In India, if you get a government job, you've basically made it in life. The relic of a socialist India still lies fresh in people's minds, because till this day there hasn't been another job in the country that has consistently given job security as much as a government job has. Going for a government job itself is a noble cause however, and we must commend people who try and put their time to use by studying to serve the people of the country.

Not everyone is cut out to be an IAS or an IPS officer, but that doesn't mean you can't try to serve your country through civil services via other means. While the aforementioned posts are pan-India, there are state civil services for each state of the country, where you work under the state government. So the dream of getting a government job and serving the people is accessible to those who lack the means to crack the IAS, or those who simply love their state and want to stay as close to their roots as possible. So without further ado, here's how you can get into state service

1. Prepare in advance

This goes without saying at this point, really. The State Public Service Commission is not an easy tree to shake and get the apples of government jobs, it takes passion and dedication to crack the SPSC just like how much it takes to crack the UPSC.

A rivalry forged in history, hardened by conflict and vouched for by passion. India versus Pakistan is a spectacle of national pride and a showcase event irrespective of the stage. But when the setting is international cricket, well, it’s incredibly difficult to find fixtures that could compare.

It’s not just about that one game or 50 overs when these two titans of cricket take each other on. It’s about bragging rights, it’s about being the best in the subcontinent (Sorry Bangladesh and Sri Lanka), it’s about showing who’s boss, and in this case, who gets to be the champion of champions, in the Champions Trophy. Growing up watching cricket, one couldn’t get a more gripping game of cricket than India taking on Pakistan. Despite never winning against us in any World Cup game, the butterflies in the stomach never truly go away because of the stature of the neighbours from the north west. A Pakistan cricket match was a family binding exercise. The match-day is as holy as any national holiday.

Empty roads, deserted play grounds, packed living rooms and a never ending broadcast of live sport. That is what cricket was growing up. I have some beautiful memories growing up of this game, the at times impenetrable trio of Yousuf, Younus and Butt being dismantled by a hat-trick from Irfan Pathan in Karachi. Gautam Gambhir taking on Shahid Afridi and Kamran Akmal on the pitch. Harbhajan Singh hitting a six after being challenged by Shoaib Akhtar and winning the match at the very end. Or the T20 World Cup final 0f 2007. This match never ceases to entertain.

Over the years, this colossal game has moulded many a man into greats, ensuring their stories to be told years after the dust settles. The likes of Sachin Tendulkar, Virendra Sehwag for India, Misbah-Ul-Haq, Umar Gul and Shoaib Malik for Pakistan all made some unforgettable contributions for their nations when faced by the pressure of this high stakes encounter. We grew up watching these games, the vocal crowds supporting both teams anywhere in the world made sure it felt as much a home game as any. Even in the dark years of the Indian cricket, we took solace in the fact that India still ranked above Pakistan in the ICC rankings, we took solace in seeing Sachin ranked #1 in ODI batsman rankings and calmed our hearts at seeing Inzamam ranked well below our god. We never for a second believed their pacers were a shade better than ours (in hindsight maybe they were). We lauded our spinners’ quality and ridiculed Pakistanis for not even having two world class spinners.

There was nothing like an India v Pakistan cricket match to bring together the whole family, or for what it’s worth, the entire country. And to an extent it still is but maybe over the course of the past few years, we’ve become a bit too good for our south Asian counterparts. The growth if for everyone to see, the fielding and bowling capabilities of the current crop is miles ahead of what we had back in 2006. Maybe subconsciously I want Pakistan to develop as well. The cliff edge competitiveness is lost a bit in the wake of our success. Personally, I wouldn’t sweat if India faced off in the group stages because we’d be the winners hands down. Just as our first game of the tournament this year. But this is different, this is the final. And Pakistan is never an easy opponent in any final.

