College could be too hectic and monotonic but Vignan manages to break the boring routine through technical and cultural events and this time, it is going to be on the 9th of November- The Innovative Project, followed by Cultural events, an opportunity for every student to showcase his/her caliber.

It brings back memories from last year's Innovative Project, I took a stroll through the corridors of Vignan, noticing the extraordinary efforts put in by the students (and their guides, of course) and have been eagerly waiting to take part since then.

As a person who admires Engineering immensely, (haters might call me a nerd) I was fascinated looking at every project they had exhibited because it is all about the applications. A major appreciation to all the students running like maniacs to get the components and the circuits right (reminding you guys it's time that you take the precautions that you mention in your records) and sincere respect to all the guides who have been taking time off their stiff schedule to help us out.

While your project could get you to places, in the past week, I also got to observe so many other important things that may have gone unnoticed. You know how they say, more than the destination, it is about the journey? (Well.. I just did say that). It holds true in this case.

It all starts from selecting whatever you are interested to work on (which is like half the work because there are numerous and incredible options out there). Then you will have to convince your guide that your decisions have been taken in a sober state and that it is possible to make it happen (especially that your guide is capable ;D ).

You spend an evening haunting down places like Koti to get the equipment required with your friends and skip the shopping part and end up eating outside (hey! people get hungry..). The real struggle begins after you assemble all the components. That is when most of us feel the most respect for all the Engineers.
Now this is THE INNOVATION time because most of us make so many wrong connections and type the wrong programs that we might at some point actually invent something brand new. Genuinely, this period is very important in every aspiring Engineer's career because of the amount of practical knowledge we gain during the time spent on making mistakes an learning from those.
Finishing the project and heaving a sigh of relief right before the college helpers start setting up stalls for the projects' exhibition is the best part about it.
So when you see a project, it is not a mere working model but an idea and the efforts which have gone into making it possible. Mark your dates, the 9th of November, 2019. You are going to be there, aren't you?
"}]

Introduction: The leading reasons for anxiety amongst students are exams. There are students who commit suicide or alternatively give up on life in fear of not getting through the test. Exam anxiety and exam stress are feelings which are common among students of all age groups. Some are capable of managing exam anxiety and test difficulty in their own way. Some fall victim to consequences of exam jitters and suffer from depression, do poorly at tests or even take extreme measures. Sometimes, exam force will make you have panic attacks and bunch of people see that this difficulty before tests is much worse than the current tests, and it gets even worse if
They have elder siblings who have already done well or are clearly the brighter ones compared, and feel that they have a benchmark to match up to. This is not your regular article or something similar to a YouTube video of which the title reads out as "How to prepare for exams in 10 days'' or "How to prepare for exams in one night" or "How to write your exams without preparing for it at all."
So, read carefully because here are some "Tips" which are probably the most helpful you would find, some of them are listed below;

1) Stop juggling: Organise! Go through the topics and look out for the one's you have an idea about or are thorough with, and jot down the topics which you are unaware of.
2) Condensed notes: Writing down notes is feasible and most helpful for retaining information or nailing down the answers. So, if you're starting from scratch or have plenty of time before the exams condensed notes are the way to go! and you don't even have to break your head for it.
3) Chart: Now that you have a proper plan and notes ready, grab a huge sheet of paper and make a chart. And by this, I mean to lay it down it should include, the amount of time needed to complete a particular subject starting out with giving priorities to the subject you feel is tough, which takes longer and gather important questions and previous year question papers and tick off the repeated questions.
4) Single Mindedness: "keep your phone away", "you spend too much time on that brick", "you're having a headache because you've been on your phone for too long" possibly everyone of us has heard this. Our parents can be a little harsh on us when they say we use our phones a lot. And they're not wrong! Staying on our phones for too long actually can lead to memory loss. And the psychologists have stated this as "Digital Amnesia" where our brains are fast losing their ability to remember as to become increasingly reliant on technology to retain data. Concluding, stop using your phone for a longer period of time and prepare your mind for a single objective, that being to score the highest and to give it your best shot.
5) Calm down take a breather: Stressing out and panicking will only make situations worse. Find something (or someone, for that matter) which/who makes you relaxed and tension-free. When I was going through really bad panic attacks during the finals of intermediate 2nd year, I sought help from my elder brother, and he is the best person to ever exist in my life, gave the best advice and said " it's alright to not feel confident but if you're really determined of your ambition and do aim for success, you surely will pass and with good grades!" And that talk with my brother really relieved my stress, anxiety, depression and all those things I worried about. And It might seem facetious to you, but I scored more than what I imagined and better than the previous year. I Guess elder siblings are not that mean after all.

