This was my nursery rhyme. At that time I did not realize it was possible to travel to the moon. Today, however, I know it is possible. On 20th July 1969, Neil Armstrong became the first man to walk to the moon. '' A small step for man and a giant leap for mankind '' were his words.

I wish to go to the moon. I don't know why, but my curiosity urges me to make a trip to the moon. If it were my good fortune, I will be on the moon someday. What a great joy it would be to experience being weightless and no gravitation. How I would frisk about lightly and look at the earth hanging in the black sky. A little effort of a leap on my part would make me go to great heights.

In spite of heavy suit and lack of oxygen, there are many advantages of being on the moon that could make life be so much more fun. Out there we almost float, as the moon's gravity is only 1/6th the gravity of earth. My weight would be very less, almost 1/6th of my original weight i.e, I would just be 8.5 kgs on the moon. It would be so easy to lift heavy objects. I would also love to take my grandmother to the moon because it is said in the absence of gravity, human beings would not age quickly and thus my grandmother would benefit by not growing older. No more wrinkles or no dental lose.

How I would enjoy my return journey. To pull me out of the gravitational pull of the moon would be the first thing to do. Once in spacecraft, I would move on till it entered the gravitation of the earth. When it is done, it would be possible to rush down for a gentle splashdown in the deep sea.

When I return from the moon, I would get a lot of spectacular photos of the moon, space, and earth. I wish to be on the moon already. The adventure of the Apollo II astronauts has given wings to my imagination.

There are over 90000 engineering seats in 183 colleges across Telangana. I was reading a news report in Telangana Today which said over a lakh students qualified EAMCET this year and of those, only 53,890 students applied for web counselling to secure seats in engineering colleges.

That means only half bothered going the length even after clearing an exam that they worked hard for two years. A similar scenario was observed in the last three years, according to the same news report. While the reason can’t be definitively zeroed down, going by my interactions with students and going by recent developments in the education sector in Telangana, several speculations can be made.

One of the main factors behind the decline in the number of students applying for convenor’s quota seats could be the increase in the number of private universities in Telangana. Several private universities with their own entrance process have been established in the city and students can get into these with less of a hassle in comparison to affiliated colleges.

The quality and standards of education that many affiliated colleges offer is perhaps another factor, as regardless of whether a student has an engineering degree or any other degree, the salaries they get after being placed in MNCs as a fresher is usually the same. Added to this is the fact that there are very few places where industry relevant subjects are taught in colleges. In startups, it’s a completely different scenario altogether as startups usually focus on a candidate’s ability to deliver as opposed to what degree they have from which college.

That the number of students is declining is something to be concerned about but the factors which led to this are more alarming. As to what can be done, is also speculative as there is no one method which can be implemented to magically increase the numbers.

In my experience, I hardly came across students who were passionate about taking up teaching as a profession. If a significant number of students opt to teach as a career path, I believe many things will change as the new generation will definitely be more receptive and adaptive to newer technologies and more.

Another aspect that colleges - autonomous and digital - can work on is utilising digital platforms to connect students to experts on industry relevant avenues, to ensure students receive learning on updated technologies and more in addition to the college curriculum. Regardless of the factors and the potential answers to address the factors, consistent changes and adaptations are crucial to students’ and colleges’ growth.
"}]
Friendship is a wonderful kind of relationship that we hope will last forever. Just as we all have seasons in our lives, some friendships are also meant to be with us for a season. Everything can suddenly shatter into pieces when something has crossed over our comfort line and betrayed our trust.
We are all constantly evolving as we have different life experiences and learning different lessons from it. Life is about changing and so we can release some friendships which doesn't need us. Some realise it faster while some takes time. We can get over the loss of our friendship by appreciating it for what it was and moving us into this new stage of our lives.

Getting over a broken friendship is very hard to overcome to anyone. We need to realise that the past is gone. We need to believe the fact that today will not be like yesterday and our friendship with them is over. We need to believe the fact that friendships doesn't always lasts forever. Detaching ourselves from people we know is not always easy but sometimes it is necessary. Life is not about having it all figured out, it's about figuring it out. We need to enjoy it instead of hopelessly awaiting for an unknown destination. The only thing we can do is to respect their decision to not be their friend anymore

We generally see that people are often scared to be seen on their own or to do things on their own, running away from the label "Lonely", but we cannot constantly live by the opinions of others and think that we are actually living. 959th hundred!

