Article 370 of the Indian constitution is one of the most debated and controversial provision. Forget about revoking or strengthening of article 370, even a demand of discussion on article 370 was equivalent to stirring a hornet's nest. This article deals with the provision of certain special powers to the state of Jammu and Kashmir. It grants a 'temporary' autonomous status to the state. The article was an outcome of Kashmir's accession to India after independence.

As the things stood, the Muslim majority were apprehensive about their identity getting lost in a Hindu dominant country. "How you respond to your circumstance will determine the result"

Each of us are surrounded by so many circumstances, every minute we face something new and just like the law of physics every action surely does have an equal and opposite reaction.

The way you react to your present circumstance will determine the result you’re bound to receive. Circumstance means a fact or condition connected with or relevant to an event or action. There is different circumstance that we can face in life, it doesn’t last for long but the way you react to it can make a lasting impact.

Somebody portrayed this very powerful saying , “It’s not what happens to you, but how you react to it that matters” .

Each of us go through tough and beautiful situations and it’s our choice to continue, live and surround ourselves be it bad, good or we can choose to come out of it.

Circumstance’s in our life I believe is for a reason it makes us stronger, wiser and more experienced. We can’t really avoid a circumstance but we can choose to ignore certain situations but there’s a whole new level of confidence and strength that you can receive when you face and come out of your circumstance.
"}]

At the age of 18 I was forced to capture the photos of my friends in our college fest, that was first time for me taking photos with a camera I hated it but was different experience.... From then I photographed my Friends, their girlfriends and some people even I don't know them... It was their faces i tried to portray. Now, thinking back, I found it symptomatic. The fascination with the human has never left me. Every face I see seems to hide- sometimes fleeting to reveal- the mystery of another human being. Later, capturing this revelation became the goal and passion of my life.. I love to capture the random images more than posing... But more than everything capturing birds is the best of all because we can find something different everytime we see them.... So capture someone's happiness and make memories ❤️ ❤️❤️

txt
Mental Health Awareness is still a new term for most of us and we fail to empathize with people around us who reach out for help. It's often too late until we realize the consequences of it. According to the WHO (World Health Organization), mental health is:

"... a state of well-being in which the individual realizes his or her own abilities, can cope with the normal stresses of life, can work productively and fruitfully, and is able to make a contribution to his or her community."

There's a lot of bullying involved when you come out as a person with an unsettled mind. This occurred to me when I had a conversation with one of our college students where he mentioned that he fears being judged about not being 'macho' enough or being 'mad' while dealing with his own mind. To be able to control the bullying around coming out, we must first encompass the basics of mental health. This is just to help you all to try and be aware of the causes/symptoms of mental illnesses and the ways in which you can figure out whether you or anyone around you needs help.

For the starters, we all know that high parental expectations, passivity of college administrators, bullying in college, highly competitive academic culture and the lack of mental health help are driving most of the students to dark places in their minds. All of these factors might or might not be the cause for mental illnesses. It varies from person to person. However, regardless of the cause, understanding the basics of these illnesses and spotting their symptoms can make a significant difference.

Mental health disorders can be broadly classified into anxiety disorders, mood disorders and schizophrenic disorders.

Anxiety Disorders are disorders in which the person senses an increased amount of fear within themselves and avoids being in or around situations which could trigger their fears. These disorders include panic disorder, phobias, obsessive compulsive disorder(OCD), post traumatic stress disorder(PTSD). Panic disorders can be spotted when the person displays signs of sudden paralyzing terror about an impending situation. Phobias are usually the fears associated with one particular object/person/gender/activity etc. People suffering from OCD most commonly exhibit a powerful urge to perform repetitive/compulsive acts even in simple day-day activities. PTSD is often seen in a person when they go through a terribly frightening experience which scars their mind. People with PTSD constantly feel that their lives or the lives of people around them are in grave danger.

Mood Disorders are the disorders in which the person experiences extreme moods swings ranging from mania to chronic depression. Major Depression is primarily a prolonged period of sadness where the person is no longer interested in their day to day life and remains detached. In Bipolar disorders, the person switches from extreme happiness to a dreadful state of despair, mostly without realizing that they're doing so.

Schizophrenic disorders haven't yet been researched on enough to determine whether they're a single disorder or a couple of disorders. This disorder is commonly called Schizophrenia and the person going through it has a difficulty in processing information and has an extremely fragmented thought process. They experience delusions and hallucinations both positively and negatively.

The common symptoms that you spot for any of these mental illnesses that can help you/your friends are:

-Withdrawing from people or activities you would normally enjoy.

-Sleeping or eating too much or too little.

-Feeling as if nothing matters.

-Consistently low energy.

-Using drugs more than normal (including alcohol, marijuana, cocaine etc).

-Displaying uncharacteristic emotions.

-Not being able to complete standard tasks, such as getting to college or cooking a meal.

-Persistent thoughts or memories that reappear regularly.

-Thinking of harming oneself or others.

-Hearing voices.

-Delusions.

The least we all can do for ourselves if we happen to be going through anything as such is to try and make minor lifestyle changes, talk to people who we think can help us- if it's mild. Seek professional help if it's major. The least we all can do for anyone around us who goes through it is to not laugh at them/bully them but to empathize with them and try to help them out by ourselves or by suggesting professional help if we can.

Educate people about mental health.

Reach out, seek help. You matter.