According to Newton's 4th law for exam;
Every book will continue to be at rest or covered with dust until some external or internal exam moves it.
To accomplish great things, we must not only act, but also dream, not only plan but also believe. Don't copy, it shows how unbothered you are of your future. It's okay if you're not the best in studying, it's okay if you can't score good, as long as you are determined and devoted to your ambition everything will and should work out just fine.

Our dreams are attainable, no matter what obstacles stand in our way.

These were some tips from me, a student to the students reading this. And all of them were original and are few principles that I follow. Remember not to put yourself down, everyone and everything is worthy and valuable.
All I want you is to be courageous,be calm and be self equipped with the facts and figures to conquer the exams battle. I wish you the best of luck in your exams.

txt
Help us Lord,that's hectic!!

Yes that's hectic, 'that' isn't some unsolvable mystery or something,it's just this one subject that I ain't able to get over .

My friend was like "This subject isn't even my thing, I can't study this, I just don't know why!"---"Oh that's okay kiddo!!,chill out and start using those brains to get to know what your problem is,only then you will find ways to come out of it".

-Maybe you are one of my kind where we find our regular teachers to be sleep inducers or we're too busy to listen to any of them. Technology has always been developing faster than a fly and let's make a proper use of it.

-You might have not realized it earlier but our assignments, those YouTube lectures, our little study circles involving friends, might surely help in some way possible.

🤝A big hand shake to all those who feel grudgy with those math freaks!! for always being on the opposite side of our universe. But,be it math or any other subject,it might get easier once we try learning it properly from its roots. It might take time, but do much learning with every hope to complete it.

-Kick those bugs and worms that keep distracting, anything is ok when you need to learn it.

--Fill your column of effort,be confident,be selfish that's ok to be at times, asking people for help doesn't belittle you.

After all you end up with something new or could even crack those toughest subjects.

Be a little more practical, nothing is to stop you if it's your will to do so. Just grow up mate, stop pointing reasons not to do it.
"}]
It is that time of the year when alarm starts ringing every morning and soon everyone is found with a book in their hand dancing to the rhythm of 'Ratta Maar'. Exams are approaching and everyone can feel the stress. Exams are definitely nerve - wracking and only a few come out successfully. Their secret lies in their approach. Its a unique blend of smart work and hard work.

In this article I will be sharing few tips to excel in exams.

1. Firstly, cover all the important topics in every chapter.

2. While doing that keep a small book for jotting down important formulae and different methods used for solving problems. Do a problem on every method and parallely note down where you can possibly go wrong. This gives more clarity and improves your understanding of the concept. Go through this book for atleast 5 - 10 min daily to memorize them easily.

3. When it comes to answers, practice diagrams well and remember the keywords. In case one forgets the answer, he/she can write it in their own words using key words.

4. Always prepare according to the weightage. So you can understand which one should be given more importance and allot more time to it.

5. Go through previous question papers and practice frequently asked questions.

6. Also, make sure your presentation is neat and try not to strike off anything.
Too many of them gives a bad impression and you might lose marks.

7. Don't stress yourself. This is not rocket science as conceived by most of us. Don't hung up on difficult concepts in the last minute. Go easy on yourself and do simple ones first.

8. Don't forget to take a practice test a week before exam to know your weak points.

Remember, practice and frequent revision is the key to excel in any examination.

A few days ago, I came across the news of a student from IIT Hyderabad committing suicide. That got me thinking about a lot of things that I experienced in my own life.