They gave us a run for our money in the t20 world cup, the Asian cup and many others. We came out on top a few times but also fell well short of what’s required on many occasions. Despite never losing a game to Pakistan in the World Cup matches, after our group stage win earlier in the tournament, we sit on a well balanced 2-2 head to head record. A theme that is repeated in the total number of Champions Trophy titles as well. (Australia and India both share the record for most number of CT titles). How about we kill two birds with one stone and make both those stats 3-2 in our favour this Sunday, 3 PM IST with London as the backdrop. Get in!
"}]
A lot of effort goes into being an entrepreneur, there are rules, then there are unspoken rules which, oftentimes, can be beyond your control. The nature of entrepreneurship is one where you dive headfirst into a problem in a gorge and come up with a solution while freefalling, it is risky, and a strong gust of wind, which in this case would be unforeseen circumstances, can knock you off balance. The nature of entrepreneurship, then, becomes how you deal with that strong gust of wind knocking you off course.

It is no surprise then that such conditions attract the most resilient of people to the field, people like Gayathri Choda for example; not only did she build her company from the ground up, she has been responsible for its tremendous growth after launching in 2015, two years ago. Being an entrepreneur is difficult on its own, but being a woman and an entrepreneur is a whole different level of difficulty, let alone building a Digital marketing powerhouse on your own. Why have these symbols that have been referred to as pound sign for decades, become so high profile all of a sudden?

What this means is these cyber appendages Internet users tack on to keywords are here to stay -- at least well into the foreseeable future. So, understanding what they are and how to use them can be a real benefit to both your personal and professional lives.

Hashtags did not begin its journey when social media did. These metadata tags have been around for quite some time now, first being considered or used in 1988on Internet Relay Chat (IRC).

These began to be used for grouping of messages, image content and compiling videos into categories. The purpose of using hashtags is so people can easily search data through them.

In October 2007, Nate Ridder from California, started applying hashtag #sandiegofire for all his posts.

It was intended to inform people worldwide about the ongoing wildfires in the area at the time.

Stowe Boyd is known to be the blogger who first was said to have officially called them "hash tags" in a blog post. I

n August, 2007
Twitter formally adopted hashtags in July 2009 and any text with a # would become hyper-linked. It all become popular when twitter introduced “Trending Topics” that would place the most popular hashtags right up the homepage.

Hashtags can be used for personal as well as business applications. Personally, hashtags are used to keep the family and friends up-to-date on what is going on in a person’s life and the things that they are most interested to know about more. As status updates are a medium to do this, hashtags are a medium to goup certain aspects in life.

For example, if your friends or family members are interested in trending a cause and spreading a word about it because you are involved in it, they can simply hashtag your #cause to know latest updates.

And not only about you, but others doing the same.

Corporations have been responsible for creating some of the most popular hashtags, doing so to promote a specific product or service. Small companies have followed suit, incorporating trending hashtags into their social media presence. It's a way not only to join in on a conversational topic, but create new dialogue. Some of the companies use hashtags to keep track of competitors marketing. These Meta tags are useful in talk-up campaign or spreading buzz about an upcoming event.

Of course there are a few drawbacks too.

First and foremost is that you don't own them. There are no rules or guidelines. When you add the hash symbol before a word, it becomes easy for anyone else to grab it and exploit it. It also becomes troublesome, especially in business world, if it's hijacked and used nefariously.

For example, McDonalds, which is commonly associated with junk food and obesity (despite their efforts to improve that image) started a #McDStories hashtag that went viral in a bad way. Around 1,500 "stories" went out from users claiming food poisoning, bad employees and various other complaints. The good news is that only 2% of the Tweets that came in were negative, but the press they got from it was enough to sweat about.

For most people, the hashtag is used for fun. Many trending hashtags, like #ProudtoBeaFanOf are simply used to share an opinion. Others help organize news stories around major events. And sometimes they're just made up on the fly to make a Tweet sound funnier. The interpretation and usage is always up to you, like most Twitter lingo, but the most basic function of a hashtag is to create a single, organized feed of Tweets around each one.
