Every college needs a perfect hang out spot. What to do if your college has many? The good thing is that every week has 5-6 working days so we can fulfill our needs by then.

Here are some of the following hangout spots nearby.

The place is basically a country side surrounded with some real good food. The place serves amazing food i.e south Indian food with varieties of dishes. The cost of the amazing mouth-watering palette is just mere thirty.

There is another one which serves as an ice cream shop. Due to the extreme weather condition. It is necessary to keep yourself hydrated by trying out cold icy shakes and delicious fruit salad which nourishes the water table within you. The prince ranges up from fifty till a hundred. So, you save again a bit apart from spending lavishly at cafe coffee day and end up getting a cockroach. The place is totally hygiene and it serves a good atmosphere for the customers.

Then there are several other biriyani huts which serve amazing biriyani and that too of all kinds. Whenever I go there the queue is quite severe and the food smells absolutely delicious and makes a ship sink since my mouth actually started to water.

So, these are basically the hangout spots in and around my college locality.
"}]

If you're like me and you value good sound quality and don't want to burn a hole in your pocket for buying an excellent sounding music system which also has Bluetooth, the F&D 5.1 Channel 700x Speaker is the one for you.

F&D has a long history of providing excellent sound quality for the asking price, and the 700x comes with a guarantee of providing some of the best sound quality in this price range. But when you have a product that offers you more than what you pay for, it is something that shouldn't be avoided.

The Pros:

The Bluetooth, along with its versatility of being used both as a home theatre system (not a very good one though) and a speaker for your computer, or simply connecting it to your phone. All of this, combined with the sound quality make it a product worth checking out. The bass is not that great, so if you're into bass heavy songs, it won't meet your needs. However, it offsets its poor base with excellent lows and mids, and I can personally attest to the fact that listening to classic rock on these speakers are a treat of its own.

The best part about these speakers is that with some clever wire management, you can put speakers around your room and listen to quality music from your phone using Bluetooth.

The Cons:

The bass is poor, bordering on very poor. It surprises me that F&D would let this get through their quality check but it seems that the poor quality of the bass is by design. This is clearly not a speaker system designed for deep bass, and whatever it manages is just passable.

The other issue I have with this speaker system is choppy Bluetooth connection. There are breaks in the audio very occasionally, rare enough to not notice at times, but when you do notice, it gets really annoying.

The measure of a changed world is different for different people. The sceptics might say that nothing is changing, but there are a few who go out of their way to make sure they are there for the underprivileged, using what they are good at to change their world, despite what the critics and the cynics believe. One such person is the 18-year-old Sidharth Bendi, a musician and student of CBIT. We all imagine the roar of a crowd at a packed cricket stadium when we think of cricket, but that's only a part of the story. Legends playing on the ground had to travel a long path to reach there on the grass pitch. My college also had the privilege to bring out one such awesome personality to the cricket field. Sankarankutty Sandeep Warrier (born 4 April 1991 in Thrissur, Kerala, India) is an Indian first-class cricketer. Sandeep is a right-arm fast medium bowler who plays first-class cricket for Kerala. He was signed up by the IPL franchise Royal Challengers Bangalore in 2013.

Sandeep Warrier was a 2010-2013 EEE batch student at Federal Institute of Science and Technology (FISAT). During his college days, he was the cricket team captain of the college. He also got selection for the MG university team. Under his captaincy, FISAT team bagged many trophies at the college level including the Rajagiri Cup, Adishankara Cup and the FISAT trophy. He was a true motivator and an enthusiastic team player.

It was around 9 or 10 and, watching his brother and some older guys playing, he wanted to be like them, to play like them, with them. When he was 10 he was called to play with people aged 20 or 22 because of his exceptional bowling skills that were outstanding, thence started the journey. His inspiration was the South African bowler Dale Steyn. He started playing in school team and later in the college team. In between these, huge opportunities too fell on his path. The major teams he played with include India Under-23s, Kerala, Royal Challengers Bangalore. Sandeep Warier a right-arm medium pacer from Kerala came into limelight after his impressive spell of 6-44 for Kerala against Jharkhand in 2012. In 2013, Warrier was signed by the Indian T20 league team, Bangalore for the sixth edition and was yet again brought back by the same outfit. Continuous hard work, practice and determination were all that he had that brought him to this stage in career.

He says “discipline and hard work are the top priorities in his playing career and he wishes to learn from past mistakes in order to get better”. A person can be successful at sports only if he enjoys the game, and have fun on the field. Working with famous players made him realise how this game can be played efficiently and skillfully.

Speaking in front of a large crowd of sports enthusiasts and students, Sachin Tendulkar shared his wisdom on the significance of perseverance and discipline early in life: "Chase your dreams and never give up at any moment. Most of the people try but leave the race when the actual target is just a couple of steps ahead. Goal setting is important but working on them with total dedication is more important. Do not go for shortcuts in sports and studies. To achieve something big, you must follow a proper procedure," said he. Yes, all true success stories show this amazing path for building a bright career.

Editor's Note: Some of the images used in this review are from the TV show adapted from the book, also called American Gods.

It is my wholehearted belief that Neil Gaiman is a wizard. It's no secret that I'm a fan of his work, and with the TV show out now (which you can watch on Amazon Prime Video), it felt like the right time to review one of his craziest books: American Gods.

As someone whose only qualification when it comes to reviewing books is reading and loving the written word and being buried in books since childhood, Gaiman is a nice little jig into the world of ancient old myths and dead religions. His obsession with Norse Mythology is quite apparent in one of his central characters, let's just call him Mr.Wednesday, because I do not want to reveal more than I should about the book here, apart from a single line that explains the plot without getting into details.

Our protagonist, Shadow, spends three years in jail hoping only to go back home to his wife, and right before he's released, finds out that both his wife and his best friend died in a mysterious car crash. On the way to his hometown of Eagle Point, Shadow runs into the enigmatic Mr.Wednesday, who pulls him in the midst of a war between Gods, both old and new.

Ian McShane as Mr.Wednesday

Gaiman's trademark style is the mood he sets with his writing, the character he builds and the way the story movies. It's methodical, fluid, and still, has the time to amaze you by taking time with its characters and going through the motions of becoming an iconic book. Travelling across America on a mission, Shadow accompanied with Mr.Wednesday run into some the old man's 'old friends', uniting them for a cause.

Neil Gaiman's interest into old mythologies comes to life in this book as he turns the stories he's devoured into one we can devour with pleasure. If there is anything I would compare to how this book feels and flows, I would compare it to his Sandman series, and anything compared to Sandman is a bonus.

American Gods is a fantastic book, if you're an average reader and have never come across one of Gaiman's books before, this would be the perfect place to start. It's weird, it's stylish, it's funny even at times, and Gaiman is an expert at guiding your hand through the wonderland he's built in the pages of American Gods.

It's a nice little twist to the age-old mythologies of the world, and there is nothing quite like it.