A sudden thought came. It happened so fast that I can't even express that in words.

December 31st,2018. It will begin tomorrow! finally. But will I be able to survive for that long? It's a 365-day journey. Honestly speaking, being a procrastinator, it looked pretty easy. Standing on day 187th. I feel it the same way I felt on that day(December 31st).

January 1st, 2019.

I scored a mere 42! But it was something special, that is for sure. Since the beginning of my schooling, I always had a feeling that one day I will do "a thing" for the whole 365-days. Even today as a 21-year old I think that I will one day. Standing today after scoring 959 hundred in juggling (by both feet). I learnt a lesson in life that that tomorrow never comes and that was the reason for my procrastination. I think everyone would be thinking that how a procrastinator became a juggler all of a sudden. I know it seems a bit unreal to be honest. I can give many examples like this player that player motivated me and one fine day I woke up and did it! It's definitely not like that for sure. Honestly speaking, I think my self-belief and my self-motivation that how will I see my myself after 50 years from now. And that was the only thing which gave me a push that I need to get up from my bed and kill this procrastination out of my body. And I was willing to sacrifice anything for that. And I think that push worked for me and it worked so well that I am sitting comfortably on it now. I believe my journey is no special but it had one small element in me and that was "I can do it" mindset from the very beginning and in a way it worked for me.

In the beginning, it looked quite simple, to be honest. But as I moved ahead day by day and then month by month, I realised that even if your work is small but still if you have to do it each day, that very work becomes really tough. Every passing day gave me thought that I should leave this and give up. But I had to keep moving ahead with a single thought in my mind that I had on December 31st. And to be honest that gave me the push in each and every passing day and helped me to move ahead.

A simple question which can come in anyone's mind and is that why am I writing this on Day 187 instead of Day 365?

I don't have an answer for that, to be honest. But on this day I felt that I should share my story simply because it will help everyone that actually nothing is impossible if you have the belief. I know that I have not completed 365 days as of now. But I know it within myself, that my body has supported me till today and it will take me to the remaining days...

I don't want to stretch it for too long because I have to speak to you all again... And you know when!

I hope it will bring some positivity in the life of everyone that it's just a thing which is actually nothing. While writing this particular line a quote has stuck in my brain and I want to share it. "Once a procrastinator now I want to be a procrastinator"

God creates beauty. My camera and I are a witness.

Photography is a combination of feelings, seen on the human face. It spans time and distance as a bridge between the worlds. Photography is the beauty of life captured.

Importance of photography:

Photos capture a moment, an emotion, a memory. They keep memories alive. Photos can also show something that is happening all over the world. They tell a story without the need for words. A photograph can take you back in time, move you across the world, it can open your eyes to something you were once unable to see. Special events in life such as weddings, anniversaries, etc are treasured in our memory because of photos. Capturing important moments, precious time and events in the lives of people, definitely makes photography, a very important tool in preserving those memories.

Why do we take photographs?

It is a simple question. But I think that the answers to this question are as many and varied as there are people on this planet. First, I take photographs because I gain perspective and knowledge about things around me. Secondly, I take photographs because it charges one battery. A camera captures moments that a naked eye cannot.

The perspective of a photographer:

Basically, there are two types of photographers. One's who spend their time taking pictures of other persons, nature or the things they find interesting or creative in their daily life. Others who click their own pictures for memories.

Point to be noted is that with the invention of selfie cam people got addicted to the photographs. Photography has become a part and parcel of everyone's life.

How does photography make you feel:

I love photography as an art, I have lots of photographs around my house, some of my family, some of the places we have been to. I find it very relaxing to look at photographs. Having photographs of family and friends around brings up memories and keep them close. It's a more realistic type of art like I can just step into the photographs and be somewhere else. Looking back at old photographs say from where I live can show how much things have changed or grown. It gives a unique insight into how we used to live, or what happened telling history in their own way.

The catchy aspect of photographs is, that they capture a moment that is gone forever and impossible to get it back.

