Heya!we the students are enthusiastic about sports and games and I think many of them are good at their respective sport and have confidence in it. So, every year Jntuh will conduct zonal tournaments but the reach is less and the students are not aware. These tournaments are being started from 24th Jan. Students can register and participate in the tournaments on the day itself. Every one of us always ponders over the thought of doing something for society. But only a few get into the field and do service. Here is my journey in doing such service through an NGO called Street Cause Hyderabad, which is the highest student-run NGO in Hyderabad. Before that a quick bite about the organization.

A Life without a Cause is a Life without an Effect. This is perhaps the most inspiring thought that aptly defines the motive of Street Cause which strives to bring consistent changes in the lives of the people.

Street Cause is an NGO comprising of students intent on doing their bit for the betterment of society. Within a year from its inception in 2009, it has radically grown from being a local guild of adherents, with the objective of helping the underprivileged and the destitute in any and every way possible, to being an internationally renowned organization. Street Cause has completed over 7000 tasks in a span of 8 years. A few events have been conducted in collaboration with corporates such as Deloitte, Gold Drop Industries, Indian Red Cross Society and others. Street Cause also has collaborations with organizations from various countries like the United States, Ukraine, Ghana, Gambia, Liberia, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, and Nepal.

The Journey:

My primary reason to join Street Cause is to do something for the underprivileged, who are often forgotten by everyone. It is really hard to take out time outside the academics for an engineering student, but my passion for service drove me. And now I am very happy that the efforts of people like me are helping the underprivileged to have a better living.

I am the Divisional President of Street Cause KGRCET, which is a division of Street Cause from the students of my college. With the help of students, we did events around the college. All the funds required for the events are raised by the students.

I am very proud to be the one to start Street Cause KGRCET Division in my college.

H.Y.A - Hyderabad Youth Assembly

A premier annual project of Street Cause that recruits students from colleges of varied academic disciplines after rigorous scrutiny of group discussions and personal interviews. Members of HYA work for 8 months to play their role in realizing sustainable development. The motions put forward are discussed, deliberated and voted upon during their designated time slots, following rules of procedure set by the UN assembly. The motions passed are there on implemented by the members after a series of surveys in villages destitute of the very basic amenities.

I was selected in H.Y.A and the experience has been remarkable. I am the director of the SDG - Quality education. Oxygen is roughly 21% of our atmosphere, yet the most important thing for survival. What if it disappeared not forever but let’s assume for 5 seconds? Does it make any difference for human? Nah we can hold our breath for maximum of 30 seconds. It isn’t a biggie. Can Earth hold it for a while? So welcome to my piece of writing which will tell you the hazards that will cause for 5 seconds of loss of OXYGEN from the EARTH.

Run if you’re in the apartment which is build with concrete, it is going to collapse in those 5seconds and turn into dust because the oxygen acts as a binding agent to concrete.

Next, okay run even if your building is not made with the concrete because the untreated metal would be fused together because the metal has a layer of oxidation on metals that prevents them from welding together.

After this, if you think of spending next 5seconds out, you are gonna experience a severe sunburn because ozone layers are the protection from the UV rays from the sun.

If you think that’s it? Nope there is more, our ears would explode, losing oxygen means losing 21% of air pressure, change in air pressure that much is equal to sea level up to 2000 meters instantly, which our ear can’t adapt.

Air combustion would be impossible, that means NO FIRE.

Planes would fall down.

Sky would turn dark.

You know that’s not it, our earth’s crust is made of 45% of oxygen; if oxygen disappeared the earth’s crust would start to crumble.
The chances of Dead are close. If we can think, what it’s just 5seconds, it makes hell difference to adapt to sudden changes. Imagine if this would happen for the FOREVER. The only source of oxygen is trees. So think twice before we chop, or burn them for our life. There life is important than ours. Cliché but true…
"}]

Yoho... it’s a New Year. It is a time of making regular annual good resolutions. Take a second to visualize your previous New Year’s resolutions. I made many resolutions last year and I have not stuck to them and quickly forgotten when they become inconvenient. So this time I thought of making resolutions that I can follow they might look silly but they are the areas where I need to concentrate on

1. I am lazy. My laziness is like 8 and it tends to infinity when it lies down. This makes me wake up late there by late to college and everywhere I go. I decided to be punctual and be on time.

2. Meet more new people, have a good experience with them and not act introvert.

3. As I have my gate exam next year I want to concentrate more on this and attempt my exam well
4. Eat healthy food, spend more time in nature and with family, learn a new skill, conquer a fear, travel more and save more money.

5. Buy a parrot and teach the parrot to speak

6. Resolution to not to curse at traffic. But I know this has more chances of breaking down.

7. Being a piano player I want to concentrate more on this as my trinity exam is going to be in this year

Being kind to everyone, cut down on junk foods, being punctual, Use mobile for less time, concentrating more on studies and the list goes on… I think I made too much resolution this year and some take almost a full day to break them.

But on a serious note, Every time a new year rolls around, people set out to better themselves. New Year’s resolution is a promise a person makes for the New Year. Regardless of what resolution you commit to, the goal is to improve life in the coming year. Though some of them are not committed at least fulfilling some among them could make us better than the previous year.
"}]
After the semester winter break from college is the best break of all, even better than summer. Because, on winter break, you have a new semester or new quarter waiting for us, meaning there will be no work to be done over break as we hardly get a week. No homework equals all the time in the world to relax and enjoy the time you have off for the holidays, it’s like one long continual nap fest.

As people return to the college on the day of opening (people like me 2days after holidays) reflect on these conflicted feelings about going back to the college.

They obviously miss their friends, roommates, and life at college for sure. But at the same time, they will be upset to leave the comfort and familiarity of their own home

If their exam doesn’t go well they will have tension about results and decides to perform better in this semester

Excitement to see their new classes, new faculty, new schedules some new and old friends.

When the college bell rings loud and clear. We realize that our vacations are over and college is here. The daily routine of waking up early, getting ready for the college, bearing boring lectures, bunking classes enjoying with friends nothing is new everything is the same as the previous semester.

After feeling a bit relaxed, after a few weeks of settling everything, here come the nightmares of assignments, mid exams, lab exams and after all it’s a part of our students' college life.

"}]

Now-a-days not only youth but also the young children are also addicting to drugs.I can prove this statement by giving a real life example ,I have been the witness for this situation. The boy name is Sai, who is 13 years old and his father expired 4 years ago when he was 10 years old. His mother is a hardworking women ,who sells the vegetables. His mother used to pamper him alot.when he used to ask money to his mother for his purpose then she refuses to give. At that time he used to stole the money from their vegetable shop.Suddenly after some days he was slowly addicting to alcohol and drugs. Then he used to torched his mother very badly. After few days he totally addicted to drugs and alcohols and lost his concentration on studies.

txt

I personally put in alot of effort to bring him out of his addiction.I'm still in progress. Finally I wanted to conclude that motivating one is not a big issue. So try your level best to get them out of their addiction which puts their life in danger. Please do motivate how much you can and how far you can to bring a magical change.

txt
