My grandfather was an ordinary-looking man with extra-ordinary qualities and significance. The superhero of my childhood with silver hair and a golden heart. He was the person who carved my character and taught me ethics. I was bought up under his guidance for what I am grateful for today as he had a huge impact on my life.

When I was five years old due to some vulnerable conditions my parents have left me with my grandparents and went to some other place for a year or two. This phase of my life is unforgettable. The care and affection he showered upon me were immense. No winter, no spring, no summer he was always ready to take care of my each and every minute thing.

One incident I want to share is that one day, I was suffering from ear pain and was unable to sleep. It was midnight around 12:30 and was raining cats and dogs but still, my grandpa holding me up in his arms carried me to the house of a nearby doctor in the village knocked his door and was given the medicine as well as ear drops. That great care and love were his.

Tears roll down my cheeks while writing these sentences as he left this world physically five months ago but he is always attached to me emotionally in my heart and my brain. He always wanted to see me in a good position reaching great heights but I'm sure that he is going to bless me from heaven and would definitely feel happy when I make his dream come true.

''If tears could build a stairway, and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again''.

So, for this World Senior Citizen's Day(i.e. 21st august 2019) take out some time and give it to your grandparents as at this age their heart really feels to spend some time with you. And definitely, you are going to regret in life when they are no more because you only get to know the value of a person when they leave you.

When i reached his house i think i am the happiest person in whole world on that particular time .we used to make the mango pickle, some snacks , BBQ, recipes at home only. My father don't encourage to eat at outside food because they already pre-prepared all my favorites before coming to his house. We play games ,indoor games and others. We used roam places of his friends as gang of his friends we lot enjoyed with my father friends but i really don't know that when i join with them they are also behaves like me so that i am only the senior member in that group as a gang leader. Grandparents play a prominent role in our lives. Many working parents leave their kids at their grandparents while at work. To these kids, their grandparents are no less than their parents. On that, we can learn a lot from them given their experiences.
There are many kids today who don't appreciate the blessing grandparents are because they think they are too demanding. But are they? I don't think after the hardships of life that they faced they deserve to be taken care of after, I believe they have earned the right.

The relationship between grandparents and a grandchild is a special one. The bond is a sacred one. When I was younger the first person I went to whenever I needed someone was my paternal grandmother. My paternal grandfather, he used to come and pick me up from school every day and it was our time and its specialty cannot be described in words. My maternal grandparents are no less we visit them only on holidays but it is special. My maternal grandmother used to give us the best advice when in need. My maternal grandfather is better than any encyclopedia when it comes to any topic of history.
I lost my maternal grandmother due to cancer when I was a kid but luckily enough I do have quite fond memories of her. I lost my paternal grandfather last year and I still miss him like crazy maybe more than others because I was kinda his favorite.
The time we spend with our grandparents should be cherished because we don't know how long we have with time. If there is someone who could love as much as our parents those are our grandparents. So we must respect them, love them as much as possible

txt
Gravity always pulled Shibin towards space, he was born with curiosity like many of us and knowing how different things function and work is what intrigue’s him.

“I always loved space and found it fascinating”, said Shibin knowing how the earth was formed, learning about different planets the different possibilities its very exciting, he always had an eye to capture beyond what we can see and this sparked his love for astrophotography.

At the age of 16 he started capturing different images and his love for astrophotography only kept increasing.

Astrophotography is not as easy as it sounds but with all the educational resources that is available today the complexity of it is reduced, Shibin says there are a lot of aspects involved to take out a good picture and like any skill it takes time and effort to get exceptional at it, he educates himself by watching different videos.

A lot of people influence him but one person he admires is Peter Mckinnon who is one of the best photographer.

An essential gear for him is using a tripod and zoom lens he also focuses on editing his pictures because its just as important as capturing it.

After thinking about this topic, I began to realize the importance of knowing more about my relatives. Sometimes a family tree is written for reasons other than just being able to trace your roots. Do you remember that period of your age when you were just an infant and your grandparents used to take care of you? If yes, then it is amazing. But if no, then this article will surely take you down the memory lane. My birth took place in a missionary hospital in Nirmal Nagar, Belgaum. My mom has flown down to stay with my maternal grandparents at the time of my birth. I was born in March and from the day I was born the pampering had crossed all the bounds. As much as I remember and from what my parents tell e, I always used to be in the arms of one or the other family member and was kept in the cradle during the night time. From birth, I lived with my grandparents for straight 7 years. My play school days, nursery, L.K.G, U.K.G and 1st class of my life was under the guidance of my grandfather and my grandmother. My grandfather a retired Air Force officer used to run a school at that time. The school named Saraswati Balmandir was where I had my 1st 3 years of schooling. Even though my grandfather was the headmaster, the teachers didn't show any kind of leniency. My grandfather used to give me tons of sum when I used to come from school, reminding me that practice makes a man perfect. Till date, he is the best teacher I have ever received who was sweet and strict at the same time. Along with the mathematical numerical, he habituated me to get up early, go on morning walks with him and try to read the newspaper along with him at that time. The study sessions with him were always accompanied by moral values and lessons of life which a4-6 year child could understand. The best part of the years that I had the chance to stay with him was the bedtime stories. Every day the story used to be based on two characters "chanubhai" and "dhanubhai". Each story ended with either me laughing my heart out or silently sobbing in his comfortable arms. For me, my grandfather always is the statue of punctuality and discipline. Whereas my kindness and caring attitude towards people is nurtured by my grandmother. From being her 1-day baby to her 18-year granddaughter, I feel proud when she says how bold and pretty you have become and my reply never changes when I say that whatever I am, it is because of you both. These are the things which make me confident enough to stand on my feet and to face any damn challenge thrown at me by life. They truly have directed my life into a better path.

txt
There are several words with negative connotations. These words are often used to talk about something bad, without even considering the fact that they can be used for positive things. For example, the word ‘cult’ has a negative connotation and I also had to justify my intention behind using that word in stuMagz’ tagline - “Connect. Collaborate. Cult.”. But now I see many big businesses using the word as a part of their branding. So is it time to rethink certain words and make them a part of our lives to ensure higher productivity? I definitely think so and the first word that comes to my mind right now is the word ‘selfish’.

Selfishness has always been associated with greed and all the gyaan has always advised people to be selfless. Selflessness has always been shown as a virtue but I believe it is important for someone to be selfish in some aspects. More specifically, when it is in a professional manner, without hurting anyone or causing harm to anyone.

When a person is selfish and the person wants to achieve something, his/her selfishness will drive them towards success. Their selfishness to be on the top is what will make them push their limits and overcome everything. I believe selfishness is a great enabler and a great motivator. Honestly speaking, I have a few individuals working with me whose selfishness is what makes them work harder and is what that brings out the best in them. I always tell my team to work for themselves and their personal growth as I believe their collective personal growth is the growth of my company. If they work selflessly without caring for their personal growth, I firmly believe that they would not work beyond a point and they would not want to excel.

Bottom-line, be selfish for your own growth.
"}]
