On the day of exam:  On the outside,  we are like -  Spartanssss!! This is warrrrrrr ..

And on the inside - Bhagvanji ! pass karado!

As someone (I don’t know who that is!) said "You don't know the true strength of a man until his back is up against the wall.”  This quote pretty well sums up this article.

Every engineering student, irrespective of his EAMCET rank gets a special talent after joining engineering  as if it was in his/her genes all this while. That talent is – pulling a one- nighter with ease. Or should I say – one night batting?  IMAGE SOURCE

In my case, I’ve realized that studying since day 1 of the semester is equivalent to studying one day before the exam. Well it certainly requires a lot of flair and as engineers,  we never lack that. For instance, When I open the textbook at 5 pm, every minute I study is double that of what I would’ve studied a week ago. I realize that I’ve survival instincts and my mind gets tuned to reduce distractions by reminding me of the consequences. My Level of Motivation is at its peak. Irrespective of what subjective stuff I might have learnt, I have surely learnt time management.

As engineering students, We learn to like the subjects we hate, begin hating the subjects we love. And most importantly, we all will have that one friend who can explain units just a while before the exam ( and sometimes, I get to be that angel in disguise!). The irony is , we won't remember what the professor taught us but we’ll surely remember what that angelic friend explained.

Well, the sad part is that it is nothing to be proud of! While facing mock interviews and viva ,  I’ve realized the importance of “studying” instead of skimming. So, for the beginners who haven’t entered the Bermuda triangle  yet (read: engineering), kindly try to learn at least the basics in all the subjects, so that your future isn’t relegated to a question mark.

Reality check: Yet, as human tendency, we procrastinate the thought of changing our approach until the next exam and voila! History repeats.