Exactly 19 years ago he was born on this day with a loud cry , making his parents throw all their worries in garbage and feel happy. On that day except his mom and dad, no one were there around him to pamper him and to take him into their arms... Days passed he had a younger brother ,his mother turned mentally discharged women. His father taught him ,his elder sister and his younger brother to lead a life with courage, bravery ,confidence and a rich behavior... Days passed he reached his 10years of age ,he understood things ,thought of working and helping his father in business. He used to work in "me-seva" along with his father and his father earned profit in large number. Their life turned rich ,financially.Though they had enough money ,he used to work and pay his school fee alone ,in his 9th and 10th standards. Lead a very happiest life ,with his father who is the only world of his ,from his childhood.. All of sudden business was been cheated by employees and he and his father saw great unexpexted loss. I’ve had many indirect teachers in my life. Reading, college, events and public speaking are some of them but if I were to choose one to talk about, it is travelling. It puts one in touch with different people, different cultures, different everything and most of the time, changes a person's perspective on the world entirely. But most of all, it puts one in touch with a different side of themselves as one can have time to introspect.

This change in perspective is extremely important for students, as in just a few years, these students head out to face the real world in many ways. Travel is something that also prepares students to take on challenges and handle them. But owing to familial reasons and financial reasons, students don’t travel enough and that is why I am penning this down, in an attempt to bring out the benefits of travelling.

txt
rich_1565006720498

I have been travelling extensively for work and every single time I travel, I learn something new. One of the major things that travelling taught me is to network with new people as I believe there is a lot one can learn through interactions. Many people that I met in my travels have contributed to my growth as a person and as an entrepreneur in some way or the other and I firmly believe it is something that students really need as it impacts a person’s perspective greatly.

While the shift in perspective and knowledge sharing are the obvious benefits of travel, it also teaches students other crucial skills like time management, budgeting and financial planning besides potentially kickstarting the learning of a new language. Travel is also a sure shot way of reiterating to oneself that there is a lot to learn. On the fun side, travel lets you try new cuisines and cultures.

txt
rich_1565006720499

Attending fests in colleges in other cities is the easiest way for students to travel. This also makes students take up projects that one wouldn’t normally do, as fests and competitions require one to actually do something. Apart from the memorable fun that you'll have with your friends on the trip, interacting with students from all over the place at these fests is another major advantage towards travelling this way. Taking up vlogging or writing about your travels is another plus that travel gives, as it builds your online presence.

"They should feel like home,

Warm and known,

Where one sometimes has to stand alone,

But which always feels own,

To the very skin and bone."

-Sadia [spraypainted_roses (via Instagram)]

Today, I would love to write sweet poems on friendships that left their mark like that of milk and honey on your soft lips , but what is a poem if it doesn't make you relate your feelings to its raw blatant words as bittersweet as they can be?

Let me start by the dreamy definition of a 'perfect friend' that is long gone down the days in my life that i've been experiencing(but plus point i've been told by wise men and women that it's completely okay). Even a mother can sometimes be standing in a direction opposite to your flow.

The thing that i've learnt and want to share with you, is that a true friend is never really the one who stays by your side forever, or who shows you what the world is like or even agrees to whatever you say because that would not be a human at all in the first place!

As stated profoundly by Rupi Kaur that "Representation is vital otherwise the butterfly surrounded by a group of moths, unable to see itself, will keep trying to become the moth" makes me focus on a great trait of a friend which is to not only be one's window to help see the surroundings but also be a mirror by which he/she can make him/her realise what makes him/her different and help one enhance those qualities.

A friend is also the one that sometimes is not by your side and that hurts you, like hell trust me, and that somehow shows you how much you want the person beside you. I wouldn't dare use the word 'need' here because as harsh as it sounds no-one can't live without you, maybe your absence leaves a hole in their heart for a day or a couple of weeks or maybe few months or a maximum of some years and then their heart will finally fill the gap, maybe not with any other person but with something that would give them some kind of hope.

Also a friend is someone that states his/her voice as equally passionately as you make yours heard to them, no matter how opposite this stands with regards to yours, but also has an open mind enough to see your point of view on the topic and be fluctual from their words. And focus on my sentence which shows them fluctual to 'words' and not 'promises'!

In many lives, as I've seen the question always comes down to one point as to who stays forever that you wish to think as your friend, but sometimes if you love a flower in a garden, wouldn't watering it from afar be much better than plucking it and keeping it as close to you, indirectly leaving it to wither away?

People are most often wrecked by one experience giving it their whole that they refuse to give the deserving one that comes later on even a part of themselves.

I swear to God that there were days in my life when people walked away and the land beneath my feet also moved away with them. There were days when the floods of patience would sweep upon my barren heart but the waters refused to seep into it to make it alive and happy again. But as temporal things are, I survived, and today i feel no shame to tell my story to you people no matter the comments which are to come from your way or the image you are gonna create of me in your mind.

But with some responsibility over humanity, I beg you, as a well wisher maybe, to be someone's mirror and their reason to smile or even come to college on days that make them feel gloomy, appreciate people around you for the things they do even if it's a tad bit better than what you can do.

And lastly, I'd take this opportunity to wish all the names starting from 'a' way down till 'z' in my life that came like seasons and lived with me for unimaginable reasons, right from friends, family till the very foes, and left traces of themselves that had an impact on me both positive and negative that made me who I am today. This includes the one who also gave me false shelter and fake love which maybe I was very much in need of at that point of my life and I hope one day our paths cross again and I'll be able to proudly (without any hatred) tell my kids or friends that these were the ones who made me who I am today and I hope that in this moment, for YOU, I'm enough.