For instance, in my own case, because I was a topper of my school having secured 100 in math and 99 in science in my 10th, a reputed corporate junior college approached me with a free IIT coaching and my parents were elated. I loved speaking, I loved oratory but I didn't even know the existence of something called mass communication or CLAT or any other course that would have fit my interest more. It was just engineering that I knew and it was just MPC that I had to choose to get into IIT. My merit, ironically, was my bane. Also during that time, some of my friends went to Kota, the mecca of IIT coaching and there, they toiled hard for two rigorous years and in that time, they told me various stories of students committing or attempting suicides.

Eventually I did not get into IIT and I was dejected about it but thankfully, the universe seemed to have other ideas for me and pushed me up the path of entrepreneurship. Throughout my college life, I took part in activities that made me hone my public-speaking skills to the point that I was winning competitions while competing against students from premier institutions.
We keep hearing many stories of students committing suicide because of failing to crack the IIT entrance test but the fact that suicides happen even in IITs says something about the system that we have in place that only puts emphasis on making a student study and do what the society deems as fit for the person instead of letting the person do what they want to. As to when the ones in-charge will put on their thinking caps and figure out a system where lives and potential leaders are not lost at an age when they're supposed to be nurtured is a mystery to me.
In fact, that is why I started stuMagz, to ensure students have a platform to do what they want to irrespective of what they're pursuing in college.
While giving a equalizing platform for students in the form of stuMagz, I feel we might need a platform for parents to understand students and their wishes. A platform that connects every student and their parents where each can talk and share their perceptions and wishes in a healthy manner. Talents are showcased to the entire world. It'll make a world of difference if they can showcase it to their parents too.
To Read More Inspiring Stories (or) to share your story.Download our App Now: http://bit.ly/stumagzappone
"}]

According to the Census 2011, India has been ranked second in the world in population . India is the seventh largest country in the world on considering area to be the prior category . As the population density is considerably high , India has been susceptible to many fatal accidents. What do you think is the major cause of these accidents?

Guys usually these happens every time, the exam schedule releases before a month .we wanted to start preparation from one month before but,It won't happen.May happen for some guys.these happens usually . Because we are students the common qualities of students lazy, being late to the class , submitting assignment in the last moment,But being first to the college fest and etc.,

But the above things may not reflect our Carrier. In India our knowledge is only measured with the certificate where our performance in exam reflects.so it is important to have good preparation for before exams.

Know your capability in a ACADEMICS

The first thing every student should know before preparing to the exams. Don't get demotivated if you are poor in ACADEMICS.
Try to improve your capability not to a large extent . Improve your capability to some extent.Try to use maximum of your capability. Know it first and Try to improve yourself to a little extent. DON'T be stressed to much .Be cool.

Study

Everyone has their own way of studying.some people study one end to other end, some people study their own notes.whatever it might be GATHER ALL THE MATERIAL. After gathering some people get scared . Don't be scared by seeing all staff. Start Reading.

Feel free to take a break from study. We’re human after all, not robots. Take an hour off or even a full day at the weekend to spend with friends, but don’t let that day turn into a week. If you take a break from study make sure to get back at it. If you have a study schedule pencil in some days to relax and recharge the batteries.

Now, moving away from the study element, the following points are just as important (if not more so) when it comes to being exam ready. Think of yourself as a car preparing for a long road trip. What do you need to do to prepare the car for the journey? Well, obviously fuel, water and a serviced engine/battery. Cars (unfortunately!) don’t run on thin air, and neither do we as humans. We need sleep (serviced engine/battery), hydration (water) and food (fuel).

Sleep

Make sure and get plenty of rest not only the nights of exams but on the run up to exam week too. I’m talking 7-8 hours of good sleep. They say 5 minutes of sleep before 12am is worth an hour of sleep after 12am so try and get to bed early(ish) and get up early(ish). If you’re feeling tired throughout the day why not take a nap? The perfect nap lasts 20 – 60 minutes and can increase productivity levels and cognitive function.

