“Industrial visit takes students from a zoo to a forest.” Well, that might be a creepy line but it tells the gravity of an industrial visit.

txt
rich_1663428838329

A student pursuing a certain degree will be taken to a company or industry related to their field for a visit and there the students will be exposed briefly to the procedures, processes, work environment, management efforts taking place in that industry. This enables a student to get a clear picture about the working culture and methods followed by the company and helps to replace the myths, rumors and preconceived notions of the students.

txt
rich_1663428838330

Some reasons why you should never miss an industrial visit

txt
rich_1663428838331

● When you have been believing that, as you are spending more time with your books you are learning more things than others, a single industrial visit will completely change that perspective. The experience you gain there will be entirely fresh and open more doors to your knowledge and ideas.

● You will be exposed to the challenges an organisation faces in order to survive in the corporate world. You could come up with your own strategies to overcome such challenges.

● A graduate is not always a professional. There is a big difference between the two. An industrial visit helps fill that gap between the graduate and a professional. The practical hands-on knowledge you gain through an industrial visit will trigger your transition of becoming a whizz-kid.

● Another important perk of going to an industrial visit is that it acts as a bridge between you and your dream company. The chances of building up a good relationship with the employees and actually getting an opportunity for an internship or even placement in that company is maximum based on your outstanding performance in spot assignments and showing good manners.

● Last but not least, when we think from a student’s perspective neglecting all the above benefits and reasons, the greatest advantage of going to an industrial visit will be a day off from the boring classes. With a gut-wrenching and stress-inducing journey, you completed your four years of B.Tech. Many of your peers may have gotten a good placement or gone for higher studies. But, you are or may be stuck in the dilemma of what to do next. Well, it is an uncommon question many faces in this situation for whatever reason behind it. I am not downplaying anyone, just stating the facts, if you have seen the movie Raghuvaren B.Tech you will get a picture of what I am saying.

Let’s stop this jargon and get to the main point I want to discuss, which is discussing what career options one can take after completion of B.Tech. It is to give an idea to everyone not only people who completed B.Tech but all the people who are pursuing or will pursue B.Tech as their graduation degree.

The first goes to, obviously the college placements. Well, it is one of the criteria that everyone sees in an engineering college before joining it. It directly takes the students to recruiters as freshers. Simplifying the excruciating process of job hunting for the students fresh out of the pan into the oven. And it has competition compared to off-campus job searching where one only has to face the peers they studied with as competition.

The second is what everyone thought about at least once in their engineering life. That is pursuing higher studies. It is also one of the popular options one takes to let it be going to another country for a master's or appearing for a GATE test for admission into the M.Tech program. It is another best career path as one can also appear for placements after the program with offers many times better than what a fresher can get.

Another career path is to appear for a job at a PSU, Public Sector Undertaking. Which is considered lucrative as there is a big assumption in everyone’s household that a government job is better than any other job. Some PSUs consider GATE scores for selecting employees and some don’t. Some of the PSUs are RBI, SCIL, BARC and the list goes on.

And another option is to prepare and appear for civils for prestigious positions like IPS, IAS or IFS. And UPSC offers three optional subjects for engineering students they are civil, mechanical and electrical. Others have to just take the UPSC coaching. Or they can join the defence and serve the nation. Or they can be an entrepreneur and start a startup. But, this option has its fair share of positives and negatives but if one has the perseverance to overcome it they gonna have an inspiring story to tell, that is their journey.

And in my opinion, it is the late option that is to go out and search for a job. It will one hell of a stretch to overcome if you don't have confidence in your skills and abilities.

I hope this has an informational read for everyone and comment on which career option you prefer most.
"}]

While many aspects of modern life have been revolving around the technology, our primary methods of identifying ourselves are still largely based around physical documents.

Blockchain could change that by creating a digital ID through which we could control access to everything from our passports to our bank accounts. This digital ID secures the various bits of our identities used for different purposes.

