HITMAN OF CMRCET

"Cricket as a passion is distinctly contagious"

My first cricket bat was a tree branch and thus the journey started off from there, with my tiny fingers struggling very hard to hold the real cricket bat firm in my little palm when I was in the 2nd class says Vanga Balayesu of ECE 3rd year from CMRCET.

In childhood, he used to play various outdoor games with his cousin, out of which he found cricket to be more interesting and so he slowly shifted his focus towards this particular game and developed his skill set there. He was a left-handed batsman basically, but he slowly adapted himself to play with his right hand when he was in class 7th.

He was the captain of the cricket team in his schooling and won many inter-school cricket competitions being successful in leading his team towards success. He would also go to the cricket academies to take coaching and would play the practice matches there. He was capable of playing and winning the game with people who were elder than him with an age gap of 4 to 5 years right from childhood.

SACHIN TENDULKAR was his inspiration to play this game but after his retirement, his favorite cricketer now is ROHIT SHARMA, but he believes in one of the Sachin Tendulkar's quotes stating, "Enjoy the game and chase your dreams. Dreams do come true".

He did not get much chance to play this game when he was studying intermediate as he was pressurized to secure a good Eamcet rank, completely dedicating his time towards studies. But, once he joined engineering he again started to play the game and was also selected to represent our college cricket team but due to some reasons, he couldn't make it.

He loves to bat, he's a hitter (big striker of the ball). He left bowling as he was teased for that was considered to be a weird action and started leg-spin and fast bowling, which a few years later became a trend after India's top bowler JASPRIT BUMRAH doing the same.

The dream of being a cricketer was pissed off as he was insisted to get a good job in the IT sector first, and then to think about anything else. But, cricket is still in his eternal spirit and he makes sure that every weekend he dedicates a good amount of time to play it in one his favorite grounds. Not now, but one day he would surely strive hard in order to make his dream come true.

Wishing him all the success to achieve his dream one day!!!