Remember to get a good night’s sleep the night before an exam. I know how tempting it is to stay up all night and cram but trust me, you’re putting yourself at a disadvantage. You wouldn’t go to a Music Festival with your phone battery on 25% would you? No, so why wouldn’t you charge your brain the night before an exam.

Hydration

Staying hydrated is crucial in all aspects of life (we literally need it to stay alive) so make sure and up the water intake during the busy study and exam season. Your body is working overtime and needs all the nourishment it can get. Try not to over do it on the caffeine (coffee, RedBull etc.) and stick to water as much as possible.

Food

Similar to the above point, you need to keep energy levels up at peak level during this busy time and that means eating and eating well. Sugar can be an effective short – term energy solution but there are far better alternatives like fruit, fish, nuts, carbs like rice and sweet potato. You don’t need to change your whole diet but just make sure you’re eating regularly and the right foods and snacks.

Exercise

Many people stop playing sports and engaging in physical after school activities on the run up to exams. However exercise (of anykind) is such a beneficial factor to include in your exam preparation. You don’t need to run a marathon or climb a mountain but even a short walk to take in some fresh air can reap benefits to those who get out there. Exercise is great for boosting energy, improving your mood and helping brain health and memory. Besides, it is typical that “Leaving Cert Weather” will be forecasted during this time so its an excuse to get out in the sun.

Ask for Help

If you’re really feeling the pressure of exams getting on top of you, you’re never alone. Chat with family and friends and maybe even a teacher for some last minute motivation and reassurance. Maybe its the case you need a last minute grind in a particular subject to help you focus and revise. Whatever the case may be, help is always available so don’t be afraid to ask for it if you need it.

*Whitney Career Guidance have a list of tutors/grinds providers available if you need help in a particular subject*

Prepare

Highlighters? Check! Calculator? Check! Pens? Uhhh…. Prepare what you need to take into the exam the night before. You want to be able to walk into the exam hall confident that you have everything you need. Make a list of the things you need for each exam to ensure you don’t forget ANYTHING. There’s nothing worse than sitting an exam, looking around to find everybody is using a calculator and you don’t have one – panic! You never know when you’ll need to just 100% check that 5 x 2 is definitely 10, only a calculator can give you that kind of reassurance.

Parents

How can you help as a parent/guardian? It’s so important that students have a strong support network during this stressful time. Play your part by engaging and encouraging the above in a gentle, non intrusive manner. Well, such acronyms hold true if you don't give yourself enough time to study. Most of us never knew how marvellous Maths can be! Wanna give it a shot?

This is the most frequent loophole observed. Maths without basics is like, wanting to go to the 7th floor of a building with no 1st floor. YouTube can be highly assistive in this case.

This is where most of us fail. We prefer mugging up the concepts, instead of honesty understanding them. In order to love someone deeply, you need to understand them. If you're not able to do it on your own, then ask for assistance. Remember, there's always someone ready to help! You just need to know how to ask for it!

I am the person who goes to college and waits for lunch, then waits to board the bus back to home. Needless to say, lunch hour is one constant time we get to bond over with our buddies on almost every working day of College. Food and friends - all your ingredients of happiness.

No matter what grown ups have to say, being a student isn't as easy as they describe it to be. There is a constant ambiguity running in our minds. Sometimes when we do seem to pay attention in the class, we might actually be making up career goals in mind or just thinking of the ice cream we left in the refrigerator back home.

Being an average student, I admit that it is not always possible to focus on every aspect of academics and my mates are of diverse backgrounds with their own lifestyles and issues. I have always seen College as an opportunity to learn from people and situations.

So when we all lunch together, all we are pondering over is, how to crack utterly lame jokes and laugh at them ourselves or how to get away with bunking the next class to nap in the sick room. (Shh!)

To others, it might look like just a bunch of awkward people having lunch and getting back to their lives but if you notice it, it is the time of healing for some, time to activate back into life for some and time dedicated to the loving memory of food for the others (ME)
You can observe your friends slowly turning into the opposite of parasites and stuffing you with food if you ever forget to take your lunch box.