Instead of offering up these pieces of information to an assortment of third parties, all of this information would instead be stored as part of a distributed ledger. This way, has plenty of advantages. Well, first things first, I am a big anime weeb. I watched many things, from the most popular big three to the underrated gems like Dororo. Many said that I still watch cartoons for my age. Firstly, I want to stress that anime is not cartoons. It has many genres, and I tried many of them. I can go on and on about everything, but let me rein myself down to settle on one thing. Anime can be varied, be it horror, psychological, romance or straight-up hentai–every genre has its share of duds But also good ones. And considering the most popular ones, I settled with Naruto.

I don’t know if you remember, but both Naruto and Naruto Shippuden aired in India but stopped. And again, it started last month, and I had seen full kids near my house yelling Rasengan. Man, I am seriously envious of them. I first came across the world of anime in 2016, and still going on. I am going off-topic let's, discuss Naruto. And the First thing to clear off, I hadn’t completed Naruto. Why? I will say at the end.

If I have to define the entire series, I would say it is a character journey. We follow naruto from his childhood to his growing up to achieve what he said in the first episode. If that’s not a character journey, what is it? And everyone who watched it will say that no book or institution can replace naruto in teaching life. The series, with its diverse characters, taught many life lessons that resonate with everyone.

No dream is too big to achieve, something that everyone comes to realise when one finishes the whole series. Naruto was alone and avoided by everyone in the world everyone had seen him as a monster to avoid. He wanted to be with everyone and be acknowledged. That’s why in the beginning he was an obnoxious kid with a huge goal to achieve. When he came to know what that dream entitled and he was not suitable for it. He affirmed himself so strongly to achieve his goal that everyone near him started rooting for him. And at the end of the journey, achieving his dream is inspiring for many who watched his journey.

And in his journey to achieve his dream he showed everyone that hard work pays off. Not only him but many characters like Lee, Guy and many more have proven it.

No one’s destiny is set, talking about Guy, the world was harsh for him with only taijutsu, but he always considered himself a rival to the talented Kakashi. That’s what every single one has seen him as, but when the person without any weakness, the person whom the world feared, Madara Uchiha, declared him the strongest. Everyone felt that destiny is not set in stone and one can change it with hard work and effort.

Redemption can be possible when tried, there are many characters in the series who went to the dark side changed their views from the words of naruto and redeemed themselves. Just like the broken hero Obito.

And this series also signified the importance of a teacher or a mentor in one’s life. That they are just after their parents in teaching life lessons, just like Jiraiya and Kakashi for naruto.

Friendship had always been one of the core themes of naruto. And through Kakashi and naruto, we can see how standing by one’s friend's side in their darkest moment is always more important than delving into the past. I came to love naruto with the few seasons I watched, but I stopped. Because spoilers are one reason, but the main reason was I was not ready to watch the characters go through the saddest moments. It’s hard for me to watch the characters go through their traumatic moment when I know it’s going to happen. It’s hard for my heart. And I hope you watch the anime you are not going to regret the time you spent.
"}]

I have been an entrepreneur for 4 years now and I had entrepreneurial aspirations for many years before that. Like every youngster with entrepreneurial aspirations, I have some people whom I consider to be as my gods of entrepreneurship and among them, Bill Gates, the founder of Microsoft is one whose journey I read about extensively and he is someone who inspired me extensively. As I was thinking about what to write on my weekly blog, I came to know that today is Bill Gates' birthday. While I read a lot about him earlier, watching a series - Inside Bill's Brain is what made me understand him more.

That series follows his journey and speaks about his leadership style, precisely what made him what he is now. Though he comes from a well-off family, with both his parents being well established in their respective profession, Bill is someone who, in my understanding, had a massive urge to create his own identity and a hardcore never-say-die spirit. He is also someone who knows how to grab onto an opportunity and make the most of it.