Stranger Things has always been one of the top most entertaining web series since it's ‎release of first season on 15th July, 2016. It instantly became the most popular series among youngsters and the fact that the main characters are played by teens made it more authentic and exciting. Coming to the plot, the story as the title suggests revolves around how four best friends tackle a strange alien intervention into their peaceful and joyful lives in not so popular town of theirs, Hawkins. The series is a perfect mix of emotion, action, sci-fi and comedy. For those who immerse themselves into this series find it very realistic and seems like it's happening right in front you at least until you finish watching. Standing completely different when compared to other similar web-series out there, Stranger Things has literally defined a new phase of entertainment, at least that's how the fans of this series resonate this fact and it seems to be fair claim as well. Thanks to Netflix for staging such a fantastic series and for them, the success of this web series in particular seems to continue for a very long time.

Stranger Things Season 1 and 2 are great and obviously there are huge expectations set for season 3 and after watching season 3, it just didn't meet the expectations... it destroyed them, season 3 is a gigantic success than it's predecessors in my perspective. The perfect blend of the iconic portrayal of friendship that this series is always known for, the beautiful showcasing of emotions and the best part, VISUAL EFFECTS. During certain scenes, it doesn't feel like you are watching a web series anymore as it makes you feel like you are watching a great Hollywood movie. It's just amazing! At this point I am trying very hard not to spill out any spoilers, you cannot just resist yourselves letting out the spoilers after watching the series. But, in the end there is this very emotional arrow that the makers of the series shoot right in to your heart and oh boy! trust me they are very good at what they do.
"}]

Contrary to what many believe, being a writer is actually a profession that pays well and is also one that can make for a good career. In fact, it is also a highly rewarding profession personally as the fact that being a writer involves playing with words to create something that didn’t exist before gives a person an unparalleled sense of satisfaction. Personally, I have been writing for as long as I can remember and I have been writing professionally for a decade now. Having written hundreds of thousands of words, I can say with conviction about how satisfied one feels after taking up writing as a profession.

As far as misconceptions about writing as a profession are concerned, I believe the world can be divided into two categories - the ones who think ‘writing’ is all about penning novels and stories and the ones who think ‘writing’ is just ‘content writing’. In the decade of writing professionally, I have taken up jobs and projects as varied as words itself.

With that, here’s a list of career paths you can take if you wish to take up writing as a profession.

Script writing aka screenwriting

Script writing or screenwriting as it is called, involves writing script/screenplay for videos, films, ad-films and more. Considering how most of the content online now-a-days is video based, there is a growing demand for good screenwriters; especially considering how most viewers are also choosing to opt for web-series and other online forms of entertainment. While this is not the easiest form of writing owing to the high level of creativity and imagination that it needs, it can be highly lucrative and rewarding.

Copywriting/Content Writing

Copywriting is one of the easiest ways of getting into writing as a profession as almost every business needs promotional content to be written. With growing social media usage, the demand for good copywriters is growing at a geometric rate. If you’re good at playing with words to come up with catchy statements, then this is the profession for you. Content writing is similar to copywriting but content writing specifically involves writing engaging content on websites to ensure the target audience likes coming back to the website as opposed to copywriting, whose purpose is to attract potential audience.

Technical Writing

Technical writing involves writing about a particular subject/topic requiring direction or explanation for an end user. This includes writing manuals, instruction booklets, summaries, reports and more. The key to technical writing is to interpret the information from the readers’ perspective and write it in a manner that enables the reader to easily understand what is being spoken about.

Editing

While this profession usually requires one to have worked as a writer for a considerable amount of time, being an editor or a subeditor at a media house is a lucrative profession. Editing requires a high level of language expertise and it also requires knowledge of the target audience as editors usually are the ones who edit the writer’s content to ensure it stays in tune with the target audience.

Reporting

Being a reporter at a media house is one of the most challenging jobs that a writer can take up but it can also be a highly rewarding one as reporters are the ones who bring truth out in addition to telling stories of individuals and activities that aren’t told. If one works as a reporter at a media house, he/she will get to try different forms of writing and learn nuances of storytelling, enabling them to take up any other form of writing.

txt
rich_1562310399967
