and move on, so much so that it even when something is slowly killing us, we ignore it and go chalta hai because accountability is not something we are taught and privacy is a joke. But hey, I don't want you to think I have some unresolved issues or anything, I still love this country for what it represents, just maybe not the people in it all the time.

Coming back to the sense of humour part, however, some people are born funny, whereas some people are born in towns that have funny names. Here's a few

1. Pooh, Himachal Pradesh:

Here's a fun fact: I've actually been to this place with my brothers when they took me hiking in the Himalayas. Located in the Kinnaur District of Himachal Pradesh (which also features plenty of other famous sights), Poo or the Pooh, depending on if you want to make an immature joke or comparing it to Winnie the Pooh, is a quaint little town on the hiking trail filled with warmness. That is a dirty joke which I hope nobody gets.

Let's be honest here, a country as devastated as ours was under the yoke of the white man, it was an outrageous idea to even dream of having a space program, let alone funding one and going ahead with the plans. Yet, thanks to the vision of our former Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru, we dared to dream and we not only achieved, we excelled.

For PM Nehru understood and inculcated into the nation a sense of scientific temper and being driven towards sciences and technology, but that is a story for another time. Right now, however, we turn our eyes skyward and appreciate the realisation of our dreams for a space program, which were realised on this day, April 19, in 1975 when we put Aryabhatta, India's very first satellite, in space.

1. The Great Bod:

Aryabhata was built by ISRO to conduct experiments in X-ray astronomy, aeronomics, and solar physics. The spacecraft was a 26-sided polygon with a diameter of 1.4 metre. Transporting it was a whole another beast.

2. A Little Help From The North:

Obviously, India had the technology to build a satellite but it could not build a launchpad or develop a launch vehicle. It also seemed silly to do so, considering the Soviets were literally at the throats of the Americans and both the nations were making new breakthroughs in rocket science nearly every year. It simply made more sense for us to ally with the Soviets and ask them for help to launch of satellite. Which they did, Aryabhata weighing 360 kilogram was launched by Russia (then USSR) from their Kapustin Yar rocket launch and development site using a Kosmos-3M launch vehicle.

3. You Scratch My Back....

Of course, in Geopolitics, there's no permanent friends or enemies. The Soviet Union was not going to help us without getting something in return. So in 1972, preparing for the launch three years later, UR Rao oversaw the signing of a deal with the USSR that allowed the them to use Indian ports for tracking ships and launching vessels in exchange of launching Indian satellites.

Of course, the United States wasn't happy about it, but that's a story for another time.

4. Unforeseen Circumstances:

Not many know this, but mere days ahead of launch, the Satellite actually fell and its electric power system failed. It took four days of painstaking working to fix it and make it ready for launch once more.

This week’s cosmic review is quite interesting with amazing news. So, let’s dive right in to…

Parker Space Probe

Our star Sun has always fascinated us. But we never really reached the Sun and never go to observe it close enough. Well, NASA has plans for that and now they are close to make it possible. The Parker Space Probe is the one that NASA has for its first mission to touch the Sun. This spacecraft is about the size of a small car and is intended to travel right in to the atmosphere of Sun. You might be wondering how this spacecraft could survive the extreme heat of Sun. The spacecraft is provided with a 4.5 inch thick carbon composite shield which would withstand a temperature of 2500 F. Moreover another interesting fact of this mission is that NASA has for the first time named the spacecraft after a living individual. As this mission was named after Eugene Parker who is an astrophysicist and the one who has done phenomenal work on stars and their behaviour.

The most interesting thing about this mission is that, now it’s possible for you to be on the mission. Not literally but, you can now submit your names online which would be placed on the microchip aboard the spacecraft as your name will go along the spacecraft as travels through the Sun’s atmosphere. Sounds interesting right, why don’t you give a try then…

Be a part of the mission and register your names through this link:

An interstellar visitor

It was on October 19th,2017 that this interstellar visitor , simply a rocky object from another star system was discovered for the first time. It was named Oumuamua and is the first object in our solar system from another star system. It was on the discussion table recently as scientists check the object for FM band signals on a speculation that it could be a interstellar spacecraft. But scientists didn’t found any life sign on it and continue to observe this interesting traveller.

SpaceX

The CRS14 mission is still underway as the Dragon Capsule is docked to the ISS for cargo transfer after a Falcon9 launch from SpaceX on 2 April,2018. After two days , the capsule was docked to ISS. The only thing now left to finish the mission successfully is its recovery as Dragon prepares for a splashdown in the Pacific.

The next launch for SpaceX would come from yet another Falcon9 which would be carrying NASA’s Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite(TESS) which is scheduled to be launched on 16th April and the launch window being 6:32-6:33 EDT( 0402-0403 the next day ,IST).

ISRO

The recent GSLV launch which carried GSAT-6A satellite onboard was unsuccessful as the satellite suffered a power glitch after getting into the orbit.

ISRO has successfully launched yet another navigational satellite IRNSS-1l which is seventh of it's kind . It was launched aboard PSLV at 0404hrs IST on 12th April,2018. The regional navigation satellite system(NavIC) constellation is now complete with 7 satellites and is now highly efficient.
"}]