Also, based on what I read about the man, I feel he is a complete geek and he has an unparalleled understanding of technology but what makes him the influential person he is is his understanding of users. In contrast with Steve Jobs-ian way of saying "users don't know what they want and we will give them a great product", Gates' approach towards building a product is more along the lines of giving users what they want, that they would be able to use in a very easy manner. That is the approach that we did when we built stuMagz. This is one of the many ways in which I took inspiration from the legendary entrepreneur.

Another great thing that I learnt from him is how to identify good leaders as when he stepped down as the CEO in 2000, he appointed Steve Ballmer as the CEO and after Ballmer retired in 2014, Satya Nadella was appointed as the CEO. This hows his exemplary talent in identifying leadership and it is something that I consistently try to do in my company as I believe everyone who works at stuMagz has a potential to be great leaders.

On this note, I want to conclude by saying students should follow great leaders like Gates and try to incorporate the learnings into their own lives as doing so, helped me become the entrepreneur that I am today.
"}]

We'd be happy to assist if you'd like to learn how to use social media marketing for startups. We've put together a list of the top social media marketing tips for startups because the use of social media in digital marketing is so important.

1. Choose the Best Social Media Marketing Channels for Your Startup

Before pursuing any network, what you need to determine is where your firm's connected audience exists. Examples of the greatest social media marketing channels for a startup include Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, Youtube, etc.

Shortlist at most four to five social media marketing channels where you can discover an audience interested in your product or service, then run campaigns on each site to determine which ones are best for your firm.

2. Perform Live Video Streamings

Live videos on Facebook had a rate of engagement of 4.3%, compared to non-live videos' engagement rate of 2.2%, according to a visual content marketing statistics study for 2018. (source: telescope.tv). As a result, live streaming videos must be a part of your list of social media marketing strategies.

3. Produce Content with Good Visuals

To accomplish your goal, your content must be appealing, original, and visually striking. It's all about visually expressing your startup and attracting customers to click on your advertisement (s).

4. Make the Most of What's Popular

You can leverage trending hashtags or create your own personalised hashtags to enhance your social media marketing strategy. In the media and on the market, hashtags are a terrific method to stand out.

5. Utilize Influencer Marketing

Hyderabad continues to be amongst the top three cities searched for jobs amongst job seekers in India. Not just job seekers, but even companies looking to hire talent.

An analysis by job site has also shown that the youth here has proved to be the most in favor of the job market.

Due to the abundance of youth present and the presence of many global multinationals and Indian companies throughout the city, Hyderabadi youth are the most sought out

To make getting hired easier, here are the top 5 skills one has to nurture according to Forbes.

1. Empathetic Listening:

Empathetic listening is critically important for both your success and your team's cohesion, performance, and organizational culture. This means listening to connect with what matters to other human beings.

How do you become an empathetic listener, you ask?

Always strive to ask open-ended questions. Seek to understand.

2. Agility, Flexibility, And Adaptability:

Agility, flexibility, and adaptability are three skills in demand. Learn to adapt to change fast, especially in this fast-evolving modern society. Being flexible makes it easier to work with and being agile will only add to your desirability.

3. Modern Communication

Modern communication is an essential skill. I don't mean your boring PowerPoints and PDFs, I mean skills in micro-learning, video production/editing, and using pictures to tell stories. This is the era where people are learning and shifting fast.

Taking into consideration how attention spans are condensed these days, GenZ is all about games and video-based instruction.

Practice modern communication.

4. Emotional Intelligence

Emotional intelligence is the most predictable skill set that is shown to increase income and job title and gain a competitive advantage. All emotional intelligence competencies, including self- and social awareness, assertiveness, social responsibility, and empathy, can be acquired by assessing your EQi.

How do I increase my EQi, you ask?

First, choose development goals. Second, create action steps to increase competencies

5. Creative Thinking

A key skill is creative thinking. Too many people associate creativity with the arts when, in fact, it is the ability to do something with your imagination. This means not being limited by successes of the past, being open to new ideas from experts and front-line team members, being comfortable brainstorming with a team, always learning, and then having the organization develop a plan and communicate it.
